Vegas has win totals for next year
SouthNYfan replied to DBilz2500's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This. People get too caught up in deciding that he's tribe, or that he's the best thing since sliced bread. There's a lot in between there. If he becomes an above average QB then they are a 8-10 win roster right now I believe. If he becomes a second year stud (like Goff or wentz did) then they are 10-12 wins I believe. If he's barely average this season then they are probably 6-8. If he sucks then they're a dumpster fire. Either way this isn't a make or break year for him as a career, but it would be very encouraging for him to build on the end of last season and how well he played. -
Tom Brady tweets for the 1st time ever

I've been hoping for years that his career would be ended because he had to have multiple toes amputated after a l bad infection from a pedicure -
Blathering idiot at the bar making things up and people just think he's right because he says it with conviction and a lot of words. He's basically a politician, just making up things and hiding it behind a lot of words Shockingly it works in politics because people still don't know how to do an internet search. It doesn't work here because sports fans are bloodhounds ?

As usual you've gone off on a tangent ignoring where you were proven wrong. The question you posed was not "if Allen doubles his stats" it was "if Allen has an identical career to Newton after 8 seasons would you be happy with him" (paraphrase) Yes. I would. You then chose to ignore the fact that you made up an arbitrary "perennial 30td' threshold, and called that "marginally average" but then were schooled on the fact that even the current elite QBs don't even hit that number more than 40% or so of the time, then ignored the fact that Newton averages 30 total tds a season. Go home man. You keep digging yourself deeper.

Josh Allen's hurdle wins GMFB's play of the year
SouthNYfan replied to sven233's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm gonna get flamed but it's a really tough call!! The Allen leap was spectacular, but so was the TD run, and if I actually had a Twitter acct I would have to think about which one to vote for. I think the Henry run edges it for me if I was a neutral and unbiased voter. Having said that, in a close call, I'd give it to Allen due to homerism ? -
Hockenson at #9 Change My Mind
SouthNYfan replied to Mike in Syracuse's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not gonna go through every one but gronk was a first round grade who dropped because of injury red flag. Most of those guys are pure receiving tight ends from just glancing it over, hock is a complete package like gronk who blocks great as well as receives great. He's an every down TE, unlike guys like Graham who are basically big slot receivers. -
I also believe that their offensive system, or at least the one that daboll wants to run, is very te reliant. Te is very important in modern NFL offense in both blocking and receiving. They could honestly go with dline or te early, with wr being a dark horse also. I think those are the only positions in play, at least in the first 2 picks

Agree on all this Gunner. Fitz looks toast. He's a sure-handed #2/#3 at best now. Their line was a travesty last year. I also don't think david johnson is that great. Giants are a disaster. I really think Beane was the brains, I was talking about that with my NYG fan friend. He agrees completely. He's completely at a loss for what on Earth Gettleman is doing. They are a complete dumpster fire. Steelers definitely need a MLB. I agree with them trading up/lack of trading up. It's just not something they do.

Not like tiki ?? Stephen Davis was pretty solid.

Ironic. Somebody quoting taskers ghost who's also posting made up stats. Sterling Sharpe retired after the 1994 season. Sterling Sharpe was also a wr, who was mostly an immediate to deep threat. His brother was the TE, who never played for GB. Favre comp% 1994: 62.4% Favre comp% 1995: 63.0% Hard to take you seriously when you are so egregiously mistaken.

So you're saying that, in your system, if somebody isn't at least a 7.1 out of 10 they aren't worth a first round pick, and that usually doesn't extend to the top32? Still, you have been touting hock as bottom first/early second and yet he's #10 on your draft. I really don't see how that makes sense, even with your grading system
