I get where your coming from OP , a little Nasty on the Oline doesn't hurt my feelings. Players like Incognito striking the fear of God into opposing defenders works for me. On the other hand McD preaches play smart and let the officials do their jobs so... Note: I started a thread years ago here on TSW called "Protect the baby" (Trent Edwards) Gotta a little grief from my fellow patrons over the thread title, hehe Needles to say, we didn't protect the baby.

Cam Newton and Josh Allen are somewhat similar in size and running ability. Newton has been a scoring machine both running and throwing the football carrying the power forward style QB play to a whole new level in the NFL IMO. This is something McD witnessed 1st hand and I would not be surprised to see Daboll give Allen the green light to run on any given play. I get where your coming from, Allen has a good head on his shoulders and the biggest cannon in the league. Myself personally though, I'm expecting Josh Allen to use all the gifts the football gods gave him and along with McD's D , take us where no Bills fan has gone before. MERCY LeGOATski!!!

Anyone else nervously excited about tomorrow's game?
Figster replied to mozillameister's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I know the shoot out had me on the edge of my seat last night. A little nervous about todays game, but not much and I think Buffalo comes into the game relaxed and loaded for Jag. Go Bills/Sabres! -
Happy turkey day you turkeys!

When should the Bills look at drafting another QB?
Figster replied to BringBackOrton's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Tua Tago -
QB's take time to develop. Sometimes finding the right match between OC and QB takes time. Barkley has had a few 300 + games not to long ago. I'm not saying he's our knight in shining armor , but seeing an actual NFL passing attack that showed potential was a sight for sore eyes around these parts in my humble opinion. Barkley played with less then two weeks time in the Daboll system leaving lots of room for growth and improvement IMO. With all due respect my friend

Do you consider Buffalo's O a good supporting cast? because I sure don't yet Barkley looked better in the passing game then any Bills QB I have seen over the last 3 years IMO. Good QB's can make average WR's look good and thats exactly what Barkley did vs Jets IMO. Albeit was just one game, but If you can do it once it can be done again in my humble opinion. I'm curious to see If Barkley can sustain good play because he appears light years ahead of Allen operating the Daboll O.

Is this a playoff team with Tyrod?

I'll bite OP, and this is coming from a big T Mobile fan, Allen is almost to the point of being able to manage a game as well as Taylor already as a rookie in my humble opinion. Barkley in less then two weeks time in Buffalo made them both look bad... ...I'm just saying... -
QB's with greater arm strength like JK throw their share of INT's and If you look at most successful NFL QB's you will normally see the TD to INT ratio get better with experience IMO. Point taken, although I don't think Barkley was blindly playing agressive.
-
Throwing a WR open requires aggressive play IMO. It helps to have an aggressive WR on the other end that at the very least helps his QB out by disrupting the DB making a play for the football (on errant throws or in tight coverage) Barkley is seeing the field very well IMO, and seemed for one game anyway to fit nicely into what Daboll is trying to do on the football field. Myself personally, huge Josh Allen fan. On the other hand I'm an even bigger fan of my Buffalo Bills football team and Barkley made my team look to good to ignore. I also think Allen might learn a few things watching Barkley operate the Daboll Offense.

Start Josh Allen (healthy) or Matt Barkley?
Figster replied to TonyBeets's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Allen could actually learn something watching Barkley in my humble opinion. If I'm Daboll or McD, after a performance like that Barkley is my starter until Allen is capable of performing at a higher level in the passing game. -
I really like our Buffalo Bills coaching staff. I can't even remember the last time the Bills O looked this good in the passing game. Zay what?
-
I didn't think anything could get me very excited the rest of the season without Allen, but Barkley puts a whole new spin on the QB position that I did not see coming. Nice recovery Mc Beane...

Matt Barkley Will Be the Bills' Starter vs. the NYJ
Figster replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Buffalo needs a good backup, who knows, Matt Barkley might be that guy. -
The Bills have the youngest team in the NFL with rookies now when Allen returns at the 2 most important positions on O and D. I think its easy to say the team is poorly coached when you look at the results so far. On the other hand I think its easy to understand why youth and lack of experience on a whole, especially at key positions, is resulting in poor execution IMO.

Ugly O play is a result of poor decision making by the Bills GM in regards to the Oline and QB position in my opinion. We have the cheapest Oline in the NFL and its not a very intelligent way to build a football team. Better Oline play and perhaps McCarron could show what kind of player he is without getting injured. Could a young HC with enough on his plate already do more? I suppose, but how about the Bills GM doing the job he is supposed to be doing.
-
If I'm the Pegulas and someone has to go its clearly Beane in my humble opinion. Sure, I'm grateful for Allen although the Pegula's probably had everything to do with it. I'm not grateful for the lack of veteran leadership or Oline protection Beane has provided for a rookie that wasn't even supposed to be playing If it wasn't for the GM's screw ups to begin with IMO. Shaw do you honestly think there is a coach in the league thats going to win football games with Peterman behind center? I don't...

Before the season even started the Bills ranked last in the NFL in what ESPN called QB confidence rating and this was while A J McCarron was still in Buffalo. Needless to say experience matters at the QB position. Thanks OP for the great read.

If Anderson is sidelined due to injury......
Figster replied to longtimebillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Trade something/ someone to the Raiders for A J McCarron back and the problem is solved IMO. Option two, Chad Kelly... -
Why not bring Chad Kelly in for a visit?

You mean the wood that got broke in half somehow?
