Wildcard and divisional round gets 28k per player ( 31k for division winners). It’s about the weekly game check for a first year player on a 3 year minimum deal. Just a little kickin around money for these guys.

Allen slammed on ESPN
Boatdrinks replied to Giuseppe Tognarelli's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Like no good QB has never taken a bad sack before or tried to do a little too much. Jackson in last year’s playoff game maybe? If Josh Allen was LaMario Allen they’d be showering him with compliments for being a gamer. A real bunch of dill holes on that station. -
Is Tre White worth top corner money?
Boatdrinks replied to DuckyBoys's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yep I meant Norman lol Different front office. That was a Whaley move, and he continued the organizational philosophy at the time, fwiw. It had been that way with Bills CBs for years. -
Is Tre White worth top corner money?

Just referring to a few years back when Josh Norman lol hit free agency. There was talk about him not being worth the $$ because he was primarily a zone corner. Anyway, I think Tre is a much better player than Norman -
Is Josh really getting the coaching he needs?
Boatdrinks replied to Stallions's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Josh will be fine. He had a few wild moments, but didn’t “ melt down” and didn’t cost the team the game. The 2nd half strategy was bizarre , and he made some mistakes. Heck, Darnold played at USC and “ saw ghosts”. No one’s ragging on him anymore for that, and they give him a huge pass because he had mono. JA is still a bit raw, and the coaches hung him out to dry with that lead. -
Lack of offensive personnel. It probably shouldn’t have been DiMarco, and you can argue for him not even being on the field at that point. Remember that McDs original FA target was Jusczyk, and he chose to go to SF? That guy makes plays, and perhaps McD should have ditched his plan for a FB on the roster when that deal fell through. DiMarco has done next to nothing in his time with the Bills.

Is Tre White worth top corner money?

Not a Josh Gordon situation here, or even a Gilmore situation for that matter. White will be retained. The previous regime clearly had a philosophy about not paying CBs a second contract, but those days are gone now. -

Bills officially have pick 22 in the 1st round
Boatdrinks replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Could see a move u for an elite talent at WR. The draft will be difficult to project without knowing what transpires in free agency. The Bills have the cap set up to make some bold moves. Offense needs to be the focal point. -
Super Bowl QB's: How Hard It Truly Is
Boatdrinks replied to Like A Mofo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There is truth in this. Tom Brady, the Cheats and a complicit NFL have ruined football for a new generation of fans, and ruined the last 20 years of football for everyone else. This kind of thing just never happens, folks! There have been previous dynasties in the NFL, but if they lasted 10 years it was a stretch and there was no free agency. NE has been one tremendous outlier in the entire existence of pro football. It’s not happening again, ever. Soon things will take a turn back toward normal, but it will take years for the mentality of fans to change. Longtime observers of the NFL will gladly accept the re-set to pre 2001 NFL football and dynamics around the league. Have to be realistic with QBs, and what it will take to reach a Super Bowl game going forward in the post Pats* era that will soon be upon us. -
Need a FA WR and TE. Knox needs more development and his hands have been unreliable. It will be year 3 for Josh. Can’t be wondering if he’s good enough and just did t have the weapons around hm. Beane needs to deliver this offseason.

which of these 3 cost the Bills more
Boatdrinks replied to dbfla10's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
3 of the biggest plays of the game for sure, but the one that likely leads to the winning points has got to be it. The missed block on the QB sweep in OT is the winner. -
Tua declares for the draft; do you want Miami to take him?
Boatdrinks replied to krf139's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Don’t care. There’s absolutely no guarantee that he’s any better than other QBs in the division,AFC or even any good at all. Not sold on him. Other teams are going to do what they do, so not worth worrying about. -
What % did Josh improve from yr1 to yr2?
Boatdrinks replied to whatdrought's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Overall 25-30%. Huge, but not quite enough to say definitively whether he’s a franchise QB or not. Biggest issues are vs blitz, deep ball accuracy and ball security/ taking sacks. He can possibly improve these things, but the jury is out. -
Titans beat Patriots 14 -13 because of the D
Boatdrinks replied to tumaro02's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It’s simple really. It IS a team game. The offense scores what they are able vs the Pats defense. Whatever that number is, it dictates the job required of the defense. This number will vary from game to game. The defense is then charged with stopping the Pats offense enough times to keep them below that number. The Titans defense accomplished this, the Bills did not. When the Bills needed a stop, they couldn’t get it. The Titans offense was clinging to a one point lead. However , they managed the clock well and left the Pats* with minimal time. It was enough time to get into FG range ( barely ) but only with a couple of big passing plays. They ended any chance with an INT for a TD. NFL games are different every week and matchups change from team to team, but the concept remains the same. The offense can speed up or slow down to vary tempo, keep matchups on the field and burn clock. They can nurse a big lead or rally for a quick score; they dictate the tempo. The defense can not do this. Their only job is to stop the opponent. So credit the Titans defense. They only had a 13 point margin of error all game to achieve victory, and they accomplished their mission. For all the accolades given to the Bills defense this season, they absolutely failed in their biggest tests vs New England and Houston. -
While I wanted a Bills win in the worst way, the game did sum up the team’s offensive issues. Maybe a win would have given McD, Beane et al a false sense of security. There is much work to be done still, and the vast majority of effort and $$ must go to surround Allen with offensive skill players. The line must also be addressed if they want to achieve championship caliber. Hugely important offseason coming up.

Need a FA WR too, though. Draft pick will take a little while to contribute. I like the TE thought and absolutely agree. Knox may develop, but a good FA will help in a big way. Josh needs immediate help to get a clear evaluation in his critical 3rd year. Decisions loom after that. A WR trade could materialize. Beane has pursued this road before, and maybe this time it gets done.

I believe the other wildcard games do matter, because we are talking about the playoff field rather than the at-large NFL . Matchups are closer than most in the regular season. So yes, how did the Bills performance stack up relative to the field? It has relevance, and it’s an interesting look as regular season numbers can be inflated by many factors. How do teams do in a win or go home situation vs a good opponent ? It’s not all telling, but it’s interesting nonetheless.
