Myself personally, the idea of an actual wall is going to cost a fortune and people are going to find ways to dig under it, and go over it IMO. What does this do to the wild life? Animals need room to roam, so are we putting their backs against the wall? On the other hand dog patrols offer a more mobile form of security that would be way, way cheaper then a wall that will eventually get conquered in my humble opinion. Yes , the dogs need handlers and border patrol would have to take on the responsibilities. I get where your coming from and some parts of the border, deserts for instance may not need any type of barrier because of how easy it is for detection. One of the biggest obstacles the right has of convincing the left a wall will work is a wall where? and why? Show me a plan that makes sense.

It may not, but the bad guy has very little chance of completing his objective. Drones could assist the dog/border patrol to help keep them safe. I dogs nose, knows...
-
Shoot our patrol dogs and go to prison for 10 years. Its highly unlikely you get away with it IMO.
-
The best way to secure our borders on the ground is by using patrol dogs trained to track, catch and hold their intruder/s until help arrives in my humble opinion. The dog provides a moving wall that is hard to detect, even harder to out smart IMO. Cheap, border patrol could manage them and you could designate Shep off of Live PD as their fearless 4 legged leader. ( kidding ) Does this sound humane to woman and children, no, absolutely not. It is my belief however the dangerous cross country migration teamed with the thought of Patrol dogs trained to apprehend you when you reach the US border would eliminte 99% of the problem. thoughts?

Fence, wall, whatever...

Myself personally DC, I think today was a small step in the right direction.

Might go to far back for some, but Battle of the Bulge was a good oldie.

Seems like a no brainer to me. Overtime with the chance to go to the Superbowl and one team never touches the football. Good grief, how sad can you get. Play another quarter, its an easy fix...
-
Probably about as good an argument as you can make MJS, and its not like both teams don't have a 50/50 shot at winning the coin toss. We're not die hard Chiefs fan though, so its allot easier for us to say stop being a bunch of cry babies and get over it. Myself personally , I would prefer OT in the playoffs to be as close as you can get to a game ending in regulation. Adding an extra quarter would suffice in my humble opinion.
-
true that, Its also something most teams normally have that go deep into the playofs IMO. Good coaching, franchise QB's Let me bump this post up to the next page.
-
Good argument dave, thanks for the time and effort buddy
-
true that MJS, You would however agree both Mahomes and Brady in all likelihood was going to score on their 1st possession in OT, and probably a TD with the knowledge a TD ends the game. Smart HC's with elite QB's have a huge advantage winning the coin toss in OT in my humble opinion.
-
Good posting dave, I realize I'm repeating myself, play extra quarters until the tie is broken in a way that best simulates a game ending in regulation. Its a no brainer...
-
There was no differrence in the game at the end of regulation in case you missed it...

I'm not sure you can call the Pats the team with the better D in a tie football game. Better or more lucky? I agree on why most folks are angry.
-
Regular season and playoff OT are different. I'm aghast because the much despised Pats/NFL playground bully's are advancing to the Superbowl on the flip of a coin. Taking all of Mahomes/Chiefs lunch money in the process. Hate it when that happens...

Wade Philips gives the Rams an edge, I get that, and voiced it during the game. As mentioned earlier in the thread though by a fellow patron, shouldn't both Defenses be tested in OT? The outcome of the NFC Championship was also tainted by the officials from critical non calls in what I feel is another very easy fix. The ability to red flag a missed call, an idea I started a thread on a couple seasons ago on BBMB/ Billszone. Disrupting flow of the game was the fan bases biggest concern on the idea which myself personally, would not happen. Run extra quarters in OT,( Playoffs) Red flag/ the ability to catch critical missed calls by the officials, two easy fixes in my humble opinion.

Great response Wayne Cubed, The AFC Champion was basically determined by the toss of a coin IMO.
-
4 of the highest scoring teams made the final 4 meaning nobody could stop them. You tell me where its fair for Mahomes to tie a football game in 30 some seconds just to never see the ball again in overtime? Its a simple fix, play a whole quarter.

About Tom Brady and the Patriots
Figster replied to Ice bowl 67's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Especially when we're talking one of, if not thee greatest football player in the history of the sport. Removing Brady is like removing the last boss on a video game you played forever to reach. Beating Tom Brady on the grid iron for the whole world to see is how I expect to see Mahomes become a world champion. The passing of the torch onto the next generation of greats the way it should be done in my humble opinion. Let me 2nd that Its a game folks. -
Who Are You Rooting for the Rest of the Way?
Figster replied to BUFFALOKIE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
KC for me, Mahomes has been very enjoyable to watch this season and winning a Championship would be a great way to see him finish. -
Antonio Brown has grown accustomed to finding soft spots in the oppositions D when a play breaks down because he knows Big Ben will in many instances extend the play. To me Josh Allen is very similar in that respect and it would not surprise me to see the same type of production from Brown with the Buffalo Bills. In my humble opinion billsfan_34

and more backflips when Allen and Brown start building chemistry, Elite WR's want the ball, the responsibility to move the chains, the spotlight and all the money/ popularity that goes with it. Myself personally, trading Watkins was a hard pill for me to swallow. Antonio Brown would help make up for it. Brown is a football player 1st I think was McD's comment If I remember correctly...
