The Thread To Vent On Nancy Pelosi & Her Hubris

Lol without a lot of those corporations, many workers wouldn’t have jobs. You need both. Consumers and businesses are taking a big hit right now. -
Josh Allen "Prove it" Season In Year 3
Boatdrinks replied to longtimebillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I only care about wins. I’m not as concerned about Allen putting stats as I am about him playing winning football. The defense might slip statistically , but they’re a unit that’s good enough to contend for a title. The offense hasn’t been good enough, but I think they’re closer now in terms of talent. Still questions at TE and RT, but they are getting close. The schedule is an unknown every year, regardless of what the prognosticators say. The end results might not be entirely on Allen, but his progress/ performance will have the biggest impact on the Bills season. -
Josh Allen "Prove it" Season In Year 3

He has to lead the Bills to a 10 win or more season, a playoff berth and a minimum of a playoff win. Anything less would be disappointing as a year 3 result for Allen. -

There will be long term changes ,but they will be related to the economy. Not “ social distancing” -

Will COVID19 Impact the 2020 Season?

It will impact it, and already has. I don’t think it will be cancelled, but I could see a curtailed preseason. -

I’m not opposed to such things from a political standpoint, but its not my call to make. However, those whose call it is cannot say no to it, then whine and blame others when the day they hoped would never come arrives. -

They would like nothing better than economic ruin for the middle class. Sign them up permanently for benefit programs and secure their votes. Prosperity is for the ruling class, not the peasants. -
The Next Pandemic: SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19

Oh, ok sure. Cuomo wastes money, but I doubt many here would have critiqued that purchase. He doesn’t get into squabbles with reporters because they’re on his side ! The media is largely an extension of the Democratic Party and has been for quite some time. -
The Next Pandemic: SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19
Boatdrinks replied to 1B4IDye's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Agreed. I keep harping on it , but it was pointed out in Friday’s NY Post that the lack of ventilators in NYS can be traced back to Cuomo in 2015. He decided not to include their purchase in the budget. He’s a fraud of the highest order and wants to score political points by blaming Trump. NYers should see that the emperor truly has no clothes in this case. Cuomo”s priorities are things such as his bloated Medicaid program and giving drivers licenses to illegals, not prepping for a pandemic. -

It’s not perfect, but it is better than the alternative by far. -

Would have led to the same measures a couple weeks ago. Testing wouldn’t ( and still doesn’t) change anything else in the equation. The medical system , lack of resources and a vaccine are the problem. Still a shortage of tests as it is. There was just no preventing this virus, short of actually having enough supply of hospital space and equipment. That was years in the making. -
I’ll take Trumps loony before I’d even consider putting this nation in the hands of early onset Joe or worse yet, Sanders. That would be more scary than even a Coronavirus.
-
Lol... he should have told everyone to panic, hoard toilet paper and close everything down for a year until there is a vaccine. Then see if there’s a country left when we step outside.
-
He closed off China. Best thing that could have been done at the time. What’s going on around the world is evidence that there wasn’t anything to be done that would stop the virus. US medical system still has far more ventilators per 1000 population than any other in the world. By the end of the year just about everyone is America will have had this virus. Just what, pray tell, do you believe could have been done that would prevent the current situation ? ( not expecting a good answer btw)
-
Oh, you mean while the Dems were busy with their asinine impeachment crap? Lol ...Cuomo knew of a shortage of ventilators in NYS if there were an epidemic back in 2015. He declined to put it in the budget. Probably wanted a big Medicaid boost in there though.

Very true, and it’s on display now at Walmart and other fine retailers near you.

One Flu over the Cuckoo's Nest (Conspiracy Theories)
Boatdrinks replied to Foxx's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
It’s disturbing how many sheep in NY and CAL are allowing themselves to be controlled by dictator Governors without a thought. Their very financial lives are being torn asunder , but they stand feebly by. Poor planning by Governor Cuomo ( he was warned of a ventilator shortage in the situation of a pandemic back in 2015) has led to this. He chose to not add one half of one percentage point to the budget by purchasing thousands of ventilators at $36k apiece. That would be a bargain price now. Anyway, he can’t keep the charge up for too long without destroying the greater economy for hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers, perhaps even millions in the name of saving a few thousand lives. It’s a tough choice for sure, but there is no good outcome. Our medical system still has many more ventilators per 1000 population than all of the socialized medicine countries. It’s still not enough, but we need to pool resources and do the best we can while opening up daily life and trying to take precautions. At the current rate, many more lives will be ruined than lost to the virus. -
One Flu over the Cuckoo's Nest (Conspiracy Theories)
Boatdrinks replied to Foxx's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
It will turn out to be like a very bad flu, when all is said and done. Shutting down life as we know it is a massive overreaction. This thing isn’t going to simply vanish. Focus on increasing capacity of hospitals for the short term with makeshift facilities etc, and that’s that. Most people that get this aren’t going to be greatly affected. The local reporting on new cases when they pop up is ridiculous because far more people out there actually have it or have had it. There’s hardly any testing , so tracking these cases as if they are lepers is idiocy. All of us have friends , family and acquaintances that will test positive for this. -

I disagree completely. Blue states would turn red, is more like it.
