  1. We also run the lightest box in the NFL McDermott was ahead of the trend 8 years ago and at the end of the day our two linebacker system is not really good at keeping the run numbers down between the twenties .. even though we have had some solid run defenses here We don't play big And it makes us susceptible to the run occasionally but that doesn't mean we can't stop it when McDermott buckles down Of course not happy with how it looks but they are professionals and need to get better
  2. Still technically only allowed 19 points And 130 passing yards ... I meant more the run defense clampens up inside the 25 Historically with McDermott.. between the twenties sometimes teams go for five six yards a carry and it does get tighter when McDermott's back is against the wall typically A lot to clean up.. but bills are allowing 22 ppg and we're still getting two good players back and our first round pick If you're allowing 170 yards on the ground you could be giving up 28 30 points in the NFL.. the bills played there c-minus game and scored 30 again They got a lot of work to do but if this is the bills c+ defense it has room to get better.. it certainly is not our A+ game All the best offenses and defenses in the NFL get better as the season progresses .. in December we will know a lot more.. hoecht and ogunjobi are going to help a good amount at run stuffing and some pressure
  3. Technically Lamar does have two MVPs without Derrick Henry though I understand what you're saying 2 years ago when he won his last one Henry wasn't on the Ravens.. Gus Edwards was their starter
  4. Yeah rattler definitely missed him wide open That's basically pitch and catch at the NFL level
  5. Grammar police! 🥸 it was a typo obviously lol
  6. He wasn't a dumpster fire at Oklahoma but he also had future number one overall pick Caleb Williams breathing down his neck As a sophomore Oklahoma he threw 28 touchdowns 7 picks in over 3,000 yards His senior season at South Carolina was 19 touchdowns 8 interceptions.. almost 69% completion 260 yards per game so he had a good season just not a lot of touchdowns
  7. That's why I'm very happy the new stadium is going to natural grass Cannot beat it and it's safer
  8. But we're allowing 130 yards passing McDermott is clearly willing to let people take a long time running down the field.. between the 25s.. and then he clamps it Even when we needed to tighten up against Baltimore we stopped the run the last three drives he's playing a long game... And we're still top 10 in points against And they're getting good players back so there's still optimism
  9. I think it's always been middle of road field Not bottom five, not top five... Just squarely in the middle and occasionally some people are slipping But our team practices and plays there enough that they should know the correct spikes for the cleats to mitigate it the best
  10. Josh is in full control of the offense and can audible and get to any play at any time now You always want the best play calling to maximize anything but Josh can get into anything he wants he knows the offense like the back of his hand... If he doesn't like the play call he can go to something else
  11. ahh ya puka is doing filthy stuff He is getting 15 targets a game though
  12. Offensive player of the year incoming for Jimbo?!? The K gun always ran through thurmanator and James Cook is now officially one of the top backs in the world I always thought he had a lot of talent but needed to work on other areas to become a Bell cow He is legitimately a feature back and I'm glad beane got it done He has world class vision , amazing burst and has been finishing behind his pads for a while and hes hitting his prime Thank you Jimbo! Your on your way to accolades
  13. Congratulations McDermott!! Considering the last two games we've lost by field goals while being completely outmanned I'd say we absolutely can We're one of the few teams who have out coached Reid and spagnola in a regular season game and we're not getting completely out coached in the playoffs considering three-point game while being undermanned I 100% half faith they can the only thing left is to actually do it! Go bills
  14. Also Derrick Henry is running like a madman the first game because he's fresh And nobody wants to break their collarbone on a 250 lb beast week 1 so I think our defense is also tackling him conservatively
  15. Looked like it got possibly hyperextended Punter has no ability to protect himself there that could been much worse
  16. AFC West gonna be a good fight Idk if I have faith in SD ... Chiefs are gonna be their boogyman
  17. Ravens losing players And Chiefs out coaching Ravens
  18. This is going to be a dog fight in second half
  19. I mean to think Sean can't run a great defense when his defense when he was the defensive coordinator of the Panthers allowed the fewest yards ever in a loss in the super bowl He was very good as a defensive coordinator and now he's very good as a head coach spagnola is great his defense did just get destroyed in the super bowl
  20. What kind of personnel are you talking about? Sean McDermott was the defensive coordinator when the Panthers had the fewest yards allowed in a super bowl loss I think when they both have all their pieces their defenses are fantastic Both can struggle when they don't have all their defenses but I think Sean does more with less historically over 18 years then spagnola Spagnola does have the ability to run a world-class defense but like Sean it requires all the pieces
  21. I mean him and Sean McDermott have been head coaches or defensive coordinators the same amount of time 17 or 18 years McDermott has more combined top 10 defenses for points against yards against and turnovers overall more than spagnola I've always said I think Steve is a very good defensive coordinator but some people here have this Aura like his defenses unbeatable or his scheme is unstoppable We have had some defenses that struggle but Sean McDermott is historically also with Bill belichick historically the best at taking the way the ball McDermott's takeaway numbers are in a class of their own with Bill belichick in modern day I got it some people don't like McDermott's style of defense that doesn't mean he's not a great coach and spagnola also is very good but he's not unbeatable
  22. His defense philosophy would get gashed with the bills lol We don't even have close to the personnel his style wants .. and he has plenty of mediocre and bad defenses on tape when he doesn't have all his pieces
  23. Played a C- game and they finna win by 12 This is the NFL and on bad days double digits
  24. Bills have given up like a hundred passing yards We just have been sloppy with a lot of penalties and untimely stuff Short!!
