  1. oh i fixed it in my post. isn't that a strange way to compare him to mcd, or is that just me?
  2. well...no.
  3. that's essentially what this is, and so be it. I just don't know why anyone is pumping Harbaugh to that extent. i think he's a solid coach, but i'm not the least bit nervous if he lands in miami. exactly. what a weird flex. and was SF really in that bad of a shape? I honestly don't know, but i do know that changing the culture in buffalo was far harder than it would be for SF. if someone is trying that hard to put the guy on a pedestal, maybe he's just not worth doing that for.
  4. i suppose what's the difference then? there's a number of posters who want mcd gone under the though that he won't be able to win the big game. what has harbaugh won? he doesn't have the upper hand like you're making it out to be. you went way out of the way to mention that he turned around a SF team that was bad for 9 years. our bills were awful for 17 before mcd turned them around.
  5. sure. it should be a fun game. i'm as about as excited as i can get for any super bowl without the bills in it.
  6. kc just blew it?
  7. Good for him. This is a huge step.
  8. Some people are just whiny *****. Time has passed, it’s a game, get the ***** over it already. Some posters need to realize more self worth in their own lives. Those who can’t come in here to complain constantly. I’m not talking posters who are venting…I’m talking about the one who will never let it go. let it go.
  9. this is rather incredible.
  10. this makes a lot of sense. we took one out HELOC when we bought our most recent house to avoid a jumbo loan and keep the rates low. i want to say ours was a fixed rate, but i don't remember the terms because we paid it off quickly. it was always explained to me that it was just good to have one if the need ever arises. i'm in the paying off debt portion of my life, so unless our kitchen costs more than i want it to, no more loans. we're in the process of refinancing our mortgage to a 10 year to take advantage of the rates now, (which are going up apparently). is this a loan shark type situation?
  11. how long do you have to pay it back?
  12. the 401 k loan may be the way to go. i want to say one of my assistants borrowed off of it recently, and it went smoothly. i don't remember the stipulations though. i may be a max amount like 40k, or it may be a percentage of the total amount. as you said there's no penalty to take out, and no interest, but i think there's a 5 year term to pay back. i don't remember the specifics, but it sounded like a good deal. i'm meeting with my financial guy in 2 days, so i'll get clarification. home equity lines are nice to have if you ever need them. i assume it would be a fix rate based on the times and a personal financial statement. i'd probably go with no interest if i could.
  13. you son of a B word...
  14. oh yeah. when i really want to lay into someone, i give money to a charity they support. i love to see the pain in their eyes after.
  15. i'm certainly not telling anyone not to be upset...how could someone not be, but i'm not crying over the bills. enough. this team will be in the running for the sb for years to come. not every year is going to end in a trophy, and people need to come to terms with this. as long as this team is strong enough to continually compete for one, we're in good shape.
  16. no. i'm at the point in my life where i'll cry if a close family member passes, one of my animals die, or if the bills if the bills win the sb. as awful as a loss it was, i'm not crying over another tragic ***** loss. it's a game. people need to get this out of their system, and move on with their lives already.
  17. if nothing else we know that last year was absolutely not a fluke year for allen, and he's worth every penny he makes. i understand the sting of the loss, but this team will be just fine going forward. they'll compete for the sb every year. we need to be patient and understand that every year will be a new opportunity.
  18. Just saw a story in the news where they interviewed a few people that did go. Not a looker in the bunch.
  19. I just assume it’s all posturing…for now.
  20. i'd buy him a robot dog to keep him company.
