  1. I would agree, but I would also point out the affects aren't as noticeable as they were in the 90's. A lot of people are resigned to the "meh", we've been collectively worn down by almost two decades of bad football. It will ramp up again if/when we become a winner. But I do enjoy talking Bills with little old ladies in the supermarket when they notice my bills hat or tee, just one example of how the community does still love our Bills.
  2. Yeah I moreso cherish that time in my life, the Bills were a great backstory from 6th grade through freshman year of college. What a great time period in a young man's life to have your favorite team be great. I don't even want them to be good for myself anymore, I want it for my younger cousins nieces and nephews. I want them to experience the community and the vibe all around. Those 90's Bills really brought the area together.
  3. Never indulged myself, but is there not a Doug Flutie cameo in this movie? Whoops shoulda read the wiki, Flutie plays himself. Fascinating.
  4. Yeah, it makes me wonder if those teams never happened would the franchise even be here anymore? Not a big fan of 'what ifs', but it's an interesting thought.
  5. They have an AFC East window, 30 mins before the game, til anytime before halftime. Show up after halftime and you only get to score once.
  6. Can we take bets on how they milk nostalgia this season? Last season it was Bruce's number, I'll go with retiring '34' this season.
  7. It's losing its appeal all the way from Niagara County as well
  8. Hey, you asked. I want the FO to be bold and forward thinking. Not saying trade everyone, just saying they should always be listening and if the price is right you make the move to benefit the future.
  9. Aging, nagging hammy issues, maybe a year or two left of "prime". What can we get for him?
  10. Sure am. It's about time the org grew some stones. Because the status quo has reaped exactly what for this franchise?
  11. For a second rounder next year? Pull that trigger til the gun goes *click*. Bold move AND clearing out remnants of the past regime? Love it.
  12. Yeah, no preseason or TO "home" games in my count. I absolutely refused to support that farce, and I love that it flopped right in Rogers' & Co. smug faces. So I currently sit at 92 consecutive 'real' home games. Proud or ashamed? Not sure....
  13. This will be 15 seasons for my group. Started with around 20 guys in 2003, we are down to 5. As for age, I'll turn 42 mid-season. If I make all 8 home games this year it will be 100 in a row. Haven't missed a home game in person since 2004.

  15. Hey DPG, miss our back-and-forths on this subject from the old board. We had some good info compiled for sure.
  16. Agree. We are taxed enough in NYS/WNY. No subsidies for the billionaire's club. There is no economic benefit for the community, it's been proven over and over. As for the area's "psyche" if the team goes, well, life will go on. Sure I want them to stay, but not via holding the community hostage.
  17. Same boat, friend. Exact same. When my crew started we were all in our mid-twenties. Now we are all 40. Mortgages, wives, children(not me though, dogs only!), day jobs. Blech. We couldn't get out of that stadium fast enough most games last season. Most of my group is out once we get a new building. All yours, fella.
  18. Yes, but only for the fellas and the ritual. Didn't appreciate strong-arm tactics from the tix office this year, a "final notice" in the snail-mail was a bit off putting.
  19. Yep. I don't buy any hype anymore. Only time will tell.

  22. Yeah yeah, sure sure. Show me the baby.
