  1. I wouldn't judge (howell) by where he was selected in the draft. he can sling it and has a couple good weapons. that said, I still feel confident the D will keep him in check and JA and the offense will walk away with a victory. 33-17

  3. Ron Rivera Says Commanders Are 'Ready To Go' vs. 'Elite' Bills si.com Commanders head coach Ron Rivera noted the task at hand in facing the Bills and the magnitude of facing a team of their caliber. “Pretty big. To me, I mean, it really is," Rivera said. "They're one of the elite teams in the AFC. I know they're 1-1, but records don't mean anything in this situation. This is one of the elite teams coming in and we've got to gear up, we've got to practice, prepare, get ourselves ready to go, and give us a great opportunity to see where we stand.” The Commanders have shown signs of turning the corner through their first two games of the season after coming back in the second half to beat the Arizona Cardinals 20-16 on Sept. 10 and the Denver Broncos 35-33 on Sunday. Sam Howell had the best performance of his young career, completing 27 of 39 passes for 299 yards and two touchdowns. Brian Robinson Jr. also broke out in a big way against the Broncos with a career-high 129 total yards and two rushing touchdowns. “I think it's an opportunity for us to establish who we are and who we can be," Rivera said. "This is a very good measuring stick. What they've done for the last four or five years, especially with the young quarterback [Josh Allen] now he's coming into his own."
  4. SB Nation Reacts: A Dorsey of a different color finds approval with Bills Mafia buffalorumblings.com Perhaps unfairly, Buffalo Bills (-6.5)offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey has found himself at the center of criticism concerning the team’s offensive production. As a first-time OC during the 2022 NFL season, Dorsey put together an impressive playbook that many believed borrowed heavily from Brian Daboll. Buffalo’s offense finished fourth overall last season, yet a large group of fans disapproved of Dorsey, and the idea of moving forward with him — that he was part of a concern the team was wasting quarterback Josh Allen’s best years. Allen under Daboll in 2021: 409-of-646 (63.3%) for 4,407 yards (259.2 ypg). 6.8 yards per attempt 36TDs (5.6 TD%), 16 INTs (2.3 INT%) QB rating 92.2, QBR 60.7 Allen under Dorsey in 2022 359-of-567 (63.3%), for 4,283 yards (267.2 ypg). 7.6 yards per attempt 35 TDs (6.2 TD%), 15 INTs (2.5 INT%) QB rating 96.6, QBR 73.4

Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Tennessee Titans and Washington Commanders have also cultivated the same grass surface in all three stadiums, Raymond James Stadium, Nissan Stadium and FedExField.
  6. Commanders’ Sam Howell on Bills’ Josh Allen: ‘A tremendous player’ “Josh is a tremendous player,” Howell said via video conference. “One of the guys that’s probably the more fun to watch in the NFL, and it’s been so much fun to watch him do what he’s been doing in Buffalo. It’ll be an exciting opportunity for me to go head-to-head with him. I don’t know Josh personally but looking forward to the opportunity to maybe talk to him after the game or something. A lot of respect for his game and just how he plays the game.” “They’re one of the elite teams in the AFC. I know they’re 1-1, but records don’t mean anything in this situation. This is one of the elite teams coming in and we’ve got to gear up,” Washington head coach Ron Rivera said. “A great opportunity to see where we stand.” billswire.usatoday

  8. Bills' Ed Oliver rates as one of the best pass-rushers in the NFL Pro Football Focus ranked Bills defensive tackle Ed Oliver second in the NFL in the metric. Oliver, with a pressure rate of 23.5%, is in the same company as Chase Young, DeMarcus Lawrence, and Micah Parsons. Oliver, 25, has played two games this season for Buffalo and has amassed 0.5 sacks, eight tackles, two tackles for loss, and four quarterback hits.
