It’s pretty subjective but I try to take a bunch of different factors into account…scheme, surrounding talent, stats I give more credibility to, eye test etc
I think it's pretty easy to argue that NFL military appreciation week is 'political' or politically affiliated. The league has no real reason to align themselves with the military, unlike the Army-Navy game which is played by actual military academies and personnel.
To clarify- you don't see NFL coaches wearing camo and warplanes flying overhead before kickoff as overtly political, and at the same time you're worried that the NY Times may inject politics into the Athletic's journalism? Do I have that right?
