"Struggle" is a bordering on propaganda. We could have played a roster out of a nursing home and had the same success slowing down Joe Burrow. There wasn't a defense at all. No other contender has had such a lack of competitiveness on one side of the ball. We would have crushed the Chiefs last year with Baltimore's defensive performance against them and Josh's offensive performance. Multiple score victory. The Bills are healthy this year on defense for the first time in recent memory. Let's have some optimism that we will see a competitive defense against an absolutely elite offense under a great coach, but trying to erase the history of how McDermott defenses have stacked up in the playoffs after a wild card win over the Broncos is just foolishness

They are healthy. I sympathized a bit last year with how we were scraping the bottom of the barrel at LB against a great offensive coach. This year, I'm ok if they give up a bunch of points, I'm ok if they lose, but they better look a hell of a lot better than any of our efforts in past years.

Well they're certainly well rested.

They've been covering everything really well from the glances we've gotten at the downfield angles and they've been pretty soft against the run. The only place they're really struggling is in the red zone, where a little more creativity might be in order

The scariest thing is that even if the Bills defense gets absolutely torched for 40+ points with little resistance and Josh Allen keeps the game close with his usual top tier playoff performances, we're just going to trot McDermott back out there again next season, and potentially with a new unproven OC.

It doesn't really matter because every offense becomes a juggernaut against our playoff defense.

Joe Burrow would make this defense look like Rookie mode on Madden with your older brother dragging defenders away from the play intentionally. They'll score 60. Need them as far away from us as possible. I hope they fly out to Aruba after a Denver victory

This team has very limited talent at a lot of positions and the coaching isn't exactly stellar either. They are missing a few foundational pieces. Need a good off-season or two
