  1. He did so due to the CTE study. http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/194836-cte-in-nearly-90-percent-of-football-players/?p=4441722
  2. http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/20170808/baltimore-ravens-offensive-lineman-john-urschel-retires-abruptly In a related story, Ravens OL John Urschel retired due to CTE study. He's the mathematician doing PhD in MIT on math. What he's going to find is, this impairment will come back later on. He is now more susceptible to even minor bodily jolts or shocks. His relative youth will negate the impact of this MTBI he suffered from football for now - he is still likely undergoing the last growth stage of the brain and that stage will help he not feel the impact of MTBI. And so, because of that he will think it is "cured" But he will feel its impact in adulthood. His mental faculties will get impaired from time to time. He is going to find that there will be times he can't understand his own work. He will feel confused and betrayed. And unable to grasp what is happening because you literally have mental short-wiring. I applaud him. This is John choosing the rest of his life - my guess is he still has 60-75 years more to live. Live well John.
  3. Note: Chargers traded for Cardale after they worked out RGIII. RGIII so done! LOL Ian Rapoport‏Verified account @RapSheetFollowing More The #Chargers gave up a late conditional pick to the #Bills for Cardale Jones, source said. They had worked out Robert Griffin III yesterday
  4. Jets sign former Cowboys WR Lucky.... The Farce is strong with Woody's Team. http://nypost.com/2017/07/26/jets-pick-up-wr-cowboys-cut-after-bizarre-mistaken-identity/ I'm sure Darnold will enjoy throwing to him next year.
  5. I knew he was on the move when Bills were looking at some unknown QB called McDade. Completely unfair. Why don't you come up with some logical rational proof instead of some stupid comment befitting grade 4 education? He has been more than good. Bills weren't the best but he sure as fak did more than a decent job. This was a SHYT team before he came on dude. Total BUFFALO DUNG talent. Only living on the legacy of Kelly years. TOTAL BUFFALO DUNG in terms of talent.
  6. Peterman isn't the hope for Bills. Next year's draft is.
  7. He did try. He is right, he put himself under a lot of pressure, and he's paid the price. Look at the hate you guys have for him. Bills have had worse coaches than him. HankBullshyt comes to mind immediately. I mean HORRIBLE coaches. Not even division III worthy. Let alone CFL.
  8. Yup, I figured! He has potential at TE. Or some sort of slash. New regime. New OC. Different type of offense. I guess someone saw him as a fit for some of his schemes.
  9. 16-0 LOL this was written by a Boston writer.
  10. It's not true. Thurman Thomas has CTE: http://nesn.com/2016/04/bills-legend-thurman-thomas-reveals-his-scary-sobering-cte-symptoms/ https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/thurman-thomas-my-brain-looks-like-it-went-through-a-car-windshield/ http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/15314750/former-buffalo-bills-star-thurman-thomas-says-mood-swings-concussions
  11. Absolutely. These people donated because they suspected they had it. However it is still a very high proportion, and validates what many are experiencing. Science is extremely behind in brain injury related issues. I and a friend who have MTBI have seen doctors and specialists. In some ways I knew much of what they know from my own research or more than they do. Tragically, there really isn't enough research funding being funneled into this. It isn't known as common a disease, and there is no "pill" that will cure it so medical companies can make huge profits off the research. Capitalism is a cruel bytch. As far as I know, the most money being spent on brain injury issues is being done by US military because so many vets come back with traumatic brain injuries.
  12. I bet you half of Western NY was there to the end of the game.
  13. Ah Rambo is back. So this would be Rambo III?
  14. That's my suspicion as well. They are turning over rocks to look for a better answer at QB, even for back-up or practice squad which I think this is most likely. And Yates has to be coach in waiting. Peterman is a flyer, and Jones is done here. We're picking QB again next year.
  15. There are a select few who have the genetic disposition for neuroplasticity. Their brain is able to repair itself better than others and functions as if it has not been damaged.
