I find absolutely and literally no humor in any of these.

Yes, 1000 times yes. The Luck O' the Bills put them in this mess in the one draft where there was nothing available at the position they needed most. The criticism for the Watkins trade is threefold IMO. They took a play making WR before they had a QB that could take advantage of his abilities. They gave up a precious #1 pick. Watkins has yet to prove his worth. We do have to remember the uncertainty surrounding the team due to RW's passing. IMO that helped push Whaley into making the Watkins trade.

Well, penalties would be the first thing that comes to mind.

I think that the point must be that: Elite QB's infrequently have bad games, sometimes have average games and frequently are amazing. Good QB's have bad & good games with some frequency. Average QB's frequently have bad games, they have some good games too. Below average QB's have bad games with high frequency and they rarely have good games.
