I had a stretch of three or four days where it was really rough ... now I’m at the tail end I hope. Fever gone, aches gone and energy returning .... just a tickle in the throat at this point
I remember being there almost like it was yesterday .... maybe the absolute party atmosphere distracted me from remembering how cold it was ... I knew it was cold but don’t remember it being an issue - ah, the sweet naivety of youth!
Although I was unable to be tested, my symptoms and my doc indicate that I probably had the ‘Rona already, so I’d like to think I’d be good to go whenever the season starts.
Doug Whaley was a textbook example of what the old Management book “ The Peter Principle” made as one of its central tenants: a manager will rise through the ranks till they reach their level of incompetence. Whaley was a solid talent scout and that allowed him to rise to a position at which he was no longer truly competent.
