  1. Don’t pat your back to hard you might break your hand.
  2. Packers Bahtkari got carted off yesterday.
  3. My highlight was when he commented on the Eagles fans spending money they could have saved just so they could enjoy the moment with him. Always liked Dawkins. That Eagles team was on tv all the time while growing up.
  4. I never had high hopes for him but I thought he would look more explosive running with the ball. Time will tell I guess.
  5. From the highlights I saw this morning his legs aren’t as explosive as TT’s, forget about Vick.
  6. He described the play on Hurst.
  7. He is a great player, it’s a tough decision no doubt about it. I just see all that talent and I’m not limiting my cap for a DT. He was on the field when the Falcons held the ball for 38 minutes in the playoff game. The players listed above look more like a cautionary tale than anything else. I thought they were better off with Johnson but that’s Snead’s guy and pairing him with Talib for two years is a power move. He is a gambler and that seems to fit the identity of the Rams. Splash plays galore. Can they win that way in the playoffs? It’s going to be fun watching them try.
  8. People keep mentioning Phillips, is it true he has only taken snaps with the 3rd team? If so they should halt the hype train.
  9. 36 year old LT who single handily has the most impact of any olineman in the entire NFL last season. Gurley got paid. Marcus Peters contract jumps up next season because it’s his fifth year option and he will need a LTD soon. Goff will cash in. Talib is at 11/m this year then 8/m next year. That’s money spend and well worth it. They can’t pay Peters, Goff, Donald, Joyner etc.
  10. Right. I didn’t see the game but from rewatching the plays that got flagged only one of those flags looks legit. All the other flags would change the game entirely. I’d hate to be a safety and to be thinking instead of reacting when a Gronk train is coming at me full speed.
  11. Each situation is different, the Bucs had Brad Johnson as QB and the most he made in a single year for his entire career was 8.5 million. That team was built differently than the Rams. They have the pieces for an offensive juggernaut in a league that continues to hamper the the abilties of defenders. In this situation I think it makes more sense to keep all the other pieces and let the big guy walk.
  12. I said it a few weeks ago, if Snead let’s Donald walk I will applaud him. That team has too much talent and if they pay Donald that’s going to shorten their window considerably. He is a great player no doubt about it but his position has little impact. The Eagles let up 500 yards passing in the SB with a top 3 DT in Cox. Paying Donald would be a mistake with all the contracts on the horizon for Snead.
  13. FWIW a radio host was saying he let them disconnect his DirectTV service as he was sick of paying for it. After the service had been disconnected they kept sending him a bill with a zero balance. He called to ask why he was still recieving a bill and they rolled over and gave him a much better deal so that he would return. Might help someone that has had it out with them. Good luck.
  14. https://www.gq.com/story/the-nfl-isnt-ready-for-how-big-of-a-disaster-this-season-will-be/amp written by the same guy that writes the “why your team sucks” pieces. I hope this doesn’t come happen with the new rules. I didn’t get to watch the game last night so I don’t have much to offer. Sharing this because that’s exactly how I feel as a fan heading into the season.
  15. Reading that Tequila has health benefits. Crazy.
  16. It’s possible. If I had to sit down and watch one of them I’d pick Taylor. He is more exciting and I’d expect the end results to be about the same.
  17. Drafting WRs should be easy then, just look for the next big fast guy like Roy Williams. I was going to make a Matt Millen joke but didn’t realize he was in bad health.
  18. I disliked Taylor, mostly because he had the blinders on presnap. With that being said, how do you suppose AJM would have played against the Jags? I don’t see that turning out any different.
  19. I couldn’t care less what he says in a presser. All I care is that Allen gets his laser pointed in the right direction and wins the job in the very near future. I’d rather watch Taylor than Nate or AJM. With their arm strength they would be better off calling UPS and having it deliver on deep outs. Guaranteed arrival and it might even get there quicker.
  20. Feisty fella. You came in telling the OP he should aspire for vanilla. Are you sure that you weren’t coming in here just to wave the Bama flag around? Seems like a strange way to start an intelligent conversation.
  21. I’m looking for a huge upgrade from the pizza delivery guy playing QB.
  22. Have you seen the new kickoff rules? If your kicker is unable to consistently kick it out of the back of the endzone you better have some committed ST guys. The way the rules are now the coverage unit can no longer get a running head start. The receiving team is now mostly comprised of “up” men with only a few guys being allowed back. Instead of collisions and guys blasting down the field full speed the receiving team will carry their blocks down the field. This is going to create some huge lanes. My buddies that go to Patriots camp have said tha they working on this a bunch. It will be their new advantage. They swap Edelman and Patterson back and forth during kicks with hopes of Patterson catching it. Good luck tackling him, he has long strides and will be a nightmare with these new rules. The Bills have a bunch of the same at WR, I hope they keep their best ST players. I also hope they are working on returns and seeing the benefit of the changes.
