  1. You mean like all the folks anointing the guy already? Works both ways.
  2. I wouldn't spend those "extra bucks" just yet. Tix for NE @ Buff were going for under $30 on gameday last year.
  3. I'm in 'wait and see' mode, for all things Pegulaville. Bills, Sabres, draft picks, GM search, coaches...wait and see. I don't buy the hype at all anymore. Don't care how this guy or that guy might "seem". Get on the field in September and show me.
  4. Yeah, I was surprised at how quickly I got through, and by how many were still available for the opener. Those were gone day one last year.
  5. just snagged extras for the opener and raiders. Pegulaville getting pricey, careful what you wish for re: new building.
  6. Kryk was saying those secure in their jobs continued to work, while those who weren't secure got some extra fam time. Those with secure positions represent a focused, successful organization. Those playing on the lawn represent a dysfunctional, confused, disorganized mess. It's really not that hard to decipher.
  7. So are you stubborn, or do you fall into the 'sucker for hope' category? I'm honestly neither, the tailgate crew and the sunday ritual keep me paying for a season ticket every year. Is it more fun if/when the good guys win? Of course it is. But I don't emotionally attach myself either way anymore. It's sheer entertainment value. That's it. I think it's like that for a lot of people. I certainly don't define myself based on a football team, or let something so silly affect my emotions. I mostly want the Bills, and the Sabres for that matter, to do well for the community at large. It's a lot of fun in WNY when the teams are winning. At least I think that's how I remember it.
  8. Fireball shots? What is this, amateur hour?? 3 and 4 though, quite likely. Wings will make their appearance at 'fryer week', which is yet tbd on the tailgate schedule. We usually save it for when the 'casuals' stop showing up, about week 6ish.
  9. Is he, though? We are a built-in audience. Does anyone buy tickets because of a slogan, or a giveaway or based on who's "leading the charge", or any such nonsense? No, we go because it's a cheap party, a day out with fam and friends. Oh, and there's a football game at 1:00.
  10. Sure, you could say that. And I will add that all predictions made in May are generally nonsense. Now if you correctly predict what my tailgate menu is for week one, you can come by and eat and drink all you want
  11. Good read. The part about good ol' Rusty B. at the end really illustrates how bulletproof this guy is.
  12. I usually say 6-10 every year, but rookie HC factors in at a -1. Check the math, and 5-11 it is. Now, the important stuff...what are we eating week 1 tailgate?
  13. I wouldn't say I'm actively boycotting the Sabres, but I haven't bought tix in a few seasons, and I probably won't go at all next season either. So boring, such a bland product. The Bills are a bland product too, but there's only 8 home games, and the festivities are always a good time.
  14. Yep. This is all kinda hilarious. I think DW had to go, but the timing is screwy. No worries, just give it two years til the next round of firings.
  15. My sentiments exactly. Prob the way the front office is thinking as well.
  16. Eh, I think Sal is decent at breaking down plays and schemes etc. Not saying he's a fortune teller with inside scoop. He also gets a little too 'cheer-squad' sometimes.
