  1. meh i walked off both mine tried to keep playing on the first one actually
  2. it's also hard for oline guys to hold blocks that long which is probably why a guy like chris clemons could go from a nobody to averaging double digit sacks when he had that secondary behind him...i mean i can't remember any seattle dlineman going on to do anything of note post legion of boom
  3. i was disagreeing w your contention that great corners cant make defensive lines look better revis did it for like a decade. it's so much easier to play defense when you can eliminate one half of the field
  4. ok if you think what was special about those seahawks teams was the front7 that's your perogative
  5. then stop trying to conflate the two 'spending draft capital'≠drafting a player
  6. red bryant and brandon mebane 😂😂 agree to disagree chiefs are piling up trophies w some good some not so good lines. not a lot of super bowls between the ravens and steelers lately
  7. id argue recent history is not the clear picture you make it out to be, esp considering SB winners i mean the browns and colts have had great olines the past what like 5+years and sherman along w help from earl thomas and kam chancellor absolutely made their dline look better than they were
  8. if your threshold for ignored is spent zero picks on offense then again yes, it hasn't been ignored. im saying that's a patently ridiculous premise and comparing league averages is very clearly the correct way to analyze their investments
  9. no. what's disingenuous is when people try to equate trading a first round pick for a player and drafting a player w a first round pick. cap issues aside (not insignificant), the diggs trade is a perfect example of what im talking about- using your most valuable draft asset in a given year on a good-not-great up and coming wideout instead of taking a chance on drafting a rookie...it's the safe play instead of taking a swing. those two strategies aren't equivalent
  10. Look I don't want to derail this into a coaching thing but what is the point of having a HC w defense background and spending all your top picks on defense WHILE refusing to hire top offensive staff? How is that smart resource allocation?
  11. i mean leaguewide that's got to be the most lopsided ratio or close to lol this is so drought mentality why not grab a superstar and let other teams worry about guarding him?
  12. yup a whopping seven 1-3rd round picks on the Dline alone since we drafted QB if my count is right, including one top10 pick in Oliver pass catchers a total of 2, nothing higher than the pick#25 priorities priorities
  13. i mean yes we have drafted offensive players im just saying maybe try spending some of the better picks on guys who catch passes, specifically wrs...i don't think that's so controversial sure if you factor in the opportunity cost of missing Jefferson
  14. He's really good Hed start for quite a few teams in the league imo
  15. It's not complicated at all Jamarr Chase probably doesn't drop the bomb to Diggs and we have a better shot at beating the Chiefs and going to a SB in 2023 LaPorta probably doesn't drop the throw to Kincaid and we have a better shot at beating Chiefs and going to a SB in 2024 Granted he was drafted after Kincaid but the point is there's nothing wrong w wanting to get better at skill positions, especially when you have a multiplier at QB
  16. So I've never done my Achilles but I saw a few in person and I think the difference is how weird the leg feels...your calf sort of rolls up into itself and you can't really move the foot so you just feel like something is wrong ACL feels bad too but not maybe as apparent there is something seriously amiss so why not try to walk it off The ones that really need stretchers are those compound ankle fracture+dislocation where the heel is pointing sideways...seen a couple of those too and it's a look away type injury
  17. heck id wager he's invested less at WR than most modern NFL front office in history And I think we agree that having to overcome lack of top end talent wideout is not something to hang your hat on. Requiring never before seen efficiency to compete offensively is not sustainable
  18. pretty sure the Ravens have drafted Bateman, Flowers, AND Hollywood Brown all in the first round since taking Lamar
  19. you're not going to do any more damage to a ruptured achillies limping away either level of assistance received departing the field of play is not a meaningful diagnosis
  20. we're talking about the same Cook, right there are like 3 rbs in the league that are essential to their offense. james cook is not one of them sorry
  21. that has not been my experience having done both knees yes you can easily walk w a torn ACL but to say there is no pain (or at least major discomfort) when the ruptured ligament is bleeding into the joint and filling it up w blood...it's not fun
  22. we still have davis and johnson. there is no scenario where James Cook is your make or break player
  23. Little off topic but I could see a SB victory w out Cook contributing pretty easily tbh That's why for me you can't pay RBs...he's a nice piece not a centerpiece
