  1. Somehow I doubt any WR would prefer tight coverage to being wide open...
  2. plus he's training at a cabin in the woods with JJ
  3. Re: Ross, above, the 40 should have just been the icing on the cake. (The cake being his 81 rec, 1,150 yards, and 17 TDs in 2016)
  4. I hear you. Still, that's why guys like Boldin, who played against top competition, last until pick 54. I'm not advocating for doing away with the 40, but just think tape should be the golden standard regardless. Re: Williams, the reason he won match-ups frequently, from my understanding, is that he wins 50-50 balls, not because of his speed. Totally agree teams don't want unanswered questions, but can't-miss prospects are few and far between.
  5. The 40 time has become so overblown - how do these teams need more than Davis' years of solid tape? Give me Anquan Boldin's 4.7 everyday so long as it comes with his general physicality, willingness to go over the middle, and blocking/intangibles.
  6. Zach Brown. Also, Ryan FItzpatrick, Mario Williams, and Jairus Byrd.
  7. That's not fair: they've had so many more playoff games to score 30 points in. Any chance Mahomes falls to 44?
  8. 1 Davis - WR - Western Michigan 2 Tankersly - CB - Clemson 3 Evans - S - Texas A&M 5 Davis - DE - UT Chattanooga 5 Cannon - WR - Baylor 6 Evans - QB - Virginia Tech
  9. I'm on the more optimistic end of the spectrum with Taylor, but wow does that show something about the difficulty of winning a shootout without a franchise QB. The point was that running back can mean either fullback or halfback, but fullback and halfback are not the same thing.
  10. Guys I see as WR2s or better within their first year in the NFL: Corey Davis, Mike Williams, John Ross, JuJu Smith-Schuster, Zay Jones, & KD Cannon
  11. I'd be fine with either Taylor, Daniel, Jones or Taylor, Jones, Daniel.
  12. Agreed. Smart guy with size.
  13. Would make sense given Culley as QB coach.
  14. Yeah, Brady is a QB and McCoy is a HB.
  15. If it's QB1 Taylor, QB2 Jones, QB3 Kelly, then that is a situation in which he could take his time, learn, and commit himself to the game. None of us will be in the room when (not if) the Bills interview him. That's going to be the key analysis.
  16. Well he went in the 5th, but agreed re: steal.
  17. haha of course did you know that 2 HBs make a FB?
  18. Would not be opposed to using our 6th round pick.
  19. HB McCoy, Gillislee, Williams HB/FB Tolbert HB/WR Cadet FB DiMarco WR Watkins, no.
  20. Fanspeak w/ Matt Miller board: 1: R1P10 WR MIKE WILLIAMS CLEMSON 2: R2P12 S BUDDA BAKER WASHINGTON 3: R3P11 OT ANTONIO GARCIA TROY 4: R5P12 WR KD CANNON BAYLOR 5: R5P27 QB JEROD EVANS VIRGINIA TECH 6: R6P11 CB BRENDAN LANGLEY LAMAR (TX) I'll take it.
  21. While I agree with the overall thought, saying that we won't take a WR because we were bad at passing seems illogical because it would help the problem.
  22. That is crazy. Tougher to keep play at a higher level for CB than a lot of other positions at an older age
  23. Will be disappointed if no matching offer. Fill the pipeline should apply to all positions, not just QB. Why let go of the C heir apparent?
