  1. Yes this is the optimistic take however...I am not sure we can rely on turnovers to remain stable, there is a significant luck factor to them the sacks and QB pressures should be reliable, but the turnovers inform ppg so if they trend toward average ppg will likely increase not discounting injuries as a factor but those guys aren't coming back anytime soon and again I believe the defense was pretty overrated coming into Jags, they just proved it
  2. Offense remains elite 3rd in the league across the board in points, yards/play, net passing YPA 7th in first downs
  3. He's using what Josh Allen did in the past, hence the 2021 reference, to explore what he might do the rest of this year i don't know why we are arguing this
  4. high energy is a good way of putting it imo they've been reliant on the sacks and turnovers, first in the league in both...imo sacks can be relied upon but we all know turnovers have a big luck component this is a defense dependent on the big play more than anything else right now, it has not been 'good' imo
  5. the entire point of that article is using past years performance to predict this seasons outcome
  6. "Their most realistic chance of winning the Super Bowl came in 2021 when the offense was unstoppable and playing a mostly perfect game in one way or another over the season’s final month." there is a close to zero chance the offense plays as well as they did during the end of 2021 and wasn't even enough to get them out of the divisional round
  7. Here are two stats I want you to think about re the Bills defense rn 27th in opponents net yards/play 31th in opponents rush yards/attempt
  8. Did they also happen to mention the Jags ran for 200yards on us😂😂
  9. vt.com lol
  10. Maybe But I'm pretty sure I could comb thru a Chiefs or Lions game and find a similarly poorly spaced play design here or there My position on the offense remains they're doing the best they can wrt personnel Just a guess
  11. what do you mean
  12. That's got to be on Knox
  13. Bummer for the kid, he is fun to watch
  14. Can't get over the fact that the Chiefs were able to beat them only scoring 17 tbh Doesn't make sense
  15. im not down on diggs at all
  16. of course you'd just like to think in a competition between Stefon Diggs and Darious Williams you could predict the winner w some regularity
  17. would have been better it it was a catch
  18. Diggs had less momentum going away from the ball than the DB the defender winning a header is usually similarly advantaged unless you are going up against a freak like Lukaku or Haaland or Drogba the defender is always in a better spot because he has less momentum going away from the ball at the catch moving away from the direction of the pass is the disadvantage
  19. i was going to use a soccer analogy- on long goal kicks the defender usually has leverage being the deeper guy, in this situation diggs would be in the defender's position
  20. Completely different catch
  21. Which one was that?
  22. Yes that's my point AJ Brown would have just ripped the ball off the defenders head, Jefferson would have knifed it from between his hands, Hill would have backflipped over the DB and caught it between his legs or something Diggs is a very explosive in short areas/surgical precise footwork/sticky hands kind of guy but he's not going to just beast out and physically dominate the contested catch situation, and tbh I don't expect him to because that's not really his game
  23. I'm saying there are guys who have the strength to make that catch at a certain frequency and imo Diggs isnt one of them, his strengths lie elsewhere
  24. I remember the Rams game couple yrs back they gave the INT where receiver (think it was Knox but not sure) and DB both came down w the ball too And yes for all intents and purposes that was a punt
