  10. One thing I really like about this post-season is the limited number of off days. Prevents teams from trying to win a 7 game series with their 2 top starters.
  11. I never wore Bills gear too often so 'Go Bills!' was never a thing for me. I started noticing it when my son got a bunch of 'Go Bills!' on vacation a few years ago and in some unexpected places. Since then I don't pass up the opportunity when I see someone in Bills gear. And I'm more inclined to put on a Bills shirt or hat if I'm on vacation just to see who else is out there.
  12. Finished with my woman 'cause she couldn't help me with my mind People think I'm insane because I am frowning all the time
  13. (For your love) I'd give the moon if it were mine to give
  14. This continues to trend in the right direction. Steve Cohen’s purchase of the Mets took another step toward completion when his deal was approved by MLB’s Ownership Committee, one of the smaller groups that needed to give the hedge-fund multibillionaire a thumbs-up before he officially takes over, a source said Tuesday. https://www.newsday.com/sports/baseball/mets/steve-cohen-mets-purchase-mlb-ownership-committee-1.50042470

  16. No argument there, the endgame was the same for Kelly, Eli and Elway. But I was responding to @smuvtalker who didn't like players coming out and trying to dictate the team they go to. Eli and Elway are the comps IMO. Kelly had an equitable choice in terms of compensation from what I remember. Lawrence doesn't have an option similar to the USFL.
  17. I saw it too. I think it's a no brainer that Trevor won't go to an another league because the money just isn't there. The Kelly comp is a stretch. My recollection is the USFL was luring players like Kelly and Herschel with salaries comparable to the NFL. That option doesn't exist right now for Trevor. The options are to stay in college and hope for a better situation or force the situation. As I recall Elway used baseball (and the Yankees) as leverage. I guess Archie was Eli's leverage but I really don't know.
  18. I don't think Kelly is a great comp here. He leveraged a different league and a big paycheck to avoid Buffalo. That's not quite the same as forcing a trade (like Eli) or forgoing the big paycheck for a year at the risk of injury (like Peyton).
  19. Kershaw needs to finally step up and will the Dodgers to the championship that has eluded them. He has come up small too many times in the post season for a no doubt first ballot HOFer.
  20. The Rays. It's not because I like them, it's because I don't like who they beat to get this far. If the Rays win, Tampa will have a shot at winning 3 straight championships in different sports - hockey, baseball, football. Obviously I don't want the last one to happen, but I wonder if it's been done before. Closest I can come up with is Jets (1968/1969), Mets (1969) and Knicks (1969/1970).
