  1. i think RIT here has a similar program. after a certain age, you're allowed to aduit classes for free. it's a great idea.
  2. why in god's name would i turn up the setting in the freezer?! there's only three people in my house physically capable of it at this point...myself, my wife and my daughter. my son can't even walk yet. on top of that, my daughter is into getting herself ice for her water. i know that ***** saw the dial and started to mess with it. on top of that, she told my wife that she did it, and said she was just kidding. where there's smoke...there's fire. that service guy must of thought we were the biggest ****heads.
  3. seriously. i get racism is a problem, but has anyone had to fix a pool heater?
  4. when it comes to my pool heater and feelings...yeah...i'm hurt. the more i think about this, the more i realize that we should start a thread for my pool heater.
  5. no. only ***** out of cans by the pool. i don't want bits of glass floating around in that *****.
  6. when it's on, my pool heater is leaking underground and going into my basement, so i have that going for me.
  7. i certainly have fewer friends. i still keep in touch with a few very close friends from high school. there's a group of about 10 more that meet for dinner every few months, but no weekend hangs. after going away to college and grad school, many of my friends don't live in this area, so we tend to grow apart. like many others, i think i'm good with the limited number at this point in life.
  8. look what you started... i hit that in a couple of months. ***** weather, high taxes...i'm living the life!
  9. i'm going to work a half day tomorrow then i'm done for the week.
  10. i don't recall it if i was! hell, i got bent out of shape when a poster implied that lite beer was a wny thing.
  11. i am learning so much in this thread. i don't really need to know any of it, but learning is happening.
  12. i'd get angry if i paid that much for a martini. even in rochester i have to pay $15 for a good mixed drink, and that annoys me. $18 for a beer? i don't think i can mentally do it.
  13. now he's crazy as the joker! check out the trailer. sorry to all for getting this thing so off course.
  14. apparently drinking lite beer is limited to either wnyers, americans, or the older crowd. he does fall into one of those categories.
  15. well that makes more sense. if i'm only having a beer or two, i'd go the good beer route as well.
  16. he doesn't understand. two different types of beer for two different types of occasions.
  17. you'll get to with the new joaquin phoenix one coming out.
  18. i don't mind yuengling, but i've had more than enough of it in my lifetime. love hefeweizen beer though. the ommegang brewery in cooperstown makes a great one. thank you.
  19. so you're having trouble understanding that some people have different tastes than you? again, and i don't know why this is so hard, it's not an older generation or american thing...at all. i don't drink lite beer for the sake of drinking more of them. if i go over a couple of beers, the craft beers make me feel gross quickly. that may not happen to most, but that's why i drink it. also as i mentioned, i'll often times start with a good beer or two, and move onto lite after that. i...i don't know how to go any further with this. we get it. you're too good for lite beer.
  20. so if you were at a party, and the only beer was lite, you wouldn't drink it? people are acting like it taste like acid. it's just a lighter, more watered down beer. the taste isn't bad...it's just super mild. now i'm just picturing a bunch of sweaty guys sitting around drinking stouts on a 90 degree day.
  21. it might confuse him. he's since gone from lite beer being a wny thing, to maybe it's an american thing, to now it's age group thing, (in another thread on this very topic). it's like he just can't imagine some people are willing to drink lite beer. guess what? it happens!
  22. i'm jumping between the two threads, so sorry if i'm repeating myself. it's not an american thing at all. you just see what's going on around you immediately, and are assuming that's how it is for everyone. first you think it's a wny thing, now you're assuming it's an american thing, sprinkled in with an age limitation. how about the idea that people like different beer for different occasions?
  23. i think you need to get out more bud. light beer is everywhere. there may not be the saturation of it in other countries like it is here, but it's not like it's limited to a region. all of this is strange. are you going out of your way to let us know that you refuse to drink light beer? cool. how many high end beers do you drink during a game day on average would you say?
