  1. Appears that way....Pack the SH*T up and go home. Why even bother playing out the season. Preseason game 1 with a new Coach, new GM, new President and basically new everything across the board except for probably the guy that cleans out the shitters, is new. All new except for the same ole moronic fans that feel that they should dissect each and every play of a PreSeason game and decide that all is lost. Idiots out there for sure.
  2. It was probably Joe B. from GR calling Murph, using a disguised name and voice. He doesn't like EJ and sounds very Sullivanesque when he talks about him. He will say something positive and then immediately follow it with a drawn out negative comment on anything he can come up with on EJ. I think he's just trying to back his draft day rant, and every day since, that he thought EJ was nothing better than a 4th round pick and that the bills should have taken Barkley or Nassib in the 1st.
  3. First off, welcome to the board. Long time lurker here myself, though I do post here and there. I have to give your dad a lot of credit for instilling something with you that both of you can share laughs and tears over. Being a longtime Bills fan with kids 9 and 7, I am in the same boat as your dad was over a decade ago. I am in the process of trying to get my kids to really get into watching the Bills games. We live in Florida and my biggest fear is having them become a fan of one the FL teams, though I seriously doubt it will happen. Both my kids went to their first game in Buffalo last year for the preseason thriller against the Skins. They were pretty bored with the game itself but they both loved the atmosphere with tailgating and in the stadium. Anyway, I have to ask, was there any one thing that really turned you onto becoming a fan or would you say that it was just something that you saw your dad so involved in that you wanted to be part of it too?
  4. Why So Serious? Comment of the Century: Quote fireeyes111 says:Jul 30, 2013 3:16 PM Trust me, no one is concerned about Marrone being rattled by the local media (or what passes for media in Buffalo). The local reporting crew, excepting a choice few, are well-known to be vapid, self-important know-it-alls who’ve made a living bashing the local sports teams from any angle they can find. Negativity is what sells in a town with historically bad teams, and they go far out of their way to be as negative as possible. Not even the fans in Buffalo like them, save the fatalistic, mouth-breathing whackos who call the WGR Whiner Line. This pretty says it all about the Buffalo (local) media. Sullivan and Maiorana lead the way and the rest of the wanna be irritating "writers" goosestep right behind them. I guess without a real journalist to look up to, these guys tend to follow right behind the likes of someone like Sullivan, who seems to have an axe to grind with everyone. It's unfortunate because a couple of them used to be pretty decent early on with their journalism but have strayed drastically over the last year or so.
  5. I have to agree with not worrying about the Ravens here. They are still a good team but it isn't their passing game that worries me, it's some guy named Rice that we need to worry about and that won't involve Gilmore to much.
  6. Nice! Great movie reference
  7. With the amount of illegitimate children that came out of him, it could be a grandkid of his for all we know
  8. I hope that kid from frostproof, fl, doesn't end up like the last buffalo bill from there
  9. Agreed.....maybe the mods will take notice and not close down every new thread that has a word that is the same word in another thread.
  10. It's about time we draft defensive players that play like their balls are on fire
  11. So that Ralph guy isn't cheap? I'm confused!
  12. The Bills are not going to make a "Derrick Dockery" mistake again and overpay for a guard when they need that money to pay for skill position players, like a wide receiver. Also, as stated earlier, Eric Woods contract is up next year and the Bills probably value him more than paying Levitre in the $7 mil a year range. They can draft a guard on day three to back up someone like Colin Brown , who recently signed a contract that pretty much indicated that the Bills aren't going to pay top dollar for a guard that is a bit more of a finesse player.
  13. Williams is very similar to Henry Jones, being larger than prototypical corners but very athletic. The difference is that Jones was a corner in college and converted to Safety immediately in the pros, Williams was put in the CB spot because of a lack of trust/depth in the other corners on the roster. Prior to the '11 draft, many of the talking heads viewed Williams as one of the best corners in the draft but also suggested that he might make a better safety given his athletic ability.
  14. The stuffed banana? peppers are awesome there also. Very good food with a nice variety and selection of beers on tap.
  15. I respect your opinion about the NFL going a bit over the top with Breast Cancer Awareness but it is a very common disease that potentially could affect half of the population of the planet, and the better looking half at that. My wife is a recent Breast Cancer survivor and without the likes of the NFL and so many other organizations out there bringing this disease to light, i could be without a wife and my children could be without a mother right now. Anything that the NFL does regarding this is a positive for everyone.
  16. No Kidding! I hate to say it but this team needs an overhaul......................starting with the coach and obvioously getting a real QB.
  17. Regardless how the season unfolds, shitzpatricks job is gone after this year. He is by far one of the worst QB's in the league and the starting QB position for the Bills should be open to any and all comers.
  18. I have a question for anyone that might have an answer and it's off the base topic a bit but still somewhat relative. Has anyone had issues with their sound on the CBS broadcasts of the games in the past? I will watch and listen to CBS, via DirecTV, then occaisionally switch to a FOX game during commercials, and have to reduce the volume on my TV considerably. I almost always watch the games on my patio TV, a Vizio, and have the volume almost maxed out(100) on CBS then have to lower it to about (50) when I flip to FOX. I don't notice the problem on my Samsung TV inside that has a sound bar but I am outside 98.5% watching the games on the patio and usually have the indoor TV on for when I'm running by for bathroom, beer or food breaks. I am considering a soundbar for the patio TV to help with the sound problem and just would like to know if I'm the only one with volume issues. Thanks
  19. Sorry, I was at the 1st game so I missed the thread but I'm watching this game and can see how horrible the jerseys actually are. Maybe I'm simplistic but I live the jerseys from the early 80's thru the late 90's. The collars are ridiculous. Whats next, bells on the helmets?
  20. Serious question. Every teams jersey looks like a clown costume
  21. Thanks HOUSE. That was a pretty cool video.
  22. Pretty much every day, sometimes for a minute just looking to see if anything is new, sometimes spending time reading the posts. It varies on the amount of time spent but still here almost daily.
  23. Looks like Landry Jones will be available for us at 32.
  24. We will let you know September 10th Rex
