There was no differrence in the game at the end of regulation in case you missed it...
-
I'm not sure you can call the Pats the team with the better D in a tie football game. Better or more lucky? I agree on why most folks are angry.

Regular season and playoff OT are different. I'm aghast because the much despised Pats/NFL playground bully's are advancing to the Superbowl on the flip of a coin. Taking all of Mahomes/Chiefs lunch money in the process. Hate it when that happens...

Wade Philips gives the Rams an edge, I get that, and voiced it during the game. As mentioned earlier in the thread though by a fellow patron, shouldn't both Defenses be tested in OT? The outcome of the NFC Championship was also tainted by the officials from critical non calls in what I feel is another very easy fix. The ability to red flag a missed call, an idea I started a thread on a couple seasons ago on BBMB/ Billszone. Disrupting flow of the game was the fan bases biggest concern on the idea which myself personally, would not happen. Run extra quarters in OT,( Playoffs) Red flag/ the ability to catch critical missed calls by the officials, two easy fixes in my humble opinion.

Great response Wayne Cubed, The AFC Champion was basically determined by the toss of a coin IMO.

4 of the highest scoring teams made the final 4 meaning nobody could stop them. You tell me where its fair for Mahomes to tie a football game in 30 some seconds just to never see the ball again in overtime? Its a simple fix, play a whole quarter.

About Tom Brady and the Patriots
Figster replied to Ice bowl 67's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Especially when we're talking one of, if not thee greatest football player in the history of the sport. Removing Brady is like removing the last boss on a video game you played forever to reach. Beating Tom Brady on the grid iron for the whole world to see is how I expect to see Mahomes become a world champion. The passing of the torch onto the next generation of greats the way it should be done in my humble opinion. Let me 2nd that Its a game folks. -
Who Are You Rooting for the Rest of the Way?
Figster replied to BUFFALOKIE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
KC for me, Mahomes has been very enjoyable to watch this season and winning a Championship would be a great way to see him finish. -
Antonio Brown has grown accustomed to finding soft spots in the oppositions D when a play breaks down because he knows Big Ben will in many instances extend the play. To me Josh Allen is very similar in that respect and it would not surprise me to see the same type of production from Brown with the Buffalo Bills. In my humble opinion billsfan_34

and more backflips when Allen and Brown start building chemistry, Elite WR's want the ball, the responsibility to move the chains, the spotlight and all the money/ popularity that goes with it. Myself personally, trading Watkins was a hard pill for me to swallow. Antonio Brown would help make up for it. Brown is a football player 1st I think was McD's comment If I remember correctly...

McBeane Confidence Update
Figster replied to The Real Buffalo Joe's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
On the other hand Allen gets injured and sidelined in part to Beane doing a poor job replacing Buffalo's 2 best lineman IMO. McCarron gets injured in preseason for the same reason then gets sent packing in favor of the so called pro's pro Peterman leaving the Bills practically zero experience at the QB position. Our best WR gets traded in Watkins replaced by KB. Don't get me wrong, Josh Allen may turn out to be the MVP/pick in the history of the franchise. Do we even know for sure the driving force behind the Allen pick? -
Eli and the G men have been hard for me to hate despite the heartbreaking loss to the Giants in the Superbowl. Maybe because I blame Norwide for the loss more then anything... ...damn kickers...

Thanks for explaining, Myself personally, without Rodgers I wouldn't be giving the Packers much thought.

McBeane Confidence Update
Figster replied to The Real Buffalo Joe's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
McD's approch to winning football games so far has been somewhat conservative with a run heavy ball control O and good D to back it up IMO. I do however think T Mobile behind center and the limited experience of the rookie Allen plays a part in McD's approach. -
Cleveland Browns to hire Freddie Kitchens as HC
Figster replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No, not at all, but If you think about it Kitchens had all the leverage he needed in my humble opinion. -
Bookmarked, thanks Buddy

Thanks, much appreciated. You are correct.

Mind supplying a link that supports your post. ( targeted like a 1 ) Most targeting stats/rankings include TE's and RB's.
-
I don't think Zay was targeted like a #1, and our #1 in KB was a joke which doesn't help matters because it allows the opposition the ability to focus more on #2 WR IMO. Rookie QB on a team near the bottom of the league in attempts. I'm not sure what the ranking are supposed to tell you. My eye test tells me Zay Jones is developing good chemistry with Josh Allen. Myself personally, I'm expecting a break out season from Jones next season.

Pick your Bills 2018 awards, MVP, ROY, etc.

Nice call on Barkley I like how you think... -
Interesting and optimistic point about our final record
Figster replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Take away the 2nd best D in the league and we might be drafting 1st overall in the next draft. I'm just saying... -
Its awesome IMO.
-
Shaw simply pointed out Zay Jones is middle of the pack as a # 2 in his 2nd season under not so great conditions. Looks like Alpha did some heavy partying over New Years because his reply missed the mark IMO. With all due respect to Alpha because we normally see eye to eye. Zay what ? (to all the skeptics) Zay, give him a chance, and lets continue this discussion at the end of next season...

The 10 + yards per pass attempt helps illustrate the lower number of check down/higher percentage plays most rookie QB's would take advantage of IMO. I'm not saying its always a good stat to have depending on the circumstances, but it suggests to me no play is to big for Josh Allen including 3rd and forever. (20 +) We've seen Big Ben make the same kind of 20+ throws for a 1st down on many occasions. I agree, both Allen and Edmunds are a work in progress. Stats don't lie. Rookie mistakes while leading the youngest team in the league resulted in a losing record. With that being said the Buffalo Bills ended the year with allot of high expectations for next season. 10 - 6 OR BETTER sounds about right to me.

Both Fitz and Josh Allen by way of wonderlic are two of the smartest QB's in the league. Also two of the most fearless. Difference being one is a savvy vet, the other a rookie learning on the run. (literally) Fitzy lacks the sufficient arm strength it takes to succeed at a high level in the NFL IMO. Allen on the other hand/arm at times, has to much arm strength on display. Myself personally, the progress Josh Allen has made as a rookie in a not so perfect situation around him has been impressive. My hat goes off to the posters that wanted to see Allen on the field sooner vs later and I feel like we are one season ahead of schedule now because of it. I'm into stats myself and have used them in many discussions. Speaking of stats, Josh Allen 10 + yards per pass attempt average was higher then any QB in the NFL.
