  1. They pronounce it fine imo but I'm not listening to them real closely He's Samoan
  2. It's tough being patient when your offensive line is getting dumped in your lap every other down.
  3. Stafford already doesn’t vibe w him, they won’t take him out but if anyone is going to lose targets it will be Woods
  4. Imo the real loser here is Woods
  5. Jackson and Beckham Jr are very far from the same player.
  6. If you watch the Colts clip immediately afterwards you see a combo block between the backside guard and tackle where the guard reaches and stabs the DT to give the tackle time to get across and flip his hips to make the block. that’s how you zone block, at least in my experience. I have no idea what the bills were trying to do there but I don’t think it was a zone scheme.
  7. You know what, now that I watch that back a few times…that doesn’t really seem like a zone run by the Bills. It looks like a really poorly designed gap scheme that should have been zone blocked but wasn’t. Neither guard makes an attempt at doubling and nobody is really looking to disengage and get to second level. To my eye it looks like a miscommunication on the offensive line.
  8. I don’t think there is a LT in the league who’s going to be able to make that block. That’s a missed assignment on Boettger in zone, nothing Dawkins can do except get 15 for cutting the guy or block in the back.
  9. Yep 👍 that reach stab the Colts guard executes perfectly…Boettger not so much
  10. It’s usually because he can’t hide his disdain for Allen. Warner was a big wrong Josher.
  11. I’ve seen Brady a slight favorite most places. Allen firmly in the conversation. People don’t seem to realize it’s a season-long award, not a week 8 award. Although for my money the best value is Lamar Jackson
  12. And I'm saying unless you have evidence to the contrary, I'm not aware of any teams being particularly more or less adept than others at 'knowing what they need to do and failing (or succeeding)' over time.
  13. I don’t know how it breaks down by QB, but one of the predictive stats for season win totals is mean regression for teams with either a high or low win% in one score games the year prior…over the course of a regular season games decided by 8 points or fewer are a 50/50 proposition, statistically. Meaning basically there’s no real correlation from season to season of a team’s ability to win close games.
  14. Won’t watch anything Paul-related again bad for boxing imo and I’m a fan of the sport
  15. Couple points: our screen issues have little to do with Allen's hesitancy to throw them (slow on screen passes is not a thing) and more about lacking enough athleticism along the oline to sell a block and release with any kind of proficiency. The WR screens will work sometimes in certain looks, usually when the opposing safeties are off and corners are in man. That's more about Diggs' and Beasley's (former) ability to wiggle loose than any great play design or good blocking, however. Any design that has Diggs on a shallow cross and Sanders a post isn't going to need Allen to hold either safety off because he wouldn't be responsible for both of those routes.
  16. The final play is what happens when you have completely and deservedly lost all faith in your protection.
  17. You literally cannot play quarterback well when your line is that poor. It’s like an NFL truism.
  18. 9 rushing attempts for 21 yards from the backs when you need to establish playaction to keep the defensive front honest against a makeshift oline. 47 pass attempts in a 9-6 loss. Is Allen calling the plays too?
  19. Are you guys under the impression that gambling on the NFL is a new thing?
  20. Can you clarify the defensive timeout statement? Are you saying the other team often converts after McDermott's defensive timeout, and then in your next sentence ask someone to look up whether teams often convert after McDermott's defensive timeouts?
