Devin Singletary YPA vs 8Man box
longtimebillsfan replied to GoBills808's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It would be interesting to see what the league average is for rushing attempts vs 8 men in the box. -
At 54 the Bills will take? Your guess here!!

Maybe he just needs to learn consistency. This almost sounds like maybe he was dealing with a minor injury. -
Bills sign OL Garrett McGhin

Sounds like a "Process" kind of guy. I am ok with this signing. -

I am hoping for an immediate starting caliber cornerback. After watching Wallace get burned all last year, I believe that is our biggest single weakness on either side of the ball. The cornerbacks we signed in free agency provide nice depth, but I am not confident that they represent an upgrade to Wallace. -

I would guess edge rusher or cornerback. That would be a fun pick. -
What would you consider a successful draft?
longtimebillsfan replied to Bleedbuffaloblue's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
A starting corner, a rotational edge rusher, a wide receiver that is a serious challenger to make the 53 man roster, and a back up running back. -
With quality running back available in the middle rounds of most draft years, why use multiple draft assets on an existing running back. Especially if it is for one year. I don't think we need a "top running back" in this draft. We need a quality back that can play as a backup and push Singletary. Sorry, I don't buy in to spending a lot on running backs. What did McCoy give us after investing heavily in him financially?

lowest value of draft picks
longtimebillsfan replied to dbfla10's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Statistically, maybe that is true. But I am confident Beane will make the most out of those picks. -
The three I was thinking of was Winfield, Gilmore, and Nate Clements. Clements may not hav been an all-pro, but he was good for us and I hated to see him go. I agree. I just don't like the idea of letting Tre get to his last year before negotiating. But I may be just a little impatient. Thank you. Those are the three I was thinking of. Not sure if Clements was an all-pro.

How do you judge a good defense?
longtimebillsfan replied to BritBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Points first, then yards allowed. Turnovers are nice, but you frequently see a highly rated defense that relies heavily on turnovers to cover other weaknesses and the following year when the turnovers are not as frequent, that defense ratings drops significantly. -

Josh Allen "Prove it" Season In Year 3

Your analysis is cutting edge. -
HI: Your take is a bit inaccurate. This article is just saying that they have contingencies. I live in Las Vegas. They continue to work on the stadium through this quarantine period. if an outbreak of Covid 19 is discovered among the construction workers, then the work site could be shut down. As of now, the stadium is still on track, This link shows a PFF article that talks about contingencies but states that it is expected to be completed on time. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2020/04/13/raiders-line-up-contingencies-but-hope-stadium-opens-on-time/ Let's pump the breaks here.

Is Josh Allen really a franchise QB?
longtimebillsfan replied to Big Curt's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's too early to tell. He was drafted with the understanding that he was a raw talent. He has only two years of NFL experience. He showed significant improvement in year two. It is absurd to expect him to be a finished product in two years. It may take four or five years to see his full potential. Some quarterbacks have taken longer to blossom. No one can truly answer your question at this point in Allen's career. -

And he is trying to prove that it was a mistake to release him???? I don't do this often, but I agree with Whaley's decision on this one. Wow! -
I think the haters are in the minority. We have a few "internet Rambos" that like to positon themselves as NFL experts that know more than anyone else. Most of us realize that Josh was a developmental pick and it is enjoyable to see him show progress each year. Only time will tell, but he has brought an excitement and energy to the team we have not seen in a long time. There will always be hand wringers and naysayers. We can't let them spoil our fun. Go Josh! Go Bills!!
