  1. Am I allowed to be concerned about the defense now? Jaysus Christ.
  2. "Really good" WRs aren't on 4 teams in a 12 month span. Not being a jackass is a skill set. It's also one that you and he both lack so it doesn't shock me that you wouldn't recognize it's importance.
  3. Alabama didn't deserve to be in either. Today didn't show that Alabama should have been in, it showed that 12 teams is too many. 8 was sufficient.
  4. There was always an argument that Tennessee didn't belong. Their best win was against a fraudulent Alabama.
  5. Yup. And if they don't it tells you a LOT about how the league feels about the guy.
  6. I remember when Jerry Butler did that. A very long time ago.
  7. They might do exactly what Atlanta just did.
  8. I don't think the Bills situation ever got bad with players and agents in the way that it has with the Sabres.
  9. He's quick, not fast. Different things. And the lack of hands are a legitimate problem.
  10. He drops footballs, isn't terribly fast, and yes is a head case. He is not a "really good WR".
  11. All the people who matter have already gotten paid. They are playing their way out of town and it's obvious. Terry holds a meeting and says not to expect any major trades. He thinks that will make them more comfortable and settle down. In reality it kicks about half of them in the nuts because they were hoping to be gone so they packed it in even further and got whipped 6-1 by the only team worse than them, then backed that performance up with another 6-3 drubbing. They've given up SIXTY goals in their last 11 games. If that isn't quitting I don't know what is. You go into a scoring drought and lose a couple tough ones? 2-1, 1-0, fine that happens. To get drubbed and give up that many goals over that many games is ridiculous. There is absolutely no excuse for a team to defend that poorly for that long a period of time. Then the big man comes in with what he thinks is support for you and you give up 12 in two nights? GTFO with that.
  12. I don't think that situation is recoverable. Ever. Not with the current ownership anyway. They have absolutely no idea what they are doing. None. At all. What's worse is they think they do. They have poisoned the well so badly that I can't conceive of an executive group and coaching staff that you could ever hire who would be able to walk in and restore organizational credibility. Nobody who could actually do that would sign on. Why? Because they don't have to. They either already have a job in a better situation or some other team in a better situation will hire them first. This is an example of how broken they are. The stupid comment Adams made about there not being palm trees in Buffalo got him some negative feedback. Fine. Fans started bringing inflatable palm trees into the arena and the dumbass Sabres, rather than making it a funny tongue in cheek thing (that the fans started) and rolling with it they decided to squash it because they are so petty and weak they couldn't tolerate even the appearance of criticism of management in the arena even though they are in the midst of some of the most inept hockey and management we've ever seen. THAT is how terrible they are from top to bottom. Either NOBODY in the organization saw the fans doing that and said "Hey! that's kind of clever, let's try to make it our thing for a little while and have some fun." or someone DID see and say that and was squashed by a thin skinned superior or superior's superior. That's a little thing that feels unrelated to hockey but it speaks to how the organization operates. Somebody got butthurt about an inflatable tree to the degree that they felt the need to make it stop. How many people in the organization have the ability to make that call? Not too many. After that call was made there were others who could have said "hold on, this makes us look small and tone deaf to the few paying customers who still show up, let it go and let them have their fun". That didn't happen either. Petty and weak. How many other decisions are made on the "don't get Terry butthurt" basis? That's how Adams got the job in the first place for God's sake. He had his nose so far up Lord Terrance's finely buffed rear end that you could scarcely see his head. You think Kevyn tells Terry things Terry doesn't want to hear? That's hilarious.
  13. Well, with the next three teams they play we will find out a lot. Houston and Denver are 1&2 in sacks and Pittsburgh is blitz heavy.
  14. The Sabres suck in every single aspect of their organization. Top to bottom.
  15. Exactly. So they are marginally better outside and substantially weaker inside.
  16. We want that game to be a bloodbath either way. Ugly. Beating each other to a pulp.
  17. For football. Hockey? Not so much.
  18. Makes you wonder why they didn't move Thuney sooner... They were signing bums off the street three weeks ago.
  19. Rosen was drafted 10th overall. There are plenty of guys drafted in that area that flamed out. Rosen isn't going to be on top of a list of biggest draft busts. He no bigger a bust than Cade McNown. Busts yes, epically historic busts? Nah. Tony Mandarich, Akili Smith, Aundray Bruce...
  20. JaMarcus Russell has entered the chat.
  21. With a game on the line there is no other kicker I'd rather have than Adam Vinatieri.
  22. Houston is second in the league in sacking the QB. Mahomes with any lesser degree of mobility than usual will take more hits than usual and his OL still sucks. Next Wednesday he plays the Steelers who also get after the QB quite a lot. The week after that he plays Denver who leads the league in sacks and sacked him 4 times and hit him 9 times in their first meeting. This is all good.
