  1. Son of a biscuit - DON'T MAKE ME TURN THIS CAR AROUND!
  2. I noticed that Buddy took a lot of team captains last year. Not sure if that's one of the things he looks for, or if the talent level of many NFL draft picks is such that they would naturally be leaders at lower levels. Either way, seemed like a good idea to me.
  3. Not to pick on your post, just using it to respond to the thread in general. I'm not sure if you think this is a good idea or not, because you've listed some of the reasons I think it's a bad idea. Ditka's trade of his entire draft and the next year's top pick? He went three years there with losing seasons and got fired. You think there's some holes on defense? LOL, take a snapshot of the starting D and the starting O on the field. Then photoshop out the players who are not what would be considered solid, good, dependable starters with empty grass space, and you will get a visual of what the Bills are fielding every week. I'm not talking pro-bowlers, obviously - just good players. There's a lot of green out there, isn't there? In my picture, Fitz is still on the field. Great? Nope, but IMHO not an empty space. You don't fill those empty spaces, you don't win. If you have all those empty spaces, and a good (not great) QB, you're not in a position to trade away your capability to fill them. For some reason this discussion reminds me of shiny new expensive cars parked in front of crappy rentals or trailers.
  4. I think I'd rather go bicycling with George Bush. Maybe snack on some pretzels afterwards.
  5. And he will be canceling the hunting trip with Mr Cheney.
  6. Leather helmet, no facemask. More broken noses and lost teeth, but less concussions and neck injuries.
  7. Kids who are having a rough go of it, whether it's bullies, or home life, and they feel like there's nowhere to turn, and it will never end, will sometimes end it themselves. These kids were bullied for being gay. Maybe they were, maybe not, and it was just a convenient bully tactic. Asher Brown, 13 Seth Walsh, 13 Billy Lucas, 15 Maybe you help someone. Get the word out. This project is directed at gay teens, but any kid being bullied would benefit from similar words of encouragement. It gets better.
  8. Number 1, it happened decades ago, and who cares what they put in their display case? And B, I'm totally down with a raid to take it out. Who's in?
  9. That's ridiculous. The correct answer is Jumpin' Jack Flash.
  10. I once had a close call with death, and my life flashed before my eyes. The parts of myself and all the people I've ever known in my life, including the female roles, were played by Michael Caine and Gene Hackman.
  11. The best time to kick a man is when he's down. He's right there where your feet are.
  12. On the bright side, if he gets one more foul ball, he'll finally have a pair.
  13. So much more than that, Chris. So much more than football. The reason some of us have held up football players as heroes is because some of them are in real life.
  14. I love that everyone is giving this guy a hard time about being armed at the LA Coliseum twenty years ago. News Flash - there were probably, oh, maybe ONE or TWO gang-affiliated Raiders fans at that game who were carrying. LA is not a quiet midwestern town. It's Tommy Lee Jones. He caught the one-armed man. Cut him some slack.
  15. The movie actually isn't any good. Nor did it do well at the box office. They just put those ideas in your heads while you were sleeping.
  16. The earth's climate changes. If you want to convince me Man has any effect on this, IMHO you're not smart, or you're lying. Sorry to be blunt about it, but I don't have much patience for either.
  17. Sounds like a riptide. Waves come in to the beach, water recedes back into the sea. But sometimes it channels together, and it's force is not one you will escape by swimming against it toward the beach. Very quickly you will find yourself far from the beach and getting further out at an alarming rate. You have to swim parallel to the beach to escape the riptide, then you will be able to return to the beach. Beaches are nice. Oceans can be scary.
  18. Not all of us. Former USAF Korean language Cryptologic Linguist Technician, served over 10 years there. Several hundred friends from the same background. Lots of Korean wives and half-Korean kids amongst our group. Also happen to have a good friend/neighbor who was USMC, fought his way out from the Chosin Reservoir as a young man. It's the forgotten war, but not by us.
  19. Quoted from the original link: Between 2002 and 2006 more jaywalkers were hit by vehicles on Rainier Avenue South than in any other corridor in the city. During that period, 61 pedestrians were struck while jaywalking on Rainier Avenue South -- nearly double the number of accidents on Aurora Avenue North, which had the second highest number of jaywalkers hit with 35, according to Seattle Transportation Department records. Also during that period, 23 other jaywalkers were hit in the South End, on Martin Luther King Jr. Way South and on Beacon Avenue South. Those roads also accounted for 126 pedestrian accidents at intersections. There were six jaywalking accidents on Aurora Avenue North in the several blocks south of North 125th Street between 2002 and 2006, tying that short stretch of roadway with Rainier Avenue South between South Hudson Street and 39th Avenue South for the highest number of jaywalking collisions in the city.
  20. I used to ride once in a while with this guy Jim. He was new to bikes, had the same model metric as I do, so taught him basic maintenance, how to change the oil, etc. Not real bright, but seemingly a nice guy. Nice wife, two kids. Jim stopped coming around after a while. Saw him later with his new bike, an HD that had been made into a rat bike. Didn't see Jim again for a long time. Until one morning last fall on the news. Jim apparently was now a prospect for the Warlocks. Some dude started some crap in a bar that he and the Warlocks were in, the Warlocks chased the dude out. Dude knocks over one of the Warlock's bikes (not Jim's) on purpose with his truck on the way out of the lot. Jim gets the plaza/lot security guard to give him a ride in his truck to give chase. They catch up to him in a gas station, Jim shoots the dude in the back of the head, killing him. I don't know any more about it, and I'm not going to speculate. But I have no friggin' use for 1%ers. None. http://www.wesh.com/news/20935067/detail.html
  21. Damn straight. And to the death-penalty opponents, I can only argue that some people needs killin'. I'm not interested in any cost arguments. This is not about cost. She kidnapped, raped/tortured, then killed a little girl. Put her the F down. Whatever suffering she may endure being incarcerated for whatever period of time it turns out to be is not a proper result for her actions.
  22. Do not throw your soda at Ron Artest.
  23. You need a wayback machine. This is not going to have all pages, so you may not find it here. But if you put twobillsdrive into the search, you will find quite a few pages saved throughout the years. If you look around the same timeframe as when you posted, you might find it. Wayback machine
  24. lol, I was wondering that myself.
