  1. Good for Jennings. It sounds like he really busted his ass and took advantage of that internship opportunity. Hope he does well and earns a promotion higher up the Bills scouting ranks.
  2. I finally bought a copy of the original Destiny last year, just to see what all the hype was about. It was ok, but I couldn't really get too far playing solo. So I quit playing and haven't played since. lol I could see how it would be cool to play online and/or with friends though. I'm just not an online gamer.
  3. This is Chuck-e-Cheese we are talking about, right? lol Crazy.
  4. Crazy that Toronto has better odds than the Penguins (2 Cups in the last 3 years) and Washington. And even Nashville. Especially with Toronto losing JVR (who had 36 goals for them this year) and Bozak. That's about 100pts leaving their lineup. They have a lot of cap space, so they very well could replace both those players in free agency. But still, until you see what they do in FA it's hard to say that they will definitely be a better team than last year.
  5. Jarvis Landry with some praise for TT (while throwing Cutler/Tannehill under a bus...) - http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000936293/article/jarvis-landry-browns-qbs-a-lot-better-than-miamis
  6. This is true. Plus they are not standard employees like many regular Americans (especially those not part of a union). They are contracted and part of a union, and there are specific terms to the contracts they sign. Standing for the anthem wasn't in those terms (as far as I'm aware) or in the NFL's policies either. It is now, but it wasn't when all of this started. They all work for different owners, too, who all have differing policies. If the team owner (in this case Terry & Kim Pegula) was ok with them kneeling (like the Pegulas were), then who are we to say it's not ok for them to do at work? And thats the other big difference - us normal workers are not asked/mandated to stand for the pledge once a week, while it's broadcast on national TV for millions of viewers. We are not looked up to (as role models or otherwise) by 1000's and 1000's of fans, young and old. We don't have a platform to protest at work like these athletes do, to try and get our message out. Union Protests do happen in workplaces too, though, albeit under a bit different circumstances... lol.
  7. It's cool to think about the the Pats dynasty finally starting to crumble. But right now all this talk is meaningless to me until it has an actual negative impact on the field. Until then, I'll just continue to assume that they'll be the usual juggernaut that they are. I do think this time possibly seems different too. But it's not the first time we've read about the start of the Patriots downfall. So I won't hold my breath. My real hope is that the Bills become such a good team we no longer worry about what the Pats are doing... lol.
  8. Glad to hear that he seems to hopefully be doing better. Good luck Richie! Best wishes from this Bills fan.
  9. All you usually have to do is add something like - IMO (in my opinion) - and that won't happen (nearly as much, anyway). I don't know what posts you are referring to. But I think it's all in the way you say things. Like, for example, when you say things like "Mahomes is the better prospect", it looks like a definitive statement and people will be likely to question things like that. If you add that "IMO" it changes the whole statement. Then people clearly know it's only your opinion. Anyway... lol.
  10. But IMO it wasn't truly continuity because Rex ran some "half pregnant" version of his & Schwartz's defense year 1. He didn't fully install his own defense until year 2 when he brought his brother in (who was said to have made a lot of changes to the defensive scheme and play calls). I remember players talking about trying to learn the defensive scheme in year 2, and even remember (a) guy(s) in training camp saying it was almost like installing a new defense at times. So it wasnt technically what I'd call continuity... (at least IMO). Not like this year, anyway. This is basically the first time since 2010-2011 that the Bills (defensive) players have actually had the same DC and defensive scheme for 2 years in a row. The Bills have been in constant upheaval for so long. I really hope !cDermott and his staff can put an end to that.
  11. What I miss the most from the Buffalo News is all of those inside access/behind the scenes stories they used to write. I dont know what exactly happened, or why they stopped. That was info that you couldn't get anywhere else. It made the Buffalo News sports section (at the time) a "Must Read" for me. If TBN not writing as many inside access stories was due to their reporters having bad relationships with Pegula (It wasn't too long after Pegula bought the Sabres that you heard rumors of a fallout between them and TBN, and shortly after that it seemed like many of those behind the scenes, inside access pieces started drying up), I really hope bringing in new blood opens that door up again.
  12. I was wondering the same thing...
  13. There are only a select handful of game titles/series I will pre-order/buy brand new. This is one of them! Thanks for sharing Shady. Hopefully the release date isn't too far off (I read possibly fall). Same here. I feel like too too many games are going in that direction - shorten campaign modes and more multiplayer online content. It sucks for me me because I don't really play online much. It's just not for me. I don't like all the people who run around and just try to purposely aggravate you. I like the open world, long single player campaign type games.
  14. Agreed. I used to really love reading the behind the scenes/inside info pieces the Buffalo News would write. It was a little while after Pegula bought the Sabres that those types of pieces just started drying up. There were lots of rumors about a falling out between TBN and the Pegulas (I believe due to the constant litany of negative pieces). Once in a while I will see an inside access piece by Vic Carucci, or maybe John Vogl (who is now leaving...). But they are very very few and far between. So there's not much point in paying to read generic pieces that I can also find in 10 other places for free. Maybe bringing in some new blood will change this? I hope so. I miss the inside access stuff.
