Accomplished with an OC sent packing half way through and the whole regime/circus act terminated.
I agree with you JM,
Tyrod Taylor was not the problem.
Now add what Taylor brings to the table in the run game helping Buffalo hold the highest yards rushed per attempt in the league average through field management and participation.
I know how I feel about the QB position...
Softer exterior reduces the initial impact. Doing so without creating excessive cohesion has been the biggest obstacle in my humble opinion.
You don't want to trade less head injuries for more neck injuries.
I'm going to assume they have found a happy medium with this helmet design.
I've said this before and I'll say it again, the only thing standing between Tyrod Taylor and Cam Newton is 4 inches in height and 4 points on the wonderlic.(IMO)
The right system and supporting cast can help bridge the gap in my humble opinion.
I realize thats probably not how you view the situation Shady,
and with all due respect.
trantsplantbillsfan has always looked at Taylor as the best option available which is true in IMO.
Myself personally,
The impression I'm getting is expectations are very high on Taylor from the people that matter most with the Buffalo Bills.
McD has devised a good plan of action going forward into the future with T Mobile in my humble.
If I was a betting man, my moneys on Taylor...
double down, haha
If we could only grow QB's like we do CB's,
Pats have the best QB in the league yet still devote a great deal of attention and time upgrading the position.
well said my friend,
one injury to a key player, namely the QB, and it happens every season, changes the course of what would be a playoff contender and another team takes its place,
so why not us AFL...
...why not us...
Its been an interesting and insightful thread in my humble opinion.
I respect everyones opinion and it comes as no surprise to me the minority detractors are the most vocal in any Tyrod Taylor thread.
When you say many, based on what?
The Bills had the best O in the league when it comes to running the football Crusher, It didn't happen by accident and it took reps away from the passing game. QB had to understand and manage these plays along with everything thats expected from him in the passing game and it does put allot on a QB's plate in my humble opinion. Probably more then most QB's when you consider Taylor is also a big participant in the run game.
I seen improvement towards the end of the season in the passing game.
How about you?
I'm not counting anything out just yet JM.
How do you define elite?
Taylor has the running capabilities of an elite RB already with a cannon arm.
The only difference standing between Tyrod Taylor and Cam Newton is 4 inches in height and 4 points on the wonderlic.
Lets put T T in a Taylor made system with good McD backing him up and see what happens.
Under the circumstances JM, with zero help from the D, OC sent packing mid way as a scapegoat.
Tyrod Taylor has been one of the few positives you can take from another failed regime IMO.
I believe everything you say to be true, but heres the thing. The complexity of the G Roman O because of all the added work in the run game puts to many X's and O's on a QB's plate.
3rd season my friend,
its now or never...
Taylor's height disadvantage begs to differ in my humble opinion Crusher.
A more innovative approach in Taylors positioning on the field, horizontal passing and more user friendly system should help elevate Tyrod Taylors play IMO.
It may have appeared that way, but it would not surprise me if out of respect for McD that the Panthers organiztion was ok with the Bills/McD conducting the draft using Panther scouting reports. (speculation)
This helps confirm the 1st impressions many of us are getting on McD.
I'm not expecting everything to change overnight, but the dawning of a New Era feels close at hand,
thanks OP
(feel the rhythm with your hands)
I'm a Billiever...
I would still like to think its better to give an OC a player he believes fits his system and he can be productive with vs forcing a square peg into a round hole in my humble opinion.
Myself personally, to me it appears allot of thought has went into putting Tyrod Taylor in the best position possible to excel and take his play to the next level.
time will telll...
