  2. Not really. Jerrah's new stadium swallows noise, Seahawks stadium enhances noise.
  3. Hindsight though. Would we be having this conversation if Ralph didn't pass?
  4. The new stadium must be multiple use. It will undoubtedly add to the initial costs but it will help pay for itself.
  5. AT&T stadium (Arlington, TX) has only 12,000 parking spaces in 15 lots. Of those 15 lots 10 allow tailgating. Of those 10 that allow tailgating it is allowed on the outside perimeter of the lot only. The parking space must have a grass area behind it. Parking is by permit only. That's pretty restrictive. Buffalo will not have the space concerns of a major metropolitan area. Unless the stadium is placed in an area where space is at a premium I would expect that the tailgating tradition will continue.

  8. Pearl is a one trick pony. I remember one post of his last season that was almost positive. He quickly corrected the error later in the same thread.

  13. I love first downs, I don't care how they come about. I do not think that a WR can make his mark in the NFL running screens & sweeps, end arounds etc. The kids game will have to change. Hopefully he's up to it. Like I said upthread...seems to have terrific hands & is a willing blocker.
  14. Slants isn't how he was used at Auburn (based on those two games and everything I've read about him). He ran screens and carried the ball more than he caught the ball downfield. THAT is a recipe for disaster. (and that's what I assumed you were referring to)
  15. If they do then they are idiots and Watkins will have a short career.

  17. If he wasn't asked to do it how do you know? Even Nanker's highlight reel had only 1 play v. Georgia that was not a screen or go route. Where are the highlights of him where he's actually asked to run routes? After watching both of those it is obvious that he has terrific hands. Whether he can run routes??? So, two highlight reels...one catch that was not a screen or go...
  18. OK, I finally watched a Watkins highlight reel. This did nothing to dispel what I've read about him. He caught 2 balls on what were basically "go" routes. All other catches were at/behind the LOS. He carried the ball a bunch of times. Personally I don't want my #1 WR exposed to the pounding that NFL DE's and LB's will give him if he's handed the ball. Maybe you give him the ball 3-4 times in a season just to keep the opposing defense on its toes, but, I would not mind one little bit if he never carried the ball (on a hand off) for Buffalo. He does snatch the ball out of the air beautifully, but, he will not "make a living" in the NFL on receptions at/behind the LOS. He looks like he's a willing & decent blocker based on that game.
