  2. A man I know, went down to Louisiana Had himself a bad, bad fight And when the sun peeked through John Cameron with Suzanna He kissed the whiskers, left and right Whiskers
  3. On the back of a winged horse Through the sky of pearly grey Love is leaf-like... You and me, baby Twinkle, twinkle Blah, blah, blah E! T! C!
  4. The parade of Bills QB's that preceded Tyrod all contributed to the drought. I agree that Tyrod is average at best. Like it or not average QB play contributed to ending the drought. Some of us appreciate that. I'm not sure if many of us saw him as the guy to take us to the next level.
  5. Clean as a whistle Smellin' like a rose She got no dirty little fingers Bloodshot eyes are gone Tell me I"m wrong Twice as Hard As it was the first time I said goodbye

  8. Now listen, I'm a proud man, not a beggar walking on the street I'm working so hard, to keep you from the poverty I'm working so hard to keep you in the luxury, oh yeah
  9. If you're not sure how the studio version ends: #notmypetpeeve I've never seen/heard a band have the venue turn down the volume to end a song while the band is still playing.
  10. Studio songs that end with the volume fading out and the band still playing. Still waiting to see that replicated live.
  11. I'm late to the party on this one - but I did take the time to skim the 6 pages so hopefully this hasn't been mentioned. Rankings are based on number of posts, right? Any possibility/thoughts on it being on positive reactions to posts instead?
  12. I just got paid today Got me a pocket full of change
  13. I was at work when a co-worker got a call from his friend who worked downtown telling him people were jumping from the building. I honestly can't remember if the caller knew what had happened yet, but I don't think so. Sadly my sister-in-law lost her father that day. He was working security and was last seen evacuating kids from a day care center.
  14. With thanks to @JaCrispy Stick with this till the bluesy end before you form an opinion either way.
  15. Damn - the show scheduled for next week in my area got cancelled.
  16. Can't breathe until you choke Gotta laugh when you're the joke There's nothing like a funeral To make you feel alive Just open your eyes, just open your eyes And see that life is beautiful
  17. @Gugny @Another Fan Thoughts on the Baez thumbs down comments? I try not to overreact, but this feels like a watershed moment for Cohen. I would cut Baez tomorrow.
  18. So I'm watchin' and I'm waitin' Hopin' for the best Even think I'll go to prayin' Every time I hear 'em sayin' That there's no way to delay that trouble comin' every day
  19. Agreed on Lindor's first year in NY. But I'd feel better if he went on a mini-tear in the next few weeks. I watched the Koosman ceremony, great stuff. I started watching the Mets in earnest in the early 70's. Koosman was always second fiddle to Seaver who was just on another level. The other pitcher that was great was Jon Matlack but he didn't have the career Koosman had. Nice to see Kooz get his due. I remember hearing about the Seavers and Growing Pains but not Koosman. That was around the time I graduated college so that show wasn't in my wheelhouse. Cool trivia though.
  20. Saturday in the park I think it was the Fourth of July
  21. To me this season is about two things: injuries and under-performers. The first half run gave me a lot of hope because they were doing it in spite of a ridiculous number of injuries and some gross under-performers (I'm looking at you Lindor and Conforto). I kept hoping they'd get healthy and Lindor, Conforto and others would come back to center, but neither happened. Hell, even if DeGrom had come back we'd probably still be in the mix, not to mention Thor. They bring in Baez and what happens? He gets hurt. They bring in Cameron Maybin and what happens? He goes 1-28. Some of the big moments of the first half came from the likes of Billy McKinney, Pat Mazeika and Johneshwhy Fargas. And yet through all of that they were still in first. In hindsight they would have been better off with Springer over Lindor. They don't have a true CFer, they have a LFer playing right and a 1B playing LF. And a DH playing 3B many nights. Not sure what to think of the manager, nothing I particularly love or hate about the guy. The guy I have no use for is the GM. Every time he opens his mouth I want him to shut it. One of the hopes/rumors from last off-season is we'd bring in Theo Epstein. I'm still on board with that.
  22. My jacket's going to be cut and slim and checked Maybe a touch of seersucker with an open neck I ride a GS scooter with my hair cut neat I wear my wartime coat in the wind and sleet
  23. But I'm not gonna let 'em catch me, no I'm not gonna let 'em catch the midnight rider
  24. Outstanding! Good time for a 13 year old to be a Bills fan. My two are a few years older and loving where this team is right now after growing up with a lot of shoulder shrugs and eye rolls.
  25. Get along, Kid Charlemagne
