  1. The biggest issue with Whaley was that he was never on the same page with his coaches. Whoever they hire better share the same vision.
  2. I agree with your assessment. IMHO, Williams just doesn't scream elite and isn't great value at 10. I am hoping the Bills can find a trade partner and trade down for more picks.
  3. I must be in the minority. I seem to enjoy Sully's rants and for the most part I concur with his articles. As mentioned, Whaley deserves plenty of blame. However, the blame travels upward and downward. OBD remains dysfunctional and yet so many here refuse to acknowledge it. I suppose its more fun to be optimistic? I tend to look at the picture in a macro point of view. My biggest problem with Whaley is his inability and ineffectiveness to bring unity to the team. In fact, I think he has created and promoted instability. As I have stated before, the team needs to share the SAME vision and game plan to build a winner. That clearly hasn't happened under Whaley's tenure.
  4. I'd say 7-9 is about right. I do think its another year of missing the playoffs. I am taking bets if anyone thinks otherwise.
  5. We have needs at every position except RB. We simply aren't that good of a team. First word that pops into my head is MEDIOCRITY.
  6. Next, we are going to get Tebow. Now its starting to make sense....
  7. Does this make us the favorite to take down the Patriots? I can't wait to see more. On the road to the playoffs and more.....Go Bills
  8. I am liking most of the moves the Bills are making. I think they are filing needs with some quality guys. Go Bills.
  9. No, he is overrated and disappears for games at a time. Without Drew B he is not all that special.
  10. I think he will be taken way earlier than he should be. I am hoping it isn't Buffalo at 10...
  11. Gunner, great response. I respect your opinion and knowledge. Glad we can be civil when we disagree. Oh Thurman. You are so right. Way too early to tell and of course I can be dead wrong. That's the beauthy of this forum....
  12. There are no franchise QB's in this draft. Teams will chase this year just like last year. No thanks to chasing Watson. His shortcomings are well documented. This style of QB rarely transforms into a franchise QB. Give me the accurate, quick release, and great vision QB . That QB doesn't exist in this draft. Gunner, with respect, I think you are way off.
  13. I'd rather just keep Taylor. You know what your getting with Smith and it's not a franchise QB. He won't be cheap either. TT has room to grow and develop perhaps into a better QB than Alex Smith. Alex Smith just doesn't get me excited. I will pass.
  14. If the Bills reach and draft this guy at 10 we will be laughed at just like the EJ pick. This guy is a 3rd rounder at best. Stop trying to make this guy something he's not.
  15. I wouldn't be surprised if Whaley makes some moves on draft day. I like the idea of us moving up or down and not just being stagnant like past GM's. Granted, he has made some errors that seem to be inexcusable. However, he has made some pretty good moves as well. Both are well documented. This organization is poorly run and Whaley has to shoulder some of the blame.
  16. Generally, I like Whaley but as noted he has made some glaring mistakes. I'm not going to rehash them. EJ sucked at FSU and his chances of being a franchise QB was miniscule. I would not have had any problem if they took him in the fourth round similar to Jones. If the Bills select a QB at 10 it will be a reach in my eyes. Will the reach be worth it?
  17. At this point, I'd be fine with taking a shot with him too. Nothing to really lose and a whole lot to gain.
  18. I disagree. I feel like he is overhyped by his championship win. Even in that game he was quite inconsistent with his passes and decision making. He is nowhere near being pro ready. Of course, he has upside and I can be wrong. IMHO, I wouldn't come close to taking him in the first round. No thanks...
  19. I hear you on drafting a QB. My problem is there is no QB in this class that's worthy of the number 10 pick. No doubt a QB will be taken before that because of the value of the QB position and the desperation of teams to find their franchise QB. Kizer - just not impressed when I saw him play. Big arm very slow eyes and vision. No thanks. Watson - When has this type of QB been very successful? I want a pocket passer with great vision, quick release, and accuracy. I don't see these necessary qualities in Watson. Good work ethic and good legs only goes so far...No thanks Mahomes - Pretty raw and needs time to develop. Played against many porous defenses that made him look really good. Need to be more accurate, better field vision and decision making. Will need at least two years to develop and learn. Should be a late 2nd to 3rd round pick. Yes, to a second round pick. Trubisky - Small sample size to look at. Kid seemed to panic when pressured. Played mostly in the shotgun. Has big upside but IMHO he is greatly overhyped. I can see why people are high on him. He will most likely be gone before 10. I feel like he should be taken late in the first round. This QB class really doesn't excite me.
  20. I agree. The sad thing is the Bills having very little at the QB spot and he might sadly be worthy of a look.
