  1. They are spending the week trashing Belichick and harassing him about benching Butler, that’s a better listen than some blowhards torching Allen over and over again. Heres to hoping that Allen has a big set of balls and he is about to show everybody how they swing.
  2. Is he trashing Allen or is he just linking what other people are saying? Or both?
  3. Awesome. Those homes down south are beautiful I can’t wait to get back down there.
  4. Palpoei released, look quick enough and it could say possibly released.
  5. That means he is not medically cleared to practice.
  6. Sure feels like it. JK has a clean test and Allen inks his deal a day before TC starts.
  7. Are you hinting at a brain transplant? This kid is a rock.
  8. I have seen a few posters saying Astro won’t be giving updates this year. Hopefully that is not true.
  9. He resigned then, good.
  10. Safe to assume the Giants were able to give him a full physical before selecting him in the supplemental draft?
  11. Shouldn’t have thrown your soda on those poor kids.
  12. FWIW prior to the draft I said my biggest fear was the Pats trading up and getting Allen.
  13. I understand why some fans cling to the completion percentage and keep their expectations low. I see something different when watching Allen, maybe for me it’s because he does the things that EJ couldn’t and it’s a personal victory of sorts. I hope that’s not true but it may prove so. The thing I have a hard time with is the group of fans that supported EJ and his obvious flaw but are unable to get behind Allen. EJ had a 67% career completion percentage while at FSU. The guy shotputs passes, aims others like he is playing darts, flicks some, it’s painful to watch. I’d venture a guess he had more easy completions than Allen did.
  14. Go back and look at EJ at FSU, watch him deciding “how” to throw the football. That was never going to change. Allen is a natural thrower, if he can handle the mental part of the game and function presnap he will be a good one. “How” to throw a football, anyone that has played QB or thrown enough footballs knows that midthrow your brain shouldn’t be trying to communicate with your arm on how you need to release this thing. EJ and Bortles both do it at times, it’s some weird mental block. Relate it to another sport? Sorta similar to what Knoblauch went through in baseball? Different because for years Chuck was fine but once he started thinking instead of throwing the results were horrific. In short, don’t dismiss Allen because of EJ’s fatal flaw.
  15. Bears should do very well ATS this season.
  16. How long did it take you to realize that EJ didn’t have it? Did you watch EJ at FSU?
  17. I just think you can listen to the neighbor and your broker at the same time. Odds are that the proffesional is right? I would bet big bucks that any of these amateurs could have drafted better value than a select group of GMs. Nepotism a plenty and an imperfect evaluation process leaves plenty of room for an amateur to chime in with an opinion that is worth an ear. Just my two cents, I know some guys like to simplify things, why wouldn’t the guy doing the job be the most qualified guy for that job...welll....
  18. Yeeeeeeeeeeee. A neighbor who doesn’t work on Wall St. gives me random stock advice, a few days later that stock jumps up, OFC I never bought it, why would I trust him? A month later he mentions another stock, I still have my doubts and don’t buy it. Sure enough it jumps up again. Time and time again this happens but I’m never gonna buy those stocks because my neighbor is a truck driver and not a stock broker. Hope he enjoys all that money.
  19. Lions had the best record (10-6) O/U last year. +10 in turnover differential, good for 5th in the league. Baltimore lead the league with +17, that surprised me. The coach being fired in Detroit tells part of the story, not consistently beating teams that they should.
  20. Bahaha Lamar Jackson beat out Flacco.
  21. Speaking of the oft injured/never great Carlos Hyde, keep an eye on Nick Chubb. Another sleeper on a high scoring offense is D’onta Foreman. I drafted him last year and just as he seemed to breakout in a game against Zona he tore his Achilles. I’m not sure when he is due back.
  22. Joe Thomas was also doing some media, another OL guy who dropped a quick 50 pounds after retirement.
  23. In college we once used a piece of a pizza box to “roll” up some weed, we all got very sick. I’m not sure if pastrami will work but definitely don’t use a pizza box. I’d go with the bacon.
