Got to give my gameball to Beth Mowins. It takes a dedicated effort to make me mute a football game. Good job out there.

Jets expected to fire Todd Bowles
CommonCents replied to CommonCents's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You’re on the same page as me, I think. Bowles wasn’t a tire fire, if being judged by what he had to work with. Losing the OC who protected Darnold earlier in the season and then helped him develop chemistry with Anderson and others, is a win for everyone else in the AFC East. -
Jets expected to fire Todd Bowles

It’s a team from the same division as the Bills. It’s certainly worth a discussion. Much more important than any mock drafts and player over player decisions when it’s still December. I’m willing to bet that anyone that understands good teams from bad ones is paying attention to this. My guess is the Jets go for an offensive minded coach, Mike McCarthy back in green? I think Bowles was pretty good until the team quit on him. The OC looked the part, I wonder what happens with him. -
I like Bama-40 lol. 5’9 quarterback my ass!

Per NFL.com I think the Jets are ahead of Buffalo in the rebuild process but this might be a mistake.

4 year, $36 million extension for Quincy Enunwa

Cook is another option. Philly is in the perfect sell high position with Zach Ertz. They have a stud behind him, his cap hit is about to triple and they are against the cap. Before this season Eagles fans assumed he would be cut heading into 19’. He spent a fair amount of his time in Philly injured and that explains the selection of Goedert. I’m not certain he will be moved but it won’t be long until we hear his name being floated. My guess is the initial reports will say they want a first rounder. It would probably take a second and a few other middle rounders. -
I'll take a shot at the 2019 offense FA's

When Anderson has his head screwed on straight he is a top 10 WR in this league. I’d love him in Buffalo but the Jets have to keep him. -

The spacing created by the Tampa WR group is a good part of his success. He would be a nice number 4. Find a legit TE. D.K. Foster TE Humph Those pieces compliment each other and that’s a group that gives Allen a fighting chance. The Bills can’t head into next season with Croom as their starting TE. Pony up picks for Ertz, press the Colts and see which one of the three tight ends they would part with. Aim for Mo Alie Cox, he played BBall at VCU and in his first year in the NFL he looks light years ahead of Logan Thomas and his six year transitional plan. -

Isn’t he a RFA? I can’t see the Jets letting him get away, he has looked good with Darnold. He is running inside of Evans, Godwin and has Brate and Howard out there also. Many times that leaves him with a favorable matchup, that’s my concern with him. How good would he be when he is surrounded by guys like Zay freaking Jones. -

He has been hurt most of the year, with that being said I still wouldn’t have paid him that much. They might be looking at it differently. They can lock up Anderson and they have a young TE that is playing well. The three of them compliment each other well and spending the money to surround Darnold is the smart approach. -
Trades will be Beane's main focus, not free agency

His cap hit jumps up in 19’. They drafted a stud TE last season. They have the worst cap situation in the league. Moving Ertz would be the prudent thing for them to do and it won’t be long until you hear that they are “listening” to offers. -

Glad he announced it now so he can get a proper send off. Thanks for everything you have done in Buffalo and at LSU. -
Can we be the 2018 bears in 2019?

Atleast that many. It’s not reasonable to expect a leap like the Bears made. Maybe in 2020. -

I don’t like the comparison. The strength of the Bears D is their front 7. The strength of the Bills D is the secondary. The Bears have two capable young backs who compliment each other well, the Bills have two old backs who look toast. The Bears have an NFL caliber oline, the Bills oline couldn’t block a grandma from the clearance rack. Nagy/McD totally different style of football and that is reflected most by their QBs. Trubisky is being set up with short creative concepts, the Bills keep bringing in more speed so Allen can chuck it deep. The only similarities I see are both teams having mobile quarterbacks. The rest is a reach, probably trying to get your hopes up that the team will make a similar turn around with a 2nd year QB. -

Zach Ertz should be that #1 trade target for OBD. -
One guy just sat out an entire season, he plays RB, wants to be paid as a high tier WR, was once nicknamed Lazeon Bell. Another guy has been plagued by injuries, never lived up to his draft status, coasted in college to protect his own stock, his only good season comes when he is due to hit FA. The other guy is top 10 in frequent flyer miles in Goddell’s drug rehab program. Ink them up, starters off the bus, I see no risks with these guys.

Lindsay is on the extreme end of the value chart and folks will easily dismiss that as luck but it isn’t hard to find a productive back.
