there's a certain level of microanalysis with the staff that's a bit over the top. i want this staff to try to do whatever they can to improve this team. if they don't work out, and they don't hurt the future of the team...so be it. some posters are just looking to be angry. one guy was still bitching about how they traded for coleman the other day. who cares? edit: not picking on taskersghost who you quoted.

god...now i'm wondering if i went to my parents, if i could find it. i should start displaying those things all over my office. let's face it. none of this is a problem. as others have mentioned, how the parents handle it is the problem. show me one kid that got messed up by a participation trophy.

those things are so cheap, that they can barely stay together while sitting on a shelf. at that age i don't think they had a speech. i think we had pizza, had our names called, and went home.

let me move this question a bit...if your kid received a participation trophy, would you take it away?

sure. why not. it let's kids know they were part of a team and followed through with a season. it's for small kids. when the game gets competitive, then no, but it could be a first "accomplishment" they carry through with. i have a 3 and a half year old daughter that was given a medal because she finished gymnastics. she was so pumped about it she showed everyone. what kind of person would want to take that away. we got them in pop warner football as kids. no one cared, nor did they give anyone a false sense of accomplishment. people make way too much over this nonsense.

i'd prefer the stadium, but it's not realistic that i can go on the regular. at this point in my life, i'm bothered too much when i try to watch a game at home.

i'm ready. i'm ready to the point where i've almost lost interest.

I was being kind when I said meh to Dave. I’d turn the channel as fast as I would for them as the Eagles. Again, I do think they’re talented, but their music makes we want to hit my wife.