  16. Carr was excited for his former teammate He has a cannon! Good dude too! https://t.co/ceEVTcilb3 — Derek Carr (@derekcarrqb) https://twitter.com/derekcarrqb/status/889692246282350592 <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>[/twitter] Mike Garafolo‏Verified account @MikeGarafolo Following More Bills worked out QB Marcus McDade today. Backed up Derek Carr at Fresno. Played for Samsung Frankfurt Universe in Germany. Deep dig for Buf.[/twitter] He was listed anywhere from 6-2 to 6-4, 220lbs. can't find much stats on him this late at night. i'm gonna leave it for the rest of you. I wonder why they're looking at him. Can anyone can dig into this?
  17. that's great. what about the other WRs?
  18. I agree that Paxton's physique is better for NFL being that size. I have only seen the youtube vids of Paxton, and not game situations so I can't comment on his decision making and in-game play making abilities. I have seen Chad live. While Paxton's throws seem laborious Chad makes all kinds of throws all over the field and make them look easy. His release is quicker than Paxton's from what I recall. He played against tough competition and did well. He makes the throws he needs to and has very good on-field judgement. When you watch his games, the last name does not matter IMO. Obvious talent is there. I personally don't attach value, because he isn't Kelly's kid. If he was a son of Kelly's would be different for me. His size isn't ideal for NFL. But then that doesn't deter it, as seen by the likes of Brees and Wilson. But his handicap is his maturity. And it's a big handicap. I don't see him being able to find that maturity for a few years. Not when he's been like this for so long and he likely hasn't had anyone correcting his behavior being coddled as the only son or being worshipped as an elite QB. And NFL is intellectually demanding. I just don't know if he's got enough smarts to deal with complex offenses and defenses. When you look at elite QBs in NFL, there's no mistaking it - they have the intellect as well as physical tools. I don't know if he would have made it into business school like Peterman.
  19. That's cool. I thought you were going to say "being a Bills fan taught me how to endure pain in a one-sided relationship".
  20. Caught this on twitter: Polian's seen saying Chad Kelly's the most talented QB on Broncos' roster, and Herm Edwards seem to agree. They both also agree he has "A LOT OF " growing up to do. Ah talent, and its fruitful realization, two distinct things. Let's see if they come together for Chad over the next season or two. @ <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> Just rewatched NFL Live and caught this gem: per analysts: the most talented QB in Denver isn't Lynch or Siemian. Watch this👇 pic.twitter.com/YmufgXUbmt — Dianna Russini (@diannaESPN) July 20, 2017
  21. Back to the future for Carolina Panthers! They've hired back the GM who brought them Luke, Cam, etc.: @ Ian Rapoport‏Verified account @RapSheet Following More The #Panthers are finalizing a deal to hire former GM Marty Hurney as their new interim GM, source said. Will take them through 2017.
  22. Well I think a GM needs to have a firm grasp of the type of talent needed to have on the field. And the culture in the locker room. And the coaching talent needed to bring out the best talent. A GM also needs to understand the cap management and plan for that. And other administrative stuff. When I look at him, he didn't make his mark from having the accountability for evaluating any of the first part. Until now. That's a bit dangerous IMO. Yes, that's one of my original concerns and points I made which the other guy was refuting - talent evaluation is his big weakness (amongst other things), and so he surrounded himself with some of the best talent evaluators. If there is consensus amongst scouts, fine. If there isn't, then we are to rely on his judgement which was never developed for that? But this goes back to whether he has a vision for the team and the organization - as to which on-field talents work best together. And he never cut his teeth, earned his paycheck based on that. So how is he to have a "vision" for a future successful NFL talent or team when he never cut his teeth on it? So far from what we know, he's good at administrative side of things. And that he is likable. And that's how he got hired by Pegulas. They liked him. Again, underwhelming. So the picture I am getting is, yes he's an administrator. He's a manager. And ultimately, there is only one football guy between McD and Beane. And that's not Beane but McD. Let's see if that's enough.
