  1. Right. We should just scrap all the wrs and sign linemen. Put out #5, #25, #35, and 8 o-linemen.
  2. I'm oddly optimistic when I buy a lottery ticket. Never won though.
  3. All the momentum of 2 sacks and a stop drained on a punt downed at the 2....
  4. "A couple of first place teams, set to do battle here" Would like to hear that about 10 weeks from now.
  5. Fair enough. But it's not even good desert camo. I love the truck other than that (and the blue oval), it just looks like camo done by someone who has never done camo.
  6. Badass truck right there. But that paint job, though. So freakin ugly. I love me some camo, but wow that blows. Plus, desert camo in NY? Come on now. Great for Kevin, though. An American hero who really deserves it. For those who missed it: https://youtu.be/Q_0NWS1hPsw
  7. Everyone is always so worried about new threads around here. I don't see the big deal. Obviously you don't want thread spamming, or massive redundancy, but we have a half dozen threads not even about the Bills on the main page, so I don't see how this has any less merit than those. Just my $.02
  8. He will get the extension. Even though he is at a dismal 28% approval rating, gets booed nonstop, and has helped take the game where many don't want to see it go; during his tenure the profits are up more than 50%. It has been quite awhile since the NFL cared about the fans, choosing the "we already have them hooked" philosophy, and clearly they were right, but the fact is that owners decide if he gets a re-up and their pockets are fatter than ever. Nevermind that viewership is down and the product on the field is slipping, they are making money. Methinks this structure doesn't have long term staying power, but I have been wrong before....
  9. I like this thread. I am one that tempers excitement because it was just the Jets, but have some optimism now. Not neccesarily because of the Bills performance, but more so the pathetic state of many other teams. When we were 31 in the power rankings, my thought was "that sounds about right", but now I think 25ish is the floor and we may actually be in the 15-20 range. Still I doubt we "become relevant again" this year, but it seems more possible than it did 7 days ago.
  10. Hey, Erik. I have been reading and watching your stuff lately and it is really good. Probably could have just PMed you to say that, but we appreciate the content, sir. Thanks.
  11. You make some very legitimate points. I know many with clout around here are pro-media, but I myself have no skin in the game. Objectively, it looks like an industry painfully adjusting to the state of information delivery right now. You can't really blame them, it happened so darned fast they could not have seen it coming. I agree that micropayments could be their secrect sauce if tapped. But either way there will be many news orgs that fall casualty in the transition. This is just the cycle of a free-market system in my opinion, just like your examples of Kodak, where my Grandfather worked, so this is not the first time I have seen something like this. I don't intend to ruffle high flying feathers, but I think the state of the media is at an all time low. Maybe it is being forced to write clickbait for ad revenue, maybe aggressively fighting to stay relevant, or maybe it's a loss of the original goal of media: unbiased reporting. Honestly, it has been a loooo... ....ooooong time since I have seen unbiased reporting; on any topic, from any outlet, at any time. Perhaps even that is a symptom of people wanting to hear what they already believe in an echo chamber. People only want to hear things they already agree with these days, and silence the opposition. Scary.
  12. That sums it up for me. I get better info here, with biases from all sides and I can form opinions that way. Not to mention it's fast. I don't do the twitter thing, but all news is here approximately 4 seconds after it's tweeted (shoutout to YOLO)... I would actually pay $3 for TBD if it was neccesary. But paying the BN just isn't something I would ever even consider.
  13. The beginning of the trend is that newspapers will soon be gone, and so will all the little news teams. The AP and social media are taking over. So the antiquated way of news delivery is trying any way to keep themselves viable, but since they are writing based on AP sources and social media, their content is effectively identical to other free outlets. It's just an awkward time where they haven't extinct yet and are flailing desperately in their last few moments of life.
  14. Rating are way down. Disney, I mean... come on. And they decided to allow politics to permeate the coverage and have shown their bias for "lefty ideals", illustrated with the Ditka/Hill double standard. People want sports not politics from ESPN. Plus, Conservatives watch sports too. And that disgusting Hank mashup on Mondays isn't going to help their cause as much as they thought it would. Who'd have thunk that country and rap/autotune stuff sounds terrible together... oh, yeah, everyone except ESPN apparently. And chuck wagon- I don't think anybody is "pining for the good old days", but it's obvious espn has gone awry. For me at least, it's an observation, not a gripe or complaint. It is what it is. Companies sometime run themselves into the ground, something espn is doing a fine job at currently.
  15. I know for sure, the week after beating the pats to go 3-0 we were 2nd. I remember all the playoff brackets giving us home field advantage in the tourney.
  16. Pats get the benefit of the doubt because they win all the time. We don't get the benefit of ****. It was just the Jets. They blow, and it's not as if we just imposed our will on them. To be excited beating the jets you really have to hang 35 on their D, and have the game put away by halftime. My opinion of course...
  17. No, no. Tyrod has become elite, didn't you see? He completed over the middle so all of our woes are gone! Plus we beat a team we were supposed to beat, so we clearly turned the corner to "contender". The only real question is if we will be able to lock up home field throughout the playoffs before our bye, or before the NE game. Good for them we will be resting Taylor. Nevermind that we still had offensive issues against the worst team, and gave up lots of plays to possibly the worst starting QB. Yayyyyyyyy!
  18. Maybe he should be pissed at security. You can't do anything in the stands anymore. I can only scream really loudly when standing... sadly that is now banned from the stadium unless celebrating a particular play. Then it's back to your butt on a bench. Takes the fun out of it and disuades people from cheering/yelling. They have been "changing the culture" in the stands too, to a PC, family friendly, no fun zone safe space. The atmosphere at THE RALPH has been disintegrated and subdued. Fans "wanted this" apparently, people want a sanitized environment so their kids don't hear any bad words or mean drunk people. The world is too rough for them, the delicate flowers. JMO Gotta get everyone behaving before they put up big $ for a new stadium. I'm kinda fired up about it, as you can probably infer. End rant\
