  1. Agree
  2. I think they like Jackson and Lewis, and they'll draft a CB with one of their first two picks.
  3. Haslem and his wife are going to get crucified at the next owner’s meeting.
  4. 1964 and 1965 Buffalo Bills
  5. Byrd was a great CB. Definitely deserves the Wall.
  6. The Fed will get more aggressive easing rates and such to try and help. But other inflated costs like gas are very multi factorial; can’t expect government to wave a magic wand and have everything the way you want.
  7. Yep. Happens when societies come out of situations like wars or pandemics. People don’t spend during them, and afterward you have pent up demand for goods that is greater than supply. Thus inflation.
  8. I don't necessarily think Schefter was wrong in that Haskins was struggling to stay on, but he should really have thought about those words before putting them out there. They served no purpose. And Peter King this morning rightfully took Gil Brandt to task. What he said was inexcusable, and it was inexcusable of the directors and/or producers of that show and/or his partner to not cut his mike immediately and issue an apology. Brandt is old I get that, but you simply cannot allow him to do what he did. Perhaps it's time for him to call it a career.
  9. From the perspective of one who sat in the Rockpile as a 4 year old for the first game in 1960: 1. AFL championship game 1964. The Stratton hit. 2. The comeback game against the Oilers. 3. AFL championship game 1965 4. Season opener 1980 finally squished the Fish. 5 (tie): First AFC championship 51-3 against the Raiders; 1974 Monday Night season opener against the Raiders.
  10. How sad. Hate to see young people lost way before their time.
  11. My first faculty position was at the med school in Augusta. Lived in the subdivision across Washington Road and drove by the entrance every day on the way to work. You really cannot fully appreciate the course unless you see it live. The elevation changes and the green contours are so much more than what TV can show.
  12. Yes he’s fine. It is a difficult job and not one person does it perfectly. Greg Gumble hit the nail on the head.
  13. As a general rule there are far too many people critical of show hosts and announcers and commentators and such. Adams is just fine. So are people like Collinsworth.
  14. I helped carry them to Ralph’s box.
  15. Any guys in the draft named Vito?
  16. And that’s the way it goes. It’s not as if WNY taxes have paid for tons of downstate projects over the years.
  17. If you want to be a major league town it’s the price you pay. And no governor was ever going to let the only NFL team that actually plays in the state leave.
  18. He should have been in jail years ago
  19. The Stratton hit heard round the world. And his “ohhhhhhh” would have lasted at least 5 minutes.
  20. Great news!! I don’t know how the hell they’re doing this, but well done!
  21. I messed up. I was thinking 1974 and just realized they had the 1980 game. My bad!
  22. Fantastic news for WNY and all Bills fans! I was 4 years old at the first ever game in the Rockpile, made it to my seat in 1973 for the first ever game at Rich Stadium just before kickoff (which off course Mul-Key returns for a TD), and will God willing be there for the first ever game in the new stadium. My grandchildren (if I have any) will be able to maintain the tradition of being Bills fans going to the games in Buffalo!!
  23. It was the season opener after OJ's 2000 yard season. OJ held out but re-signed just before the game. The opening Monday night game of the year against the Raiders. OJ sprians his ankle and is out the second half. Fergy hits Rashad to go ahead 14-13 with just under 2 minutes to play, we hold and get the ball back, but the Jim Braxton fumbles and Art Thoms recovers and runs it back to score, so now we're down 20-14. We get the ball back, Fergy (then a second year pro who spent his entire rookie year handing off to OJ), starts throwing the ball and marches us down the field. With 26 seconds left he hits Rashad for the score to put us up 21-20, and they then take the kickoff and get Blanda set up for a long FG to win it with 6 seconds left. And he misses! Most exciting last two minutes of football I've ever seen.
  24. Best football game I've ever seen live. And I was there for Stratton's Hit.
