  1. Just ordered your book. I’m 89 and went to my first game at age 12. Bills vs.Browns and of course we lost. Been a rabid fan all these years and my family keeps urging me to write a book like yours. I didn’t have many notes or a good memory (now)so I am so anxious to read your book. Judging from your contributions to two bills drive I’m sure it will be memorable! Thanks so much for doing it.
  2. I’m a retired MD and I wonder if he might have sudden onset of a herniated disc since there was no obvious injury and out of the blue he is put on IR
  3. Should we blow this game the pats will be only 1 game behind us in the division with the tiebreaker and a much easier schedule and a rematch in Foxboro. Their rookie running back is a concern as are their punt and kickoff returners. Tough game coming up. We should win but the consequences of a loss are huge!
  4. Any word on who is backing up Taron and how did they look?
  5. I thought Bernard was better than a lot of these guys
  6. And remember Bob Kalsu The Bills lineman who was the only pro athlete killed in Vietnam
  7. Thanks.. let’s hope he turns out to be a diamond in the rough
  8. What’s the story with Wande Owens featured in the BN today? ( paywall can’t read)
  9. Signed by the Texans for 7th round pick
  10. Is Fields injured? I couldn’t believe that they didn’t use him at least a few times when the threat of the QB running was obvious.
  11. I think that was the beloved Hank Bulloch
  12. A great summary Shaw. As someone who has been fan since 1948 I think the job McD and Beane have done this year with all the turnover and injuries on defense have defied all expectations both of gurus and even the most rabid fans. He won't get it but McD deserves Coach of the Year. We are very lucky to have him
  13. Sunny but cool and quite windy ??special teams problems kicking and maybe catching…
  14. Actually , I misspoke ,After 76 years it clearly must be genetically determined and incurable!
  15. My Dad was what was known as a country family doctor in the old days. He was born in Florida to German immigrant parents but grew up in Springville then went to Canisius and UB med school. He was thoroughly Buffalo blooded but worked day and night and didn’t spend much time with his kids but one day in the fall of 1948 said we’re going to a football game in Buffalo. As a 12 year old country bumpkin I knew next to nothing about football but when we got to the old rockpile with thousands of screaming fans watching the Bills take on Otto Graham and the mighty Cleveland Browns I was hooked! Of course, we lost but by perpetually waiting till next year even my grandkids who are young adults who grew up in Patriot country are avid fans. The disease is contagious!
