  1. Calm down: Bills don't have to worry about Patriots leaping them in 2018 NFL Draft Bills Wire You can pinch yourself all you want, but this isn’t a nightmare. On Tuesday evening, the New England Patriots traded wide receiver Brandin Cooks and a fourth-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft to the Los Angeles Rams in exchange for the 23rd overall pick in the draft. New England also picked up a sixth-round pick in the trade. While it should be in the back of their mind, the thought shouldn’t keep them up at night. Like the Patriots, Buffalo owns two picks in the first round. Both of their picks, however, are higher than New England’s. The Bills own picks no. 12 and 22 in the 2018 draft. The Patriots own the 23rd and 31st overall selections. New England may not be interested in selecting a quarterback in the first round of the 2018 draft. However, even if they are, their draft capital is not as attractive as that of the Bills. If they do eventually decide to move further up the draft board, they’re going to have a tough time jumping in front of Buffalo.
  2. they have a plan in place, it's just going to take three more weeks before finding out what said plan will be?
  3. I'm not trying to promote him by any means. just showing that everyone and their brother both in the media and bills fans have been doing nothing more then speculating where and who they draft round one.
  4. Buffalo Bills trade up for Lamar Jackson Chad Reuter 2018 NFL Mock Draft 4.0 Could the Buffalo Bills miss out on the top four quarterback prospects in the 2018 NFL draft? Buffalo has the draft capital to move up, but that doesn't ensure that the team will be able to get one of the top quarterbacks in this year's draft class. Quarterbacks could come off the board quickly with the Cleveland Browns, New York Giants and New York Jets holding the first three picks. NFL.com draft analyst Chad Reuter's most recent five-round mock draft showed a scenario where the Bills missed out on Sam Darnold, Josh Rosen, Josh Allen and Baker Mayfield. Reuter had Allen, Darnold and Rosen being selected with the first three picks. The fourth quarterback, Mayfield, would be taken ahead of the Bills at pick 8. Reuter's mock draft had the New Orleans Saints trading all the way up to the Bears' spot to find Drew Brees' heir apparent. With the top four quarterbacks gone, Reuter had Buffalo trade up to No. 9 to select Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson. Buffalo gave up the No. 12 and No. 65 picks to get the 49ers' pick
  5. some bills fans reacting to the patriots moving up in the draft...for a QB
  6. speaking for myself. I'm going to trust they pick the right player, the one who fits their plan going forward. they have shown some promise in this short rebuilding period that gives me the thought that they'll do what's best for what they feel will lead the team to succeed and contend. if I were to center my attention on one or even two players I believe they should pick, it could be setting ones self up for disappointment. many have been down this road, rebuilding, new regime but for myself, something feels different about it this go around. they certainly don't have me in the doubters corner, I'm anticipating good things to come. trust the process
  7. when roger walks up to the podium? that would just have so many on edge, ready to jump!
  8. my only concern is what the bills do. the patsies**, meh, they're going to do what they're going to do, it is what it is.
  9. you act like you're the only one who has been waiting. keep your fingers crossed. I believe they will move up but it may not be the QB everyone wants, which will lead to yet more negativity and doomsday threads. it's just in many bills fans dna. Todd McShay is 'hearing a lot of buzz' that Buffalo Bills could trade up to No. 2 One team that could potentially make a deal with the Bills is the New York Giants New York could be looking to fill multiple holes in the draft and Giants GM Dave Gettleman is close with Bills GM Brandon Beane from their time together in Carolina. ESPN's Todd McShay believes that Buffalo could make the jump to No. 2 in the draft. In a dueling mock draft with Mel Kiper Jr., McShay had the Bills moving up to the second pick in the draft to select Wyoming's Josh Allen. Bills get: Pick No. 2Giants get: Pick Nos. 12, 22 and 53
  10. suicide watch? do you ever see the bright side of things. you are so negative man, so negative.
  11. wonder how many here can make it to draft day? based on the few reactions in this thread I would say some wont make it.
  12. what if beane already has a plan in place with gettleman? spec·u·la·tion ˌspekyəˈlāSH(ə)n/ noun 1. the forming of a theory or conjecture without firm evidence.
  13. between now and draft day you have to wonder how much more dealing they will be doing to be able to move up to the top in round 1?
  14. I feel I can say all of the above. seems like a pretty simple answer but I feel he will do better in just about every parameter. maybe TD:TO Ratio he may not do as well as he'll likely throw more then taylor did? one thing he wont be doing is running around like a chicken with it's head cut off after his first read. something I certainly wont miss from taylor.
  15. did I say I wanted to bet you? 10 to 1 odds were in reference to him out playing taylor. my bad, I thought you were talking about taylor. I stand on the 10-1 odds McCarron does better then taylor. fair enough I have no problem with saying McCarron will be better then taylor, no problem at all.
  16. really, for someone that is uncertain or claims they couldn't decide one way or the other, this tells me you're leaning toward failure rather then success. ftr, it was a matter of speaking, I'm not going to take your money.
  17. so then it's wait and see for you. no one knows based off the little nfl experience but I would bet 10 to 1 he does better then the last stop gap QB. those that brought him in never would of signed him had they not felt he was going to be the better option? we shall see.
  18. yeah, 3rd team, second starting. I can see him all of a sudden becoming an accurate passer capable of reading defenses while leading the team to touchdowns consistently. browns finish 11-5, win the division and make the playoffs and he and the offense score much more then 3 points in the divisional round. then he ends up facing brady and co in the afc championship game, beating the patsies single handedly leading the browns to the sb where he and the browns win against rogers and the pack and named sb mvp.
  19. was that you after waiting 18 years for the playoffs?
