Transfer Portal is killing college football
Buffalo716 replied to ArdmoreRyno's topic in College Football
There is a semi professional development league… It’s called division one football And the bold it is so untrue… 99% of D1 football players never sniff the pros…. The majority are all there for their education The elite of the elite don’t care… A free college education is still a huge Boon to a lot of kids -

That’s a myth Weather conditions always effect defense more than offense ALL The offensive players know the play call and all the receivers know what they are running the defense is literally a step behind and in the same conditions

Baker Mayfield is really Joe Pendleton
Buffalo716 replied to buffaloboyinATL's topic in The Stadium Wall
I never said he didn’t have any offers He could’ve went to a mid major but bet On himself and his talents There’s not one other walk on who Started at quarterback at a major program As a true freshman majority of season … That’s not revisionist history.. Texas tech wasn’t willing to give him a scholarship after and that’s asinine … He won the job as a true freshman in the Big12 as a walk on… Even if Patrick Mahomes is better that’s worth a scholarship 100% of the time That’s a fact And That doesn’t mean Baker would be a superstar in the NFL… But absolutely has way more talent than to be a journeyman at this point… And should’ve been given a scholarship by Texas Tech It’s OK if Baker stole your girlfriend.. His story and joshes are certainly among the greatest ever in college sports -
All valid points But Coach Schneider might be the most underrated coach in football history… Not just college football or pro football In the history of football

Baker is his own worst enemy … he was the josh Allen story before josh … walk on … earned a STARTING JOB as a walk on true freshmen wasn’t given a scholarship(which is asinine) gambled on himself and WALKED ON again at Oklahoma and became a heisman winner and campus legend … his work ethic COULD NOT be questioned then… he has a very strong arm , great ball placement and a quick release .,, and is tough af somewhere along the way he drank his own kool aid and his cockiness has stunted his growth as a player … maybe he finally wakes up -
By all accounts tage was the top 1-3 Prospect under the age of 21 in their system Unless you’re a generational Prospect or top 10 pick It’s hard to call a 19-20 year old an under performer in the NHL… He needed to develop his 5 on 5 skill

I’ve could grow a stache in 8th grade lol

Tage Thompson was a top prospect for the Blues He was not a throwaway afterthought… At least not to people around hockey The Sabres weren’t taking the trade without tage
