forgot last season. this is not the same team, not even close. it was not a problem trading 99, it was actually a good move. it's done. I'm sure they have moved on and are focused on the job at hand, game day. it's not the pick man. it's the contract they're sending along with him, it unloads a lot financially to be able to use on the additions of the future. it's a rebuild and part of the process and it would seem pretty obvious they will be adding a nt as well as a few more positions after the season through both the draft and fa? they have plenty to work with in their first year as far as picks, more than I recall any other previous regime starting out with? if you have no patience and pretty much judge off the cuff then you will have a hard time dealing with the process. a rookie gm and hc have to start somewhere and until they fall flat and fail like some have them already doing, I will give them some time to prove themselves. so far, I like what I see. 4-2 and the raiders at home where they're presently undefeated. be great to see them go to 4-0 , been a while since they've dominated at home? I laughed out loud.

you look at the dark side, I try to look at the bright side. some like to wallow in negativity, I try to avoid it. you want to call it realism. don't see the kelly comparison here? so far, they're doing it their way and sitting at 4-2. the remnants from the past regime that have been removed so far have not hurt them in the w/l column. april is a long way off and 10 games to go. this season so far has been sort of a locker room cleaning yet still contending. any judgement likely wouldn't be sound until like the 2019 season where they should have their roster pretty much set?

ahh yes, the dreaded "17 years" guise. you know, it doesn't phase me anymore really. hell, it may of been at the 15 year mark where I just didn't give a real **** anymore. it''ll break when it's broke, maybe this season? you never know

they had to get something, they were not going to cut him. they had to unload him somewhere and seems the jags were willing to take on the risk financially ask well as the risk he may not live up to expectations and offered a 6th round pick for him. beane has been stock piling those picks, maybe he can find a gem or two this next draft? you had a kid who's potential was off the charts but has been in decline and with the past off field issues, he was already a big scratch with the new regime. he was a goner from the get go they just couldn't find a team that wanted him. he was a whaley player and they have been almost methodically removing said remnants and will build their team with only players that buy in to the process. which, frankly, I'm beginning to buy in to as well. this trade comes as no shock and I understand they're doing what they feel is best for the team going forward.

those that despised him and his money, he's gone, who cares what they got. to answer your question in terms of the trade, hell no from a talent perspective. you could obviously see he wasn't buying in and they got what they could based not on his talent, but unfortunate reputation. the kid was a beast when on all cylinders. later big stuff
