  1. Long could shift to center, as could Feliciano.
  2. A reasonable point to argue, but the only thing that truly matters is the current HC and GM felt it was needed. So they did it, got to the playoffs in one of their two years, now have what they hope is a franchise QB and some essential pieces on D, and a lot of cap space. When people talk struggle I honestly can't understand how they define the word. Every single person on the board expects improvement. The question is to what extremes that issue is debated.
  3. I would refer you to the quote I posted above with respect to Allen. It assumes failure. And here you go. Two years ago they were in the playoffs, and last year broke in a rookie QB. How exactly is making the playoffs one out of two times struggling?
  4. Absolutely. Why some assume failure is the question, equally so of ones who think they're no doubt SuperBowl winners.
  5. The following are your exact words from earlier in this thread regarding Allen: Everyone who has ever failed at something new had never done it before. Your words, not mine. And one could just as easily say everyone who has succeeded at something new has never done it before. Your shtick is obvious and juvenile at this point.
  6. No he really hasn't. Not that I've seen. I wish your posts would show more if your hope and less of your pessimism.
  7. I have many times said onbthis board if their current regimes plan does not work they'll get fired. But also that if it does work they'll be heros. I think that's objective. If you go back through I believe he may be in the they lucked out camp. SoTier is especially heinous about that.
  8. Among others when a few pages back he talks about when you are new like Allen you have to learn to be a bust or words to that effect.
  9. Why do you and others constantly spin things in a negative direction?
  10. They made the playoffs in the first year of the new HC and GM. But you spin it as a negative. Wallow in your misery
  11. 1. First AFL championship game 2. 1974 season opener Monday night Raiders game 3. Beating the Raiders to go to SuperBowl 1. 4. Season opener 1980, finally squishing the Fish. 5. Monday night game against KC watching OJ go over 1000 half way through the season
  12. Why do all your hypotheticals assume the worst?
  13. And if they're in the playoffs each year they're heros. Why do you want them to fail?
  14. O'Brien has an overinflated opinion of himself
  15. I quoted McD above about them getting what they wanted.
  16. Under. I think the kid will be really good but under
  17. From the head coach: When you look at the position he plays, and you’ve heard me say this before, it’s the most unselfish position on the football field, the defensive tackle position, in particular the one-technique, which is typically where he plays,” McDermott said. “A lot of the time he frees up, the way the game works is he frees up the linebackers to make plays by absorbing and taking on double teams and what not. I thought our run defense inside, which is where Star works, was mostly solid [Sunday]. Outside, we could’ve done some things better but inside, I think for the most part he played a solid game.”
  18. I wish Sammy was still here. But Dareus? No thanks.
  19. You're not implying any of them were pivotal to their teams being the championship game are you?
  20. Hope these allegations are false. But as long as O'Brien is calling the shots in Houston they won't be a factor. He thinks he's Belichick and he's far from it.
  21. I'm not. I wouldn't be mad if Dareus had it either. They need a space eater in the middle of the D line. Dareus was a slacker though. Star does his job as unglamorous as it is.
  22. If Beane or McD says it's white our friend here says it's black. Dareus was a slacker and is not better than Star. He would be if he wanted to actually use his talent. And I wish Sammyvwas still here, although injuries have prevented him from doing that well.
  23. And if they hadn't you'd complain that they didn't.
