The Next Pandemic: SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19

I see you’ve bought their BS on the bail reform too. Not surprised. There’s an easy way to stay out of jail. -
Eric Reid Demanding Investigation and Revote on CBA

Could be a simple error. It can be omitted if that’s the case; not a reason to have another vote. The source makes me highly skeptical, your mileage may vary. -

Cuomo, Blas, and the DOCCS are in lockstep on this. AC pushed for the bail reform earlier this year. It’s part of their agenda. -
Wear a mask if you want to. If you don’t want to, then don’t . If they advise wearing masks, no one will be able to find them anyway. We still have morons hoarding toilet paper and disinfecting wipes.

Agreed. I’m fine with the Federal response here ; perhaps states with hotspots could have been on it faster. None seemed prepared with supplies to deal with this. It’s an outside problem that got here eventually. -

They’re both morons. DeBlasio wants prison cells to have kitchenettes and individual A/C ( not making it up) and Cuomo released 1200 “ non violent “ inmates last Friday night including some sex offenders. Two horrendous individuals. -
They just cannot be trusted. A global crisis and unscrupulous Chinese companies looking to capitalize.

I don’t see it that way, but hey suit yourself. -

The vulnerable can isolate. There are things that can be done. Not “ ok “ with any virus killing people but it happens . The economy won’t magically bounce back in short order whenever it opens back up. The longer it’s closed down, the worse it will be. It’s not a great choice here, but that’s where we are. It’s a war. In past wars , the few ( still a lot) made the ultimate sacrifice for the good of the many. Now, there’s a mentality that most should sacrifice all for the good of the few. I just cannot agree with that. -

No, I wouldn’t describe myself that way at all. However, it’s not the most important issue to me. I’ve voted for Reagan, George HW Bush, Clinton twice. (Bill) .Did not vote for Obama or Hillary. The social issues haven’t been such a big deal for me personally. I think the left has gotten out of control since the millennium. -

It won’t be nearly the same. For most people that will not be a good thing at all. -

Again, this virus doesn’t kill everyone that gets it. Not even close. The economy may not recover anytime soon as it is. Locking down since January would have been a complete catastrophe. Any speculation on what could have been done is simply speculation. We are a free country and what you are describing is unrealistic in America. -

There won’t be an economy for the healthy, that will be the disaster. -
The Next Pandemic: SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19
Boatdrinks replied to 1B4IDye's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Everyone won’t die from this virus. Not even close. Many will have mild to no symptoms. That’s not the issue. It’s lack of resources to care for those who need it because it’s so contagious. This virus on its own isn’t a death sentence. -

Nonsense ! Ruffle the economy’s feathers? More like put it on life support with a failing ventilator. It still may end up too far gone. Shutting it down then would only worsen the damage. -

Weren’t enough tests to do this; heck there still aren’t enough now. So easy to say this or that should have been done. Nowhere in the world has a medical system designed to handle this. It simply doesn’t exist. -

Sure it helped. If any ball was dropped , it was dropped at the State level. -

Trump restricted travel from China just 4 days after Italy completely banned it on Jan 31. What is this 6 weeks you’re referring to? Btw, the ban doesn’t seem to have been effective for Italy either. Your Monday QBing is pure speculation and without significant merit. -

This is fantasy. Nothing to support this. Just what do you think could be done? -

The gains under Trump were great, but they’ve been wiped out by a virus . There is nothing the POTUS or any other human ( save for someone in the Wuhan that craved a batburger for lunch ) could have done to stop it. -
Democratic 2020 Presidential Primary Thread
Boatdrinks replied to snafu's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Agree. And also on the retort to desolate. The middle of America is less populated for sure, but full of resplendent beauty and the absence of throngs can provide a wonderful solace. Nothing dismal about it. Desolate is way off base for sure. -
14 teams in the Playoffs confirmed. Are we a lock?
Boatdrinks replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Nope, not a lock. The roster says the Bills should be a playoff team, but as fans we know that doesn’t mean much. I don’t think this change to the format will be a hindrance to the Bills chances , but there are still things that can go wrong. -

Maybe I’ve just got a bad case of cabin fever, but doesn’t it seem like they’ve ( State, Fed, County) been saying “ the next two to three weeks are critical “ for about two full weeks now ?
