the article i read a while ago said that there will be a draft in April, but no free agency, and no negotiation of any kind with draftees. The Lockout will start after the SB, combine as usual, draft. Just no FA and no signing draftpicks... The problem i see with this, is that a team wont be able to address needs in FA, then fill remaining holes in draft. I will effect bad teams more than good ones I think. It will be virtually impossible to keep him. Unless we sign him to an extension BEFORE the end of the season. If the season ends, and we haven't extended him yet, then the looming lockout makes it impossible to sign or negotiate with free agents. The labor dispute will cause a huge problem for the NFL next summer IMO. I can honestly see the entire 2011 season being wiped out...

I wonder if Kelly is given executor status for the Bills in Ralph's Will for the sale of the Bills only, not any of Ralph's personal stuff. I mean, Ralph can legally do whatever he wants with them yes? what better way for Ralph to make one FINAL effort to keep the Beloved Bills where they belong? Kelly has the best interests of WNY at heart, and we all know it. If Kelly has the power to decide who can buy the team, then he can decide not to take offers from groups who want to move the team. Simple, really. It just is a random, alcohol induced thought....

This is what I think as well Dean-o. There will NEVER be confirmation of this, but there have been tons of guys given second and third chances by teams in this league, and this guy doesnt get a chance to even try to make a team? I agree completely. I will still pull for the Bills. But they will not get better with ralph as the owner. We have to wait and find out if the team stays or goes after Ralph passes. I wont cheer for them if they go btw... I believe in Jim Kelly. I have to. I hope he has his ducks in a row and steps in when the time comes.

Ice, I think Spiller was the starter for game one because Jackson and Lynch were still nursing injuries. I think Jackson still is. Maybe since they are healthier now, Spiller can be worked in more slowly. Also, he may not have performed very well week 1 with Blitz pick-ups, leading to his being "worked in slowly" I think it is nothing to worry about. By the mid-season mark, I expect Spiller to be getting far more snaps. We will see what he does with them.

No toll roads out here in Arizona. Of course, its pretty hard to catch a Bills or Sabres game too...

well said! I agree with almost all. You cant give Edwards a break because he played in a crappy system under Jauron, and not give Evans the same break. Had we had a coach who knew how to run an offense, both might have been better.

I think Moats get a visit from the Turk. He has no change of direction, no coverage ability, and seems to only play fast when going straight ahead. i dont think he makes the squad. Thats too bad. I was pulling for him.

I dont really want to get into this, but i will just say "alleged" rapist, vs convicted interstate gambler. I dont believe Vick was actually suspended for the dog killings. It was for being convicted and sent to prison for running a gambling ring. If i am wrong, then well, there you go...it wont be the first time....If Big Ben had been convicted and sent to prison for rape, i bet he would get a year long suspension at least... others beat me to the same reason...

I think this also. The Bills put him on IR and save a spot on the roster, as well as not exposing him by putting him on the practice squad. IR is just a way to protect their pick since he wasnt going to contribute much this year already...

Like any business with higher than expected income, they have a financial opportunity to "write off" some things on their taxes. So, you work the numbers to show a big "loss". Then you use the paper losses to raise your "lower than average" ticket prices to some of the highest in the league.... They didnt lose money last year anywhere other than on paper for Uncle Sam's benefit, IMO.
