  1. I honestly thought we'd get a break this week on this kind of crap.
  2. McDermott's defense isn't going to collapse. If yesterday's point explosion is a portent of things to come, there isn't a loss left on the schedule. They should bury the jests on Thursday and have all the walking wounded good to go for NO at home 10 days later. KC at Arrowhead is doable and even the patsies***. Even a worst case of KC, patsies*** at home, 1 phish and 1 more aberration puts them at 10-6.
  3. Quit beating on T-Bomb. You either want knowledgeable posters to make their predictions in the preseason, and then back them up with sensible statements; or this becomes a feel good safe place to hide from reality. Anybody who looked at this team on sept 1st and prognosticated more than 5-6 wins was dreaming in technicolor. Revisionist history is a wonderful thing, or so it seems.
  4. Great observations (as usual), but what is this looseness of which you speak???
  5. Thanks Ice. Got the jests on Thursday night.
  6. Over the last few weeks I have watched the folks here give you a pretty rough time with every post you make and have tried to give you the benefit of the doubt. This, however, is quite possibly the dumbest attempt at a serious statement I have ever read, anywhere. 1st blowout loss??? You think there will be at least one and probably more? This team has shown no sign of letting that happen at any point this year even once, let alone multiple times. KC SB team??? Looked to me over the last two weeks more like a choke in progress. "Bad loss"??? What the hell is a good loss? Miami a playoff team??? If that caliber of play is what will define this year's playoffs, I'm going to spend my time watching soccer.
  7. The Walking Wounded Three and Out Punting Well Count Chokeula
  8. Yep, and thank God for the rednecks. See a problem and fix it. They won't throw out a jersey that cost a significant part of a weekly paycheck. Inspiration and creativity. The message is clear, the method is straight forward.
  9. This has always been my thoughts as well. Ice, you forgot to add both are small market teams with fan bases not restricted to geography. And why wait till next year. Both teams could rumble, stumble, and bumble their way to the show now. Would be the greatest, most improbable SB ever. One for the ages.
  10. Putting Carr on his back five or six times fixes our secondary issues.
  11. Welcome back Ice. Beginning to look like Buffalo Bills' weather. This one's all on the coaches. They scheme it right and it won't be close. Get the wind chill down in the 30s and the sunshine boys will think they're freezing off things that don't grow back. Crabtree may be alright but Cooper's a 'Bama guy and he's about to find out what happens when you stub a frozen finger on a pass with some zip in it. And that signature win they've been crowing about all week over on their boards took 3 tries with no time on the clock to get done. More worried about the jersey jests than these clowns.
  12. Nobody here is going to be comfortable with Tyrod for the same reason nobody is willing to accept this is a good Bills team and Tyrod scares the hell out of opposing DCs. 17 years of underperformance for the Bills and 2 years of barely adequate QB play from Tyrod has everybody, including Taylor's biggest supporters playing the wait and see game. There's no bias here, it's a defense mechanism. We've all had enough disappointment to last a lifetime. Better get ready for every game from here on out to be like week 17 and needing the win to make the post season. Being loveable losers was so much easier on the cardiovascular system.
  13. Last I saw the forecast said rain and 50 degrees. Don't know if that's enough to affect anything either good or bad.
  14. By the time we play the patsies*** this year in Buffalo we'll either be hanging on by our fingernails or getting ready to b****slap them to the curb. The raiders, chiefs and even the phish are bigger games than the brady bunch.
  15. Working from memory, which is why I said "I think" but that wasn't wins and losses, it was drives. Probably should have kept my mouth shut as there is no way to prove it.
  16. Nobody expects perfection. Everybody has a right to expect competence in all phases of his craft, and that includes situations like last Sunday. Down by 7 4th quarter winding down and the ball in his hands. He's done it 3 times(I think) in two and a half years versus 17 attempts. And that, my friends, is a deal breaker.
  17. Somebody who knows what the hell they're doing with this kind of stuff needs to start a poll on what scenario of wins and losses gets folks to buy into the playoffs.
  18. My feeling exactly, but I think the disappointments of the past are coloring our opinions of a damn good football team. I think we're afraid of success.
  19. You make great good sense Webster, all except for the championship thing. I'll wait to see how they handle the raiders. Solid game plan from Dennison, consistency from Tyrod, a solid game from McCoy, O'Leary and Thompson and a couple of TOs and maybe we can start to think about the post season. This may not be toughest game of the year but it is the watershed game of 2017. Win this one, no matter if it's 1 point or 20, and all the rest are better than just winnable and the division is within reach.
  20. I'm no expert, but how is coaching up a bunch of unknowns to play solid, fundamental team defense "flash in the pan"?
