  1. Its obvious Taylor at 6' 1" struggles seeing the football field and finding his targets when he's looking into the shoulder pads of bigger athletes on both sides of the football. The West Coast O works the field more horizontally and should give Taylor better throwing lanes and a better view of the football field IMO. Bigger , more dependable targets like OJ Howard would also help counter the height disadvantage in my humble opinion.
  2. I've been wanting an elite TE for so long taking Howard at 10 seems like a no brainer to me. immediate impact and security blanket for Tyrod and an immediate problem for the opposition. A big problem...
  3. I get trying to upgrade especially at the most important position on the team. Question, how does Cardale Jones fit into this?
  4. OC/systems like the one Steve Fairchild brought to town didn't help. Compounded with promotions from within a system that never worked well to begin with IMO. There is no substitute for good coaching and not even the greatest QB's that ever played the game can overcome sub par coaching in my humble opinion.
  5. J K was a great leader of men, but from an X's and O's standpoint its a known fact Jim had a low wonderlic score. (15) The complexity of todays NFL O's and D's is mind boggling...
  6. Steve Young won a Championship operating out of the West Coast O and had a similar size and skill set of Tyrod Taylor. The Bills new O was Taylor made for Tyrod in my humble opinion.
  7. I agree, CJ may not have lived up to expectations , but was a long ways from being a bust in my humble opinion bandit
  8. Packers fanbase probably has us beat Ice, thanks for saying though...
  9. The difference between Ryan and McDermott are like night and day, I'm feeling the exact opposite OP As far as Tom Brady and the Patriots go, it gives the Buffalo Bills a chance to prepare and play against the very best in the league twice a season. 3 times in all likelihood to advance in the playoffs. I hate losing to them, but I wouldn't want it any other way.
  10. This is a very good post. There is no substitute for good D in my humble opinion. Do the Bills/Taylor need to get better throwing the football, of course they do, and Tyrod Taylor would probably be the 1st to agree. On the other hand a good game manager that protects the football is something to build on in my humble opinion.
  11. Ice has been posting in TBD for years, He enjoys the shoutbox,
  12. Leading the NFL in rushing was accomplished more by design IMO. McCoy is a very gifted runner, one of the best in the league. Sherman is a very gifted CB, arguably the best in the league. I like this trade OP.
  13. Innovative coaching, proven systems, and solid QB play, McDermott/ Taylor is the fastest way to the playoffs IMO. I Billieve...
  14. At 6' 6" Howard would also help the 6' 1" Tyrod Taylor who has problems locating his playmakers on the football field. Big targets help small QB's IMO.
  15. Hows it going buddy, Bills vs Packers Superbowl sounds good to me my friend,
  16. It would be near impossible to duplicate an actual NFL game setting including all the dangers and various systems a young QB prospect may encounter or operate under Doc. The wonderlic score is a good indicator of a QB's ability to understand complex O's and D's in my humble opinion.
  17. The QB position in the NFL requires an ability to process information/ make a determination swiftly and efficiently then make an athletic throw with accuracy while under pressure. How a QB performs behind center in the NFL is the best test available in my humble opinion Doc.
  18. I realize the NFL has evolved over the years making it harder to make a fair determination. What puts Brady a little higher in my mind is his ability to operate at such a high level with average for the most part players on the receiving end of Tom Bradys passes. The guy makes everyone around him better and has continued to do so throughout his career. My vote goes for Tom Brady as the greatest QB all time. thanks OP
  19. Does anyone think its possible that failed coaching/systems may have played a role in E J Manuels failure to develop into an NFL QB. Why can 2nd or 3rd string QB's win football games behind center for the Patriots? How well do the same QB's do elsewhere?
  20. Most of the better QB's have good wonderlic scores so it must mean something. with all due respect Doc thats another way of putting it, haha
