  1. while there's a bit of disparity in income split, NFL teams do generally run MUCH LARGER supporting structure to support the huge stadiums and 53 + IR + practice squad of 10 - so at least 63 full time professional players vs. 15 for NBA teams. Scouting, etc. are much larger teams. Expenses are not the same.
  2. yup, I agree. lol that's true too. Just play sammy. And guide your kids to basketball. Of course their chances of making elite money in basketball are smaller since there are only 5 starters on pro basketball teams vs. 24 starters on football teams. Are you going to bet the future income of your children on that smallest of chances?
  3. Watkins commenting on NBA salaries vs NFL (Curry got a $201m contract). #2018contract. I am going to guess he's going to have a career year this year. King Me‏Verified account @sammywatkinsFollow More We gotta get paid more I'm pretty sure 2014 class will change the market
  4. That means you are either not telling your instructor that it hurts or he/she isn't a good instructor. try doing it with a good teacher. whatever move hurts, don't do it - all of them will tell you that. And start with a very basic class, with simple moves.
  5. I do like basic to some moderate level yoga once in a while. Man, yoga works out those muscles you didn't know you had! the middle and advanced stuff is really hard. You need to be super strong and flexible at the same time. Advanced yogis are athletes man. It's "hard" in a different way. In Lesean's case, "hard" means its challenging his body, and for a pro athlete like him, it's great. It's going to give him more flexibility, and strengthens muscles that help with stability and change of direction.
  6. Yoga is awesome for athletes! Yoga workouts are the hardest — Lesean McCoy (@CutonDime25) https://twitter.com/CutonDime25/status/880428157446258689
  7. https://www.si.com/nfl/2017/06/27/vince-young-cfl-saskatchewan-finances-bankruptcy-titans “I’d see a quarterback and be like, Dude is garbage, and I’m over here in the kitchen cooking turkey necks!?” “I hate to name-drop, but [Ryan] Fitzpatrick is still playing!? He leads the league in interceptions, and he’s still f------ getting paid? I mean, what the f--- is going on?” Because he can read defenses, make NFL throws and NFL decisions, even bad ones and you can't?
  8. wow. good find. would those teams have contended against NFL champs for superbowl? remind me when superbowls started?
  9. I agree. Dont read BuffaloDung News.
  10. I wonder what Chiefs' coaching staff sees in Mahomes now that he's been in the camp with them and that had anything to do with this Dorsey move to trade for him. at the time I thought he gave up a lot for a QB who's quite RAW. He could be one of those "he's 2 years away from being ready in 2 years"
  11. Strange. He was running out of cap space. But he did have a contender.
  12. Good stuff. This is also the reason why Gillislee had the numbers he did. That's why I wasn't worried about Gillie going to Pats for big $$.
  13. You don't seem to understand Beane's failings here. 1) the team isn't ready to compete for playoffs and we'd be close to having very little cap room had we signed him. So he SHOULDN'T HAVE PURSUED Maclin. Decision to pursue Maclin despite cap challenges, FAIL #1. So he made the bad decision, and goes for Maclin. Puts up similar money as Ravens on the table, same kind of guarantee. He didn't do a good enough job SELLING to Maclin that he'd be happier and more successful here in Buffalo. That's FAIL #2. Bean got lucky that his bad decision didn't result in a worse outcome for the team. Being LUCKY doesn't recuse him from his BAD DECISION and FAILURE TO LURE A FREE AGENT after deciding to go for it.
  14. Shareece was on GMFB show of NFL NETWORK. Watch VIDEO here: http://twitter.com/i/videos/tweet/874595461184626688
  15. To Beane: FAIL! To Maclin: Good for you! Flacco is the WAY BETTER QB. He had a better chance of getting more balls and more money with Flacco than with TT.
  16. First failure of the new regime. Nice start Beane!
  17. yes. same thought here. so his value isn't as high. his game must have dropped off quite a lot. I just don't remember any of his plays in recent years and I know I watched chiefs games a few times a year.
  18. This is what I've been saying in this thread. If we get Maclin, this is possibly the MOST POTENT offense Bills have had since Kelly's K-GUN days. Loaded in skill positions, add to that a VERY GOOD Offensive Line. We've never had it this good man! Now you all have to remember that when Dennison and Kubiak first went to Denver they TRIED to get TT as backup but Bills won out. They know something we haven't seen. So Dennison MAY KNOW how to get more out of TT in passing game, and that's MY BIGGEST HOPE for this season. It's not that McD will fix the discipline issues, or Watkins staying healthy, that last years' rooks will improve. It's that TT will improve given the obvious value Dennison and Kubiak placed on Tyrod.
  19. While we're on the subject, why don't we look at Cardale's strengths and weaknesses. Strengths: (PFF): Cannon for an arm. Can make tight-windowed throws that other quarterbacks would not even attempt Will cycle through reads at times and find the open man Shows touch, even if accuracy is inconsistent Keeps his eyes downfield when maneuvering around the pocket. Looking to pass and make a big play Flashes excellent accuracy on 1-5 yard passes, hit receivers in stride more than most Big body and athleticism make him difficult to tackle in our out of the pocket. Forced 37 missed tackles on 127 carries each of the last two years Bleacher Report: When asked to rip a deep ball, Jones shows remarkable placement and an understanding of timing and space. He excels at leading receivers down the field on throws of 20-plus yards and can drop the ball over the defense and into a bucket. His touch, arc and timing on deep passes is a sight to see.Canadian Fan: shows Poise and doesn't shy from big moments. Shines in big games. This is an intangible often overlooked by these reports. Weaknesses: PFF: Accuracy is all over the place, among the worst in the class at the most important ranges: six through 30 yards Bleacher Report: accuracy and decision-making. accuracy issues plaguing Jones can be explained by his mechanics. He doesn't square his feet, hips and shoulders when throwing from the pocket and too often trusts his arm to do the work his body could be doing for him to generate velocity. Jones' left hip (his back foot) is often turned away from the target and doesn't allow for a full torquing of his core when he throws. Given his struggles reading coverages on slants and crossing routes, Jones needs a crash course in QB 101. Basically, accuracy has to do with mechanics, and that equals COACHING. It can be taught, and fixed. He has to DO THE WORK in the off-season. Has he done enough this past off season?
  20. He's been reported missing since May 30th... has a history of violent incidents.... http://www.news-sentinel.com/news/local/updated_investigators_identify_dead_man_found_in_maumee_as_former_elmhurst_standout_james_hardy_20170608?profile=1008 Any memories of the guy as a bill?
  21. Maclin's agent is great at drumming up interest.
  22. I really thought we were going to draft a RB or sign an UDFA. Neither of those happened. I am puzzled by Beane's desire to add yet another veteran RB to this group when we should be looking for a reliable backup to Shady knowing Shady's injury history. There's a good chance we will pick up one in the pre-season so I wait for that move. But Fred is NOT that answer.