  15. The people I mentioned were ordering them from some internet site. I have no idea if shroom tech can have any of the same effects as whatever nootropics the people i mentioned we're taking, though. The people i mentioned were not taking them as workout supplements or anything. They were taking other nootropics that are supposed to be meant for improving brain function and numerous other things (energy, anxiety, mood etc).
  16. They are a workout supplement. But they are also considered a "nootropic" drug, or "smart drug" to improve cognitive function. I know of (and know) people who took numerous different nootropic supplements and had bad reactions. A friend of a friend was pretty out of his mind for a while on some of those nootropic supplements (I can't remember the names of the ones he was taking, it wasn't shroom tech though). They can do some really weird things I guess. It wouldn't surprise me at all if that was part of Richie's problem.

  18. Since we are talking about PlayStation, you've gotta mention some of their exclusive titles... -> Horizon Zero Dawn - one of the best games I've ever played. Highly recommend checking it out. This game was one of the main reasons I bought a PS4 when I already had an Xbox One. -> Nier:Automata - another great PS4 exclusive. The more I played it the more I loved it. Definitely recommend playing it. -> Uncharted (series) - one of the first PS4 games I played and I really enjoyed it. I bought the Uncharted collection used at GameStop (Uncharted 1, 2 & 3 on the same disc) for pretty cheap. The story line in these game are is top notch IMO. Puzzles are fun to solve and the gun battles get pretty epic (although drawn out at times). Worth playing for sure. Haven't got to #4 or5 yet but they're on my list. -> Killzone: Shadow Fall - another pretty good PS4 exclusive. This one wasn't as long as the others above but was still fun (if you like stealth and FPS) -> Nioh - I seen it mentioned and I personally thought Nioh was way too hard and frustrating. You die very easy and you have to start over from the last checkpoint and there is usually quite a distance between them. P,us you lose all your stuff and have to make it back to your body, and if you die on the way your hoard of gear is gone forever... Some (non PS4 exclusive) games that have been some of my favorites - -Grand Theft Auto 5 (a must play IMO) - Batman (entire Arkham series is great. Arkham Knight is the newest. You can buy the first 2 games for less than $20 in a package. It's called Batman Return to Arkham) - Fallout 4 - Watch Dogs 2 (great game. The original is a lot of fun too. Watch Dogs 2 is among my favorite games ever) - Tomb Raider and Rise of the Tomb Raider (2 more of my favorites ever) - Assassin's Creed: Orgins (there have been lots of good AC games. Black Flag and a Rogue were 2 more favorites) - Far Cry 5 (Far Cry 3 is also a must play too IMO. The story and characters are amazing). - Dishonored and Dishonored 2 (if you like stealth games, with elements of BioShock in them (like the special powers you have)) - Dragon Age inquisition (great game, great story, takes a long time to play through) - Elder Scrolls Skyrim -Horizon zero Dawn and Nier Automata also belong on this list (as does Uncharted, although I'd maybe rank it a bit lower than the games above) - Sniper Elite 4 (the slow motion shots alone, where you watch your bullet rip through whatever major organ you hit makes this game worth buying/renting) - Borderlands 2 (belongs on any good game list) - South Park (both 'the stick of truth' and 'the fractured but whole' are fantastic games if you are a fan of the show. It makes you feel like you are really in an episode of South Park. So much fun!) - Red Dead Redemption (can't wait for RDR 2!!) That's all I got off the top of my head... lol Tip - GameStop has a return policy on used games. You can bring it back within 7 days no questions asked. Ive tried and returned/exchanged numerous games this way (and actually beat a couple games within the week and took them back). Kind of makes it risk free to try a game.
  19. It's really sad how many Tim Murray trades we have to say this about... It won't be a bust if Asplund develops. It won't be a total bust if Fasching turns into something good (as we watch McNabb play top minutes in the Cup final. lol) It won't be a total bust if Buffalo can hit on San Jose's 1st round pick (for Kane). It won't be a total bust if Robin Lehner can play better, or we are able to get a 3rd rounder for him (and then hit on that pick). Sadly, I believe that is pretty much every major Tim Murray trade but one (O'Reilly) I just depressed myself typing that. lol
  20. Not that this means anything, but I guess Pat Mahomes struggled at the start of OTAs in KC. But it sounds like they are throwing an awful lot at him on purpose to see what he's good at - http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000934448/article/patrick-mahomes-practice-struggles-dont-worry-reid It was a good read. Andy Reid is a smart coach. I think Mahomes likely has success under him.
  21. Kim confirms that the Sabres will draft Dahlin. Not that there was really any doubt, but it's still cool to hear her basically say it officially.
  22. Can't say I'm all that sad to see Bucky leaving... Now we just need Sully to request a buyout! Come on Sully, you know you want to. I wouldnt mind seeing Harrington leave either.
  23. 100% agree. Buffalo took the QB that needs more fine tuning but probably with the highest upside in the draft. It's not about who's best from day 1. I fully expect Josh Rosen to be the better QB to start. He is much further along in his development and much more polished than Allen is. If Rosen isn't better out the gate, it would be somewhat surprising. Its years 2, 3 and beyond that we hope Allen flys by him.
