  1. Well rgiii had terrible lower body mechanics. He's basically a case study on how to NOT jump/run to protect your ACL. There's a ton of literature about his knee and their valgus stressor positioning during his combine jumps. So sometimes coaches just ignore it because "if it ain't broke yet, don't fix it" until it's too late, and it is broke, and you can't fix it. Chop it off fam. It's done for.
  2. I don't disagree overall with the sentiment, but if Allen implodes then we will crash and burn. If he pulls a wentz in year 2 we will be amazing. QB play is the most important thing to a team's success in regards to players on the field.
  3. Not a massage therapist. Nice to see you are good at making things up. If you want to try and act intelligent and make "evaluations" on players, and to a greater extent, their throwing/body mechanics you should probably spend a few more minutes on Google. I suggest you learn about kinesiology, joint forces, and arthrokinematics, and how they apply to the mechanisms of orthopedic injuries before you try "evaluating" a QBs throwing mechanics again. Scouting a player and projecting their future performance is one thing. It's not an exact science and has a lot of opinion. Throwing/body mechanics is an exact science, you know, because it is actually science. There are facts and opinions. You seem to know nothing about facts in this instance.
  4. Actually it's not a "background in anatomy" I treat patients daily with all kinds of sports related injuries. I teach throwing mechanics frequently during rehab. The "90 degree" angle you talk about is used as a guideline because when you drop your elbow below your shoulder while throwing overhand it causes increased valgus stress on the medial elbow complex. The elbow doesn't abduct. The shoulder does. They are referring to not dropping the shoulder below 90 degrees of abduction while throwing. The 90 degrees of elbow FLEXION is more about accuracy with mechanics, not about injury. The 90 of SHOULDER ABDUCTION (more precisely being below 90) is what causes elbow injuries. I suggest YOU do your research. Watching doesn't mean you understand kinesiology. Talking about "laxity of his elbow compartment with the baseball style snapping of his wrist" makes no sense. Laxity in a joint COMPLEX is in regards to this joint capsule and if the ligaments have been stretched/damaged or not. You are using completely incorrect terminology and trying to talk like you are an expert. I do this for a living.
  5. I mean drew is 2 inches taller. But close enough. He looks like a small cornerback trying to play QB. He's got a tiny frame.
  6. That photo is terrible. It looks like it's passed through an Instagram filter. Will have to see them live or on TV before I make a call.
  7. By the way, if you're going to try to do an " in depth analysis" of somebody's mechanics, your should do your research first. There is so much wrong with your post. "5) Baseball throwing style for infielders (pushes the ball rather than creating the traditional 90 degree bracket between humerus, ulna, forearm and bicep)" What are you talking about? Baseball infielders don't push the ball. They whip it. The force on the medial aspect of the elbow joint causes increased strain on the medial collateral (aka ulnar collateral) ligament This is called a "valgus force" This is increased exponentially when dropping the elbow below the shoulder, or "sidearming" the ball repeatedly. This causes strain to the medial aspect of the elbow complex. Surgical repair of the ligament, aka Tommy John, is when the ligament is torn. I've never seen them do a compartment release, unless it's an ulnar nerve transposition. This has nothing to do with "90 degree bracket between humerus, ulnar, forearm and bicep" unless you're talking about keeping the elbow above or at shoulder height while throwing. Your ulna is your forearm (along with your radius), and your humerus is your upper arm, which is where your biceps brachii is located.
  8. Allen was close to having it. Ulnar collateral ligament was what Allen tore, but his was a partial and they let it heal.
  9. Size does matter when he's going to get smashed by a DT twice his size and broken in half.
  10. Way too many words to say "he's going to get hurt, he's built like a 6th grader"
  11. Thanks!! Good video. Only 2 drops in his entire college career is pretty awesome for hock. Fant drop rate is very alarming.
  12. Either of these are likely.
  13. He also was the backup, only starting because Winston was hurt, and then promptly crapped the bed when he was named the starter ?
  14. Said it earlier. Win total completely hinges on Allen, and whether we get him some help in the draft. If he implodes 4 wins If he makes some incremental progress we are looking at 8 wins If he makes a nice "leap" (no pun intended) 11-12 wins is very feasible. He is a complete unknown. I'm hopeful he'll make land somewhere between "some improvement" and "the leap" giving us 10 wins the more I think about it.
  15. Yep. Fitz arm strength is average. His problem is, and always has been, a lack of consistency. I almost think that the pressure of being "the man" messes with his head and he tries to do too much. I might be remembering it wrong, but it always seems to me that he wins games he's not supposed to, he plays his best when he's the backup coming in for the injured starter. When he's not nothing to lose, because he's still "the backup" he just lets it all hang out and looks comfortable and loose. As soon as he's named the starter and given the keys to the car, he tightens his grip on the wheel and tenses up, then promptly craps the bed, losing games against subpar teams.
  16. Aj brown is a big slot Unless we are going 4 wide why would we draft that high on a slot receiver when we just paid Cole handsomely?? Also it's definitely that time of year for "crazy draft threads" to ramp up. I think the over-under is +12 a day currently.
  17. Right I'm just saying your can't expect to target one player in a trade back, you need to have multiple options you're happy with at that value. If you move from #9 to #15 you need to have 7 guys you're willing to take on your board #15 because there is a chance that 6 of them might already be gone. Kroft from what I've seen is more a blocker then receiver (but not bad at either) I also think you misunderstood me in regards to what makes a great tight end. Gates not being a great blocker was fine and he was a ridiculously good receiver. My point was they didn't really utilize another te from what I remember, and that was their system. I'm saying that you don't want to be like "oh I have this guy for my running/blocking plays and this guy for my passing plays" If you're rotating that often then you can run into problems. Gronk and Hernandez were both excellent blockers and receivers.
  18. Taskersghost making a long-winded post (coming from me that's saying something...) which can be summarized into the following sentence: "I, taskersghost, hate Josh Allen at QB, and will continue to do so, even if he wins an MVP, goes to the Superbowl, walks on water, and turns water into premium craft beer with the snap of his fingers. I also am Josh Rosen's mom." This summary can be applied to all his posts. He never will.
  19. Saying they have enough blocking with the kid from Cincinnati doesn't make sense If the other team knows that kroft is primarily a blocker then it kind of gives away what play style you're running when you have him on the field vs the receiving te That's why a guy like hock (and gronk) is so valuable, they are 3 down players who create confusion between whether they will be blocking, receiving, or both on that play
  20. I'm tired of people coming up with fantasies to trade down for a specific player. If you trade down there is no guarantee your guy will be there, so you don't "trade back for player X" you have to say "I'm going to trade back and be okay taking playerX, player Y, player Z, player A or player B" at that spot/value If you don't have a pupu platter you are okay choosing from at a specific spot that you trade back to then it's not worth it.
  21. Pretty much what I text my friend yesterday. If the QB/offense implodes looking at between 4 and 6 wins If the QB/offense really clicks early we could be looking at 10 to 12 wins I figured I'd split the difference with 7 ?
  22. Did you look at the pats? welker and gronk combined for 321 of Brady's 387 yards ?
  23. Weller and gronk were so freaking good too. I think wes went over 200 yards with 2 TD I think gronk was over 100 with 1 or 2 TDs also. I think the pats were like top 5 offense that year but like last in the league defensively. Stevie Johnson had a game for us too if I'm not mistaken. Heck of a game.
  24. It was a really bad injury and hopefully it doesn't nag him in the future. Dude's a beast.
