  1. Let's see how many super bowls this gets the Rams There's been plenty of teams that have made Blockbuster trades and won out free agency and they never won Jack The Patriots and Brady on the other hand never won the off season and won like six super bowls... And they hardly made any big splashes Beane has been plenty aggressive in his regime... he's identified players he's liked whether they worked out or not and gotten them... Moved up for Josh .. moved up for Tremaine.. traded a first for Stef.. has been retaining all of our homegrown players .. he's not been Joe schmo
  2. Tom Brady won like six super bowls with the Patriots and they never made any big splashes He never won a super bowl with Randy Moss
  3. Beane has been one of the best GMS in the NFL since his tenure began here If you think he's been a malpracticing GM I don't know what you've been watching You play a lot of Madden and you want to see Blockbuster trades I get it
  4. You certainly cannot judge any rookie from their first year let alone somebody like boogie Lorenzo Alexander wasn't a productive defensive player until he was 30 years old.. and he turned out pretty good Players develop at different rates judging somebody after one year is ludicrous
  5. Not to mention Tampa Bay took that idiot kicker in the second round a few years ago too
  6. Yeah because he spent a first round pick on Ed Oliver.. a first round pick on Gregg.. a second round pick on boogie.. and another second round pick on AJ I think he is trying to solve it via the draft Whether it works out in the Long haul is up in the air but he certainly has thrown Capital at it
  7. Sure That's why Sabans one of the greatest college coaches ever He understands the college football game basically better than anybody... He knows how to get the most out of young adults And he gets really talented football players and he usually knows how to get the most out of them And he's smart enough to pull hurts for tua at halftime in a national championship game... I think he's absolutely the only coach who makes that decision and it was the right one
  8. I expect Cole Snyder to lead a revamped UB offense And the resurgence of talent at the DB position I expect a revamped secondary as well that will be able to hold up to the spread offenses in the mac
  9. NFL is full of shoulda coulda woulda Saban like most college coaches are de facto rulers.. they run the show so there's not much foolery going on opposed to NFL They treat them like kids because they're kids.. no weekends out in Vegas or anything like that When they leave and go to the NFL.. the NFL doesn't babysit them like saban.. the league treats them like adults Then their true being starts to shine when they're not getting babysitted 24 hours a day for four seasons... They didn't get weird after they left Alabama They always had it in them and Nick Saban controls them.. you don't get controlled in the NFL
  10. Effort was outstanding! Symir has another season and has some good traits so hopefully he can work on his offensive game He is very quick and can get into the lane to make a play ... Just needs to finish consistently Add that Edwards is coming back ... JG3 , Edwards might be a all acc combo in the pick and roll
  11. It's hard to be disappointed but I feel we could a won!
  12. At 5'8 I think he will always crumble under the pressure in the playoffs... Just can't play from the pocket consistently I don't think he'll ever be a threat to take a team to a Super bowl
  13. If Davis already got his signature win because he beat coach K... Probably not going to be a great career there I would call his signature win a natty And honestly since I grew up in the Big East basketball and not ACC I'm not super familiar with the Carolina family slogan.. I can tell you every single coach at Syracuse also played for Boheim and it's 100% a family program at SU and they brand that also
  14. No foul was called on the floor right?
  15. They don't make it to passing downs in the nfl
  16. As I've detailed in threads here .. McDermott and co still utilize the dual a gap look he leaned from Jim Johnson But they don't send the magic number 5-6 enough.. it's basically a decoy to make QBs count heads Teams spread out and keep in 5 sometimes 6 blockers .. and McDermott can't match and rush 5-6 because they usually don't get their fast enough Tremaine isn't a effective rusher after 4 seasons.. Klein was a better blitzer.. the threat at this point is the decoy not the blitz...
  17. Said all last year that Josh Allen is the best player in the NFL He's not a generational quarterback he's a generational football player.. at the most important position
  18. There were plenty of scouts who said Allens ability to escape pressure and extend plays outside the pocket was elite coming out It was a lot of the other inconsistencies that people were skeptical about
  19. And if he stayed here he would have been a productive player It's all about scheme fit in the NFL It wasn't luck that he had an elite first step off the Ball, and Sean let him play an aggressive three technique Ed Oliver wouldn't be a fit in a lot of schemes.. he said it himself he owes his career to Sean McDermott and the scheme that he was put into There are a million examples of guys playing good in one scheme and not another
  20. Those guys were already good football players. Just not in ideal situation Sure it might have been good foresight to pick up a run stuffer like Robinson.. but they didn't develop him.. Floyd always had talent just not consistency Just like when the bills picked up Jordan Phillips.. he was supremely talented going back to Oklahoma.. the dolphins just didn't use him right McDermott identified a player and put him in the right fit where it let him shine.. like it's possible with most NFL players The Rams have been good at that and they're going to continue to need to be because they don't have picks 3 picks in the top 3 rounds in the last 2 years not a sustainable winning formula no matter what... I think in 3 years they're going to be in trouble
  21. Imo Stafford will play for a few more seasons... They don't have a lot of picks or money.. they can trade Jalen Ramsey for picks if they want and lose one of. their best defensive player And that 2017 year shows Sean McDermott's coaching prowess.. that team didn't deserve to be in the playoffs but he schemed and coached the team to it.. despite some poor showings And technically that team did have first round pick tre white.. Jerry Hughes was also a first round pick that we traded for.. and Kelvin Benjamin was also a first round pick that we traded for I absolutely understand your premise.. about how the team wasn't loaded with first round picks.. But that defense was an opportunistic sieve.. our defense today.. though still is capable of letting us down.. has a lot more higher picks on it.. and it plays better week to week.. statistically and eye test Again it's my opinion but I think the 5-year future of the bills is a lot better than the Rams
  22. Football's a game of inches We could have had one it just didn't work out... The NFC was also a much stronger conference This is all hindsight.. we don't have one so of course you would But I'd rather have a team that can sustain winning for years .. you really want to go back to the drought?
  23. Absolutely But we're talking hypotheticals for football.. And the Rams are not going to be a good football team in 3 years.. I'd rather have a good football team around Allen for 10 years straight.. and that means not trading away all your assets
