  1. IMO- we have slowly fallen down the slippery slope to mediocrity ever since WWII. It started with the first unpopular effort in Korea, then we killed a president, then we had Vietnam, and slowly have devolved into a Nation of People who are easily offended, thin-skinned, Blow-hards. I will sue! You cant call me that! My coffee is too hot! You were mean to me! You looked at me funny! We were a Nation who conquered all. Space. Freedom. Ideology. Technology. Science. Medicine. We stood against Nazism, and Fascism, and Socialism. Now, we are becoming Socialist by choice. We are a shell of what, and who we once were. We are afraid of being sued, or thrown in jail, let alone stand up and fight for an Ideal, or God forbid die for one. We can't and wont defend our own borders for crying out loud. We are Nation of short memories. How many remember 9/11? We need to move past the anger we are told. we wont show the towers coming down because we dont want to cause pain. We need to be more understanding of people who are harming us, instead of fighting back, we are told. We are embarrassed for being strong, opinionated, kind, and generous. We give away our rights to be "safer". We agree to surveillance at levels I would have never thought possible. We let the Politicians tell us what we can do, and say, and think, and listen to. Whatever happened to live and let live? Where are we headed? What will The USA be like in another 20 years? The Nation you have been admiring from just 70 years ago, IMO, doesn't exist anymore. Again, these are just opinions. Others may be different. Flame away if you must. It is after all what we have become. My opinion is neither right nor wrong, as is anybody else's.
  2. with all due respect to you guys getting on Leach as a "one trick pony" with a "gimmick" offense, i say you are mistaken. Innovative offenses come along all the time. Wildcat, K-gun, No-Huddle, Run and Shoot, Mike martz' greatest show on turf, etc etc. They sometimes work, and they sometimes fail. The thing I want to see from a coach is; can he get the most from his players? and can he win? So far, Leach has done that. The win against Texas last year was enormous. Can he do that at the next level? Who knows? Someday we may find out. I just hope it isn't against us twice a year. Would I make Leach MY first choice? Maybe, but probably not. I would not be terribly upset if we hired him. I would certainly love the aggressive approach for a while, as opposed to Jauron Ball. Senator----Rock on dude! now is the time to get your voice heard by the PTB at OBD. Dont go so far as to get banned, though. At least someone here knows who he wants to hire.
  3. can we please put Kampman ideas to rest? We already have 3 Aaron Kampman's on the roster. PLUS he is old and slow. I just watched the entire GB vs TB game this weekend and Kampman is Schobel. He may even be less than schobel. I was less than impressed with a once good player. The dude needs to retire.
  4. that was a great story! Congratulations Simon. You should be very proud.
  5. Dude, that was beautiful! It is absolutely the chefs and the food that people go to a place for. the waitstaff is there to not !@#$ it up...
  6. I dont think we have any idea if Trent is the man or not. To be fair, he has had some good and lots of bad. but he is playing for a Pop Warner Offense and a Coach like Jauron who has no idea how to develop a QB. Would he succeed with another coach or another system. Simply put, maybe. I think he has the tools, or he did until Wilson's hit on him in Glendale. I just dont think we know for sure if his suckitude is due to him or Jauron's offense and his lack of protection...We have all seen the other teams jumping routes and filling holes like they new the play better than our offense...
  7. not far off....
  8. As I work there, I will say Costco.
  9. Is he still doing Melanie griffith?
  10. Wrong! They need all three.
  11. lol. I agree. How many times has Roscoe let the damn ball bounce this year? Every time the ball hits the ground, it costs us 15-20 yards of field position. That is alot of ground for this pathetic offense to make up.
  12. Just like everything else my friend, it is a combination of talent, and coaching and chemistry that achieves results. I think the cover two has run its course as a base defense here in Buffalo. Its time to make changes everywhere....
  13. just for the record. I saw lots times when the 7 offensive guys you mentioned blocking the front four and the 3 linebackers of the defensive Bills. Hence----Holes to run through. And on the off chance we had a free guy or two to try and plug the hole to meet the RB, the said players filled the wrong damned hole!!! I NEVER thought i would say this, but i miss the days of Wade's 3-4 read and react defense that would shut down opposing teams run games week in and week out. We were near the top of the league defensively for a LONG time with Wade.
  14. You are correct. I was wrong. The Jets were an original team, as the Titans. After a little search, i found a list of Flashback games, which I believe are the games where the NFL lets teams and officials wear the throwbacks. This weeks game Bills/Jets was not featured, since the Titans and Pats were. This may be the reason. http://www.profootballhof.com/history/decades/1960s/afl.aspx
  15. i might be wrong, but i dont think the Jets are an original AFL team from 1960. The throwbacks are supposed to be for Original teams only in head to head games...
  16. these reports are wrong. It stems from this article, saying trent suffered a concussion on Oct 5th against AZ. We all know that was LAST year. this is only his second Concussion. http://www.nfl.com/news/story?id=09000d5d8...mp;confirm=true
  17. even if they are, do you honestly think Jauron will find the tip and then CHANGE what we do to try and stop it? I dont.
  18. Thats what my kids are telling me. The Kids in their high school that have seen it all were afraid and are all a little freaked out by it. It kind of has me curious.
  19. Anyone here seen it? My daughter wants go, was looking for a review... http://www.paranormalactivity-movie.com/trailer.html
  20. thats funny. We ARE the Raiders. Should have won a close Monday night game to start the year. Did win against a lesser opponent in week two, followed by 3 embarrassing losses.
  21. very sad. My prayers go out to all the families involved. I hope CD is ok and make the comeback.
  22. I would prefer if the qb played for a major school in a top flight conference, with those stats. Then you have a player....
  23. This game just proves that the NFL is a game of violence, and a test of manhood and discipline. These teams are physical, aggressive, and tough. God how i hate Dick Douchebag! The bills are playing like a collection of pansies.
  24. How many weeks are left to this trainwreck of a season?
  25. i dont know. We just got beat in back to back weeks by teams without a win. And the only TD we had was in garbage time...
