I hope they draft the punter from Utah
-
Foster finished better as the season went on. That has never been suggested as a problem for Brown. You want to free up the long passing game? You give the QB protection, you give him a running game to bring safeties up so you can go play action behind them. Give him some underneath options so guys can't just drop deep to defend. You want guys that just run downfield. We have 2 or 3 already.

SI's Benoit: Oliver pick gets a C

His take makes little sense. Yeah we can still use an edge guy but did he realize Kyle retired? -
The WR class was apparently not highly thought of by GMs this year given where they were drafted. And folks around here need to calm down and realize Beane has a much better handle on these guys that any of us. They are focused on protecting Allen first and foremost. Then you have two guys in Foster and Brown with speed, underneath guys in Beasley and Jones, some TEs and RBs that can catch. But people yell about a #1 WR; as overused a term as franchise QB or lockdownCB.

Thought they'd go WR but the kid was productive in college -
You kidding? Great deep threat. He can fly.

I think if I'm any O lineman from last year I'm not signing any long term rental agreements.

Solid pick. What did we give up to move up two spots?

The Deep State War Heats Up

Elect an entire Executive and Legislative branch that are avowed Independents. Then open up investigations into any and all suspected collusions involving Trump, Clinton, Obama, Cheney, whomoever. If after that nothing is found then drop it, and if people are found to have conducted illegal activities throw their butt in jail regardless of political affiliation. It's the only way folks in the deep state and anti-deep state worlds will ever be satisfied. And even then nut cases of the fringes of either extreme won't be, but they can at least be set off to the side and recognized as nut cases. -

You try to get stars in round 1. This kid could be one. Good job, and thanks to the Raiders for continuing their tradition of screwing things up. -

I like the idea of drafting the punter. -
Ahem. First Pat McGroder was instrumental working with Ralph to bring professional football to Buffalo, and keeping the team in Buffalo. He merits the Wall. Second, if memory serves correct the frivolous accident caused injury to a young woman. And that was in addition to the other off the field issues he had. Third, he was not shipped out, he and his agent requested a trade after Spiller was drafted. Other than that your analysis is spot on.

Actually it does mean we have a higher level of knowledge. Two other things. One, to say Lynch had greater impact than Cookie is just silly. Second, you claimed you would not put Henry on the Wall because of off the field stuff but you'd put Lynch up there? That kind of hypocrisy is, well, silly yet again.

A question for you. Were you around in the 60's to watch Cookie, Brown and the others? If not perhaps you should not comment on Cookie. He was as some have said just below Brown. He was a combination of speed and power. I would compare him to Jimmy Taylor. He belongs on the Wall. He was a great player who helped us win a championship. A head case to be sure but a dominating player. Lynch? Not a chance. Your throwing numbers out there saying they're comparable ignores all the rule changes over the years. And Lynch was one step away from a year suspension.
